Internet Security - Heartbleed bug: A downloadable Chrome extension & Mozilla/Firefox add-on to detect vulnerable sites

Displays a warning if the site you are browsing is affected by the Heartbleed
bug.  Also displays warnings on Google search results: the Heartbleed icon is added to Google search results where the site is still affected by the Heartbleed bug. -- Many HTTPS-secured sites on the internet use OpenSSL.  Unfortunately, a major vulnerability in OpenSSL was disclosed - known as the Heartbleed bug - yesterday that put hundreds of thousands of servers at risk of compromise. 

 Whilst some servers have been patched already, many remain that have not been patched.  Chromebleed uses a web service developed by Filippo Valsorda ( https://filippo.io/Heartbleed/ ) and checks the URL of the page you have just loaded.  If it is affected by Heartbleed, then a Chrome notification will be displayed.  It's as simple as that!

 Please note that, in some jurisdictions, site testing can only be carried out with the express permission of the site owner.  Please check what the law says in your local area before proceeding to download this extension.

Update: Word on the street from sources close to the militia movement is that up to 5,000 armed militia members will be arriving in Bunkerville, Nevada sometime today. (See full report below)
     SHTFplan.com Editor's Note: It is apparent that the Federal government was under the impression that they could simply move into the ranch land surrounding Bunkerville, NV and have their way with the property and livelihood of the Bundy family. What they didn't count on was the outcry from Americans across the country. And now things may be headed to the next level. As Kim Paxton of The Daily Sheeple notes, citizen militias in several states have been called up. Many members of those organizations are taking up arms and are making their way to Nevada.
     And it's not just the citizen militias that are preparing to take action. The governor of Nevada has officially condemned the federal government's actions, though he has yet to take any steps afforded to him under State law. Sheriff Richard Mack of Gilbert, Arizona has weighed in and calls the actions "terrorism."
     At last count there were some 200 federal agents from various agencies on the ground in Nevada and it appears that hundreds, perhaps thousands, of armed militia members will soon arrive to confront them.
     The Federal government will no doubt step up their efforts, as they are facing the possibility of a widespread rebellion resulting from their actions against a private citizen whose only "crime" was to graze his cattle on the land his family has used for this purpose for over a century. It would not be at all surprising to see the President of the United States call up National Guard troops and more militarized law enforcement officials for fear of having this spiral out of control. A declaration of martial law to go along with already established First Amendment Areas is not out of the question.
We may well be on the cusp of a serious stand-off involving thousands of people. Keep in mind that most of them will be armed.
     Given the circumstances, things could turn very bloody very quickly.

Militias Are On Route: Is the 2nd American Revolution Starting in Bunkerville, Nevada?

     An area just outside of the little town of Bunkerville, Nevada, with a population of around a thousand people, may go down in history.  This little spot in the desert may be compared with Lexington, Massachusetts, the site of the "shot heard round the world" – the first shot fired in the American Revolution.  Because it looks like the second American Revolution may start there…and soon.
     Yesterday, The Daily Sheeple reported that tensions were running high outside of Bunkerville. It seems that the US government, in all of their infinite wisdom, has declared war on a cattle rancher named Cliven Bundy.
In a stand-off that has been likened to Ruby Ridge and Waco, the federal government has now deployed armed agents in a case of what the U.S. Department of the Interior's Bureau of Land Management (BLM) has deemed "trespass cattle," escalating a 20-year battle over grazing rights and what actually constitutes "public land" use in Southern Nevada.
Cliven Bundy, a 67-year-old rancher says his family has worked the 600,000-acre Gold Butte area since the late 1800s and that they were there well before the government's Land Management Bureau ever came along. (source)
     Armed federal officers have arrived to steal Bundy's cattle and close down the land he is using.  What's more, they have declared a zone around the area to be free of the restrictions of the Constitution, specifically, the First Amendment right to assemble and speak freely. They'd like to keep their reprehensible actions quiet and out of the public eye. It's really difficult to mow down a bunch of protesters ala Waco with the whole world watching.
     Yesterday, tensions began to rise even further and numerous protestors were tazed and assaulted.  (You can see the actions of those brave BLM officers on this video HERE).
     It looks like tensions will rise even further because Americans have had enough.
     Militias have been mobilised. It's going to get real.
     Bundy may be facing down a bunch of armed federal thugs but he's going to be backed up by militia members from across the country.     
     This is the day that Patriots have been talking about and training for. They will not stand down.
     CBS reports that militias from Texas, Montana, Utah, New Hampshire, and Florida will be standing with Bundy against the Bureau of Land Management.
     If you aren't a combatant, this doesn't mean that you can't participate in this revolt against tyranny.  This is a call to action.

