Treason is not a word that should be used lightly. One of the principal definitions assigned to the word at Dictionary.com is "a violation of allegiance to one's sovereign or to one's state." Therefore, any act that aids or abets the enemies of one's state may properly be considered treason.
With that definition fresh in our memories, let's consider recent actions undertaken by the President of the United States which may substantially strengthen the expressed enemies of our nation. When Barack Obama overruled Congress and released $1.5 billion in military aid, he clearly knew he was putting those weapons into the hands of the blatantly belligerent, Muslim Brotherhood, an extremist group which hates America, and has already undertaken steps to nullify Egypt's decades' long peace treaty with Israel. In fact, White House staffers met with members of the Muslim Brotherhood for high level discussions in the days immediately leading up to the release of that $1.5 billion to this unmistakable terrorist group.
And, yes, the Muslim Brotherhood DOES have ties to Muslim extremists in the United States, including the Islamic Society of North America, a group named by the Department of Justice as unindicted co-conspirators in a money-laundering criminal case filed against the Holy Land Foundation. That group, the Holy Land Foundation, had been charged with sending "donations" to support the work of HAMAS, a Palestinian terror organization responsible for nearly 40 percent of all suicide bombings within the state of Israel.
So Obama's minions schmooze with the jihadist terrorists, and big dollars change hands. Then, SURPRISE, we begin hearing rumblings that the Muslim Brotherhood will now be supporting Obama's re-election bid. In an online video, Tom Trento of The United West organization lists three reasons for this unholy alliance, Obama's perceived support for the establishment of global Islamic rule, Obama's decision to grant the Muslim Brotherhood that whopping, $1.5 billion in U.S. taxpayers' money, and Obama's anticipated support for a Palestinian state in his second term. Topping it all off, the May 6th edition of Jerusalem On The Line, an Internet newsletter published in Jerusalem, claims the Muslim Brotherhood will actually be donating funds to help get Barack HUSSEIN Obama re-elected, this November. Could these donations be funds supplied to them by U.S. taxpayers?
Whether that proves to be the case, or not, we must question the wisdom and the very allegiance of those providing billions of dollars in military supplies to people who hate us and want to kill both us, and our allies.