     Share information in support of these people who refuse to stand idly by while theft, violence, and tyranny occurs at the hands of the government.  If we all spread the word, there is no way that another Ruby Ridge or Waco can quietly occur. We can combat the disinformation spouted by the mainstream media by publishing REAL photos, REAL videos, and REAL accounts of what is happening. We can keep the communication open and tell the world what the United States government is doing to its own people.

The Bureau of Land Management has picked up a snake by the tail, and it looks like that snake is going to bite.

(by Paul Joseph Watson) -- Clark County Commissioner Tom Collins has caused outrage by remarking that Utahns planning to travel to Nevada to support Cliven Bundy in his standoff against the feds "better have funeral plans".
     The comments were revealed by Darin Bushman, a Piute County, Utah, commissioner after he spoke with Collins about Utah ranchers and his colleagues on the County Commission complaining about tactics used by Bureau of Land Management agents during their seizure of Bundy's cattle in southern Nevada.
     "I was just told by commissioner Collins of Clark County NV that all of us folks from Utah are a bunch of "inbred bastards" and if we are coming to Clark County NV to support Cliven Bundy we all "better have funeral plans". We should "turn our asses around on mind our own f-ing business". Now there's some classy leadership for you," wrote Bushman on his official Facebook page.
     After the story was picked up by the Las Vegas Review Journal, Bushman responded to the controversy by posting on Facebook, "I guess I've made an enemy in Las Vegas." The commissioner also lambasted Clark County Sheriff Douglas Gillespie as being, "too spineless to exercise his Jurisdiction". Earlier this week, Cliven Bundy called on Sheriff Gillespie to start arresting BLM feds on charges of trespassing and theft.
     Collins' remarks were made in the context of him fearing that protests against the BLM could turn violent, which is ironic given that the only person invoking direct violence is Collins himself.
     "I'm trying to do everything I can to discourage anybody who tells me they're coming here with loaded guns," Collins said. "I'm going to tell them not to come," adding, "The Bundys want peace, they don't want any violence going on so all these gun-packing folks just need to go home."
     Clark County commissioners will hold a meeting next week to discuss issues of decorum in response to Collins' comments. It is unclear whether or not any action will be taken against him.
Bushman questioned Collins' sanity in light of his offensive comments.
     "This guy was just off-the-hook weird," he said. "I've never ran into a fellow commissioner who treated me like that."

     From near and wide, armed men are trickling toward Cliven Bundy's ranch, where the rancher's fight with the federal government has become a rallying cry for militia groups across the United States.
On Wednesday, that dispute teetered at the edge of deadly conflict, when Cliven Bundy's family members and supporters scuffled with rangers from the Bureau of Land Management sent to protect the federal roundup of Bundy's cattle on public land.
     One of Bundy's seven sons was shot with a stun gun, and Bundy's sister was knocked to the ground; but no one was seriously hurt, and no arrests were made.
     By late Wednesday, three militia members — two from Montana and one from Utah — had arrived at the ranch 80 miles northeast of Las Vegas. Other militia groups have inundated the Bundy household with calls and pledges to muster at the site. Their stated goal: to protect the Bundys from tyranny.

     They say they are prepared for armed confrontation, but they insist they will not be the instigators if bloodshed happens.
     Ryan Payne and Jim Lardy, members of the West Mountain Rangers, made the 12-hour drive from western Montana on Tuesday night. Payne is also a coordinator with Operation Mutual Aid, a national association that describes itself as a coalition of state militias.
     "They all tell me they are in the process of mobilizing as we speak," Payne said.
     He didn't put a specific estimate on how many militia members may come, but he said the groups expected are from places like New Hampshire, Texas and Florida and could number in the hundreds.
     "We need to be the barrier between the oppressed and the tyrants," he said. "Expect to see a band of soldiers."
     Payne, 30, and Lardy, 49, both wore holstered handguns as they spoke, but they downplayed the display of firepower. They wear their weapons daily.
     They say the goals are for no one to be harmed, the Bundy family to be protected, and the Bundy property restored.
     For now, the militia members will camp on the Bundy ranch. They say the issue isn't about cattle or grazing rights; it's about constitutional rights.
     "We're not anti-government," said Lardy, who cuts firewood for a living. "We're anti-corrupt government."
     Stephen Dean, 45, an artist from Utah, said he made the trip in hopes of heading off another Ruby Ridge or Waco, referring to deadly confrontations involving federal agents in Idaho in 1992 and in Texas in 1993.
     A member of the People's United Mobile Armed Services, Dean said he also carries weapons more powerful than his firearms: a camera and the Internet. Those tools will document the plight of the Bundy ranch and bring the issue to light, he said. "I'm here to see it does happen differently."
     Serious bloodshed was narrowly avoided earlier in the day, when a BLM ranger shot Ammon Bundy, a son of Cliven Bundy, with a stun gun during a heated confrontation a few miles from the ranch house.
     A YouTube video shows protesters and law enforcement officers yelling and threatening each other as trucks involved in the roundup attempt to drive through. The officers have stun guns drawn, and one is trying to push the crowd back with a barking dog on a leash.
     Cheryl Teerlink, said Ammon Bundy was hit by a stun gun in his arm, chest and neck, but he shook off the first attempt to incapacitate him. "I pulled the tasers out of him," Teerlink said.

BLM Action in Nevada is Unconstitutional, Here's Why

(by Kurt Nimmo, Infowars.com) -- The establishment media is now paying attention to Cliven Bundy and his struggle with the Bureau of Land Management. Most of this coverage assumes Bundy is engaged in illegal cattle grazing on federal land.
     "The U.S. government is rounding up Bundy's cattle that it says have been grazing illegally on public lands in Clark County for more than 20 years, according to the land-management bureau and the National Park Service," CNN reports today.
     The BLM insists "Mr. Bundy has… failed to comply with multiple court orders to remove his cattle from the federal lands and to end the illegal trespass."
     It is the BLM, not Cliven Bundy, who is in violation of the law and the Constitution, specifically Article 1, Section 8, Clause 17 of the Constitution.
     The clause, known as the Enclave Clause, authorizes Congress to purchase, own and control land in a state under specific and limited conditions, namely "for the erection of forts, magazines, arsenals, dockyards, and other needful buildings," and not, as the feds now insist, to protect an endangered tortoise.
     The Founders were opposed to providing a centralized federal government with unlimited authority to purchase and, as is routinely the case today, seize state and private land.
     During the federal convention debates in September, 1787, Elbridge Gerry, who later went on to serve as vice president under James Madison, contended federal purchase of land "might be made use of to enslave any particular State by buying up its territory, and that the strongholds proposed would be a means of awing the State into an undue obedience."
     In order to make certain the federal government did not abuse the Enclave Clause, the words "Consent of the Legislature of the State" were added.
     Madison, Jefferson and the Founders were primarily interested in limited government and the diffusion of federal authority over the states for the protection of individual liberty. In 1992, the Supreme Court issued an opinion on the framers' reasoning behind the state consent requirement (New York v. U.S):
     "The Constitution does not protect the sovereignty of States for the benefit of the States or state governments as abstract political entities, or even for the benefit of the public officials governing the States. To the contrary, the Constitution divides authority between federal and state governments for the protection of individuals. State sovereignty is not just an end in itself: rather, federalism secures to citizens the liberties that derive from the diffusion of sovereign power." (Emphasis added.)
     Madison knew unlimited federal power inevitably results in unbridled tyranny. "I venture to declare it as my opinion that, were the power of Congress to be established in the latitude contended for, it would subvert the very foundations, and transmute the very nature of the limited government established by the people of America," he wrote.
     Despite the desire of the founders and the originating principles of the nation, conceived as a constitutional republic, the federal government has repeatedly and habitually exacted dictatorial authority in Nevada and throughout much of the West.
     "The United States government owns and has broad authority to regulate federal lands in Nevada," the BLM arrogantly insists. "In response to challenges of federal ownership of the lands in Nevada, the 9th circuit held that the federal government owned all federal lands in Nevada, and that those lands did not pass to the state upon statehood."
     This is in direct conflict with Article 1, Section 8, Clause 17 of the Constitution.
Cliven Bundy's struggle with the BLM in Nevada is exactly the situation Madison and the founders tried to prevent. The federal government does not have the constitutional authority to own land, beyond what is stipulated in the Enclave Clause, and its seizure of land, under the obviously fallacious pretense of protecting a tortoise, is a serious violation of the Constitution.

Harry Reid's (D-Nev.) former senior adviser, has purged documents from its web site stating that the agency wants Nevada rancher Cliven Bundy's cattle off of the land his family has worked for over 140 years in order to make way for solar panel power stations.
     Corrupt Democratic Sen. Harry Reid (D-Nev.) working with the Chinese gov't to take land from hard-working Americans.
     Deleted from BLM.gov but reposted for posterity by the Free Republic, the BLM document entitled "Cattle Trespass Impacts" directly states that Bundy's cattle "impacts" solar development, more specifically the construction of "utility-scale solar power generation facilities" on "public lands."
     "Non-Governmental Organizations have expressed concern that the regional mitigation strategy for the Dry Lake Solar Energy Zone utilizes Gold Butte as the location for offsite mitigation for impacts from solar development, and that those restoration activities are not durable with the presence of trespass cattle," the document states.
     Another BLM report entitled Regional Mitigation Strategy for the Dry Lake Solar Energy Zone (BLM Technical Note 444) reveals that Bundy's land in question is within the "Dry Lake Solar Energy Zone and surrounding area" which is part of a broad U.S. Department of Energy program for "Solar Energy Development in Six Southwestern States" on land "managed" by BLM.
     "In 2012, the BLM and the U.S. Department of Energy published the Final Programmatic Environmental Impact Statement (PEIS) for Solar Energy Development in Six Southwestern States," the report reads. "The Final Solar Programmatic Environmental Impact Statement assessed the impact of utility-scale solar energy development on public lands in the six southwestern states of Arizona, California, Colorado, Nevada, New Mexico, and Utah."
     "The Approved Resource Management Plan Amendments/Record of Decision (ROD) for Solar Energy Development in Six Southwestern States implemented a comprehensive solar energy program for public lands in those states and incorporated land use allocations and programmatic and SEZ-specific design features into land use plans in the six-state study area."
     In 2012, the New American reported that Harry Reid's son, Rory Reid, was the chief representative for a Chinese energy firm planning to build a $5-billion solar plant on public land in Laughlin, Nevada.
And journalist Marcus Stern with Reuters also reported that Sen. Reid was heavily involved in the deal as well.
     "[Reid] and his oldest son, Rory, are both involved in an effort by a Chinese energy giant, ENN Energy Group, to build a $5 billion solar farm and panel manufacturing plant in the southern Nevada desert," he wrote. "Reid has been one of the project's most prominent advocates, helping recruit the company during a 2011 trip to China and applying his political muscle on behalf of the project in Nevada."
     "His son, a lawyer with a prominent Las Vegas firm that is representing ENN, helped it locate a 9,000-acre (3,600-hectare) desert site that it is buying well below appraised value from Clark County, where Rory Reid formerly chaired the county commission."
     Although these reports are in plain view, the mainstream media has so far ignored this link.
The BLM's official reason for encircling the Bundy family with sniper teams and helicopters was to protect the endangered desert tortoise, which the agency has previously been killing in mass due to "budget constraints."
     "A tortoise isn't the reason why BLM is harassing a 67 year-old rancher; they want his land," journalist Dana Loesch wrote. "The tortoise wasn't of concern when [U.S. Senator] Harry Reid worked with BLM to literally change the boundaries of the tortoise's habitat to accommodate the development of his top donor, Harvey Whittemore."
     "Reid is accused of using the new BLM chief as a puppet to control Nevada land (already over 84% of which is owned by the federal government) and pay back special interests," she added. "BLM has proven that they've a situational concern for the desert tortoise as they've had no problem waiving their rules concerning wind or solar power development. Clearly these developments have vastly affected a tortoise habitat more than a century-old, quasi-homesteading grazing area."
     "If only Clive Bundy were a big Reid donor."

o'payola is only pushing for increasing the federal minimum wage and encouraging states to do the same because many union wage/retirement contracts' pay scales are indexed to the minimum wage set by government.  Thus, a percentage increase in minimum wage may hike union wages up by an equal percentage.  It is no mistake, as part of the 'payback' scheme, that SEIU is being allowed to escort federal inspectors, e.g. OSHA on site inspections, which further excacerbates the problem of 'cronyism' and 'payback' politics rampant throughout o'payola's regime.  It appears that his 'bleeding heart' for low wage employees is nothing more than a thinly veiled smokescreen to reward [using taxpayer monies] those who voted him into office and who will support Democrats in the November 2014 election and H16 in Nov. 2016's election. -- rfh

     The Cato Institute released an updated 2013 study (original study in 1955) showing that welfare benefits pay more than a minimum wage job in 33 states and the District of Columbia.  Even worse, welfare pays more than $15 per hour in 13 states.  According to the study, welfare benefits have increased faster than minimum wage.  It is now more profitable to sit at home than it is to earn an honest day's pay.
     Hawaii is the biggest offender, where welfare recipients earn $29.13 per hour, or a $60,590 yearly salary, all for doing nothing.

Nancy Pelosi will retire as a Congress Person at $174,000 Dollars a year for LIFE.  She has retired as SPEAKER at $223,500 a year.
PLUS she will receive an additional $193,400 a year as Minority Leader.
That's $803,700 Dollars a year for LIFE including FREE medical
which is not available to us ... the taxpayers
She is just one of the hundreds of Senators and Congress that float in and out every year!
I think we found where the cuts should be made!
