     President Obama’s Administration is assisting radicals in their quest to overtake the U.S. judicial system.

     The supposed “Arab Spring” is now the “Jihad Winter.”

     Of course we are against dictators who force their personal will over thousands and millions of people.  Nobody values freedom and democracy more than we do, but, we look beyond today’s news to the terror pitfalls that lie immediately ahead.

     Sharia Law is being implemented throughout the world — growing one country at a time — with the United States as one of its main objectives!  Sharia Law is orthodox Islam’s repressive, supremacist political-military-legal system.  Its major goal is to destroy Western civilization in favor of a new global spiritual leader that will govern Muslims and non-Muslims alike according to its principles.

     Sharia is by design a complete and all-encompassing doctrine.  It dictates not only the rules governing religious practice but all other aspects of life as well.  It is hostile toward American freedoms in a number of ways, as it denies liberties that are guaranteed to us by the U.S. Constitution.

     Sharia and its instrument of expansion and implementation – jihads of both the violent and stealth kinds – constitute sedition.

     Yet, Barack Obama approves. Already, Sharia Law is creeping into the U.S. judicial system!

     Florida’s U.S. Rep.      Regardless of the radical Muslim Brotherhood and even MORE radical Salafis capturing 61% of the first phase of the Egyptian vote, the Obama administration seems not to care about the outcome: unlike Obama, the Israeli Defense Minister said the initial results were “very, very disturbing.”  Egypt’s new parliament will supervise the writing of a new constitution for Egypt. Radical Islam could be the “law of the land” in Egypt early next year!  A former ally in keeping Middle East peace, Egypt will soon be run by radicals.  Yet Obama sings their praises!  Read on — Jay Carney, White House press secretary describes:

     “The fact of the matter is, the democratic process is what’s important!”  “Principles matter to this president, not parties.  And we hold whatever party prevails or is represented in the outcome of an election like this – whether it’s in Egypt or elsewhere – our standards have to do with respect for human rights, respect for the democratic process, renunciation of violence, and inclusion of and respect for minorities in the process.”

     The White House press secretary went on to explain the administration’s position:

     “Before we judge the disposition of a government or a parliament that is only just beginning to take shape through elections that have started today, I think we need to let the process run its course, continue to espouse our firm support for democratic principles and for civilian control of the government, and then judge the outcome by the actions of those who prevail.”

     What kind of a world does the administration live in where a radical terror organization who is dedicated unto death to taking over the world, is congratulated by a United States presidential administration which says:

     “I congratulate the Egyptian people for a peaceful, successful start to their election process.”

     Sharia Law is a strong recipe for nation-altering disaster for the United States of America.  Please FAX to stop the spread of Sharia!

     Secretary of State Hillary Clinton describes the election process in Egypt:

     “What parties call themselves is less important than what they do. The suggestion that faithful Muslims cannot thrive in a democracy is insulting, dangerous and wrong.”

     State Department spokesman Mark Toner declared:

     “We’ve been very clear about how we view the Muslim Brotherhood, which is that if they’re committed to the democratic process, we welcome them as a part of the political process.”

     While speaking at a press conference on October 25th, U.S. State Department spokeswoman Victoria Nuland portrayed the Arab Spring as a “newly democratic, newly free people … feeling their way forward.”

     She said, “We’ve seen various Islamic-based democracies wrestle with the issue of establishing rule of law within an appropriate cultural context.  But the number one thing is that universal human rights, rights for women, rights for minorities, right to due process, right to transparency be fully respected.”

     Unbelievable!  Obviously these spokespersons have not read the Qur’an and have not studied the ultimate goal of the Muslim Brotherhood — world domination (where women have very few rights).

     Sharia law has not only been winning the hearts in the Middle East, but has already infiltrated the United States of America!

     Right now, there are approximately 52 cases from 23 different states involving “conflict of law” between Sharia and American law!

BIG BEND NATIONAL PARK, Texas –  The bloody drug war in Mexico shows no sign of relenting. Neither do calls for tighter border security amid rising fears of spillover violence.
     This hardly seems a time the U.S. would be willing to allow people to cross the border legally from Mexico without a customs officer in sight. But in this rugged, remote West Texas terrain where wading across the shallow Rio Grande undetected is all too easy, federal authorities are touting a proposal to open an unmanned port of entry as a security upgrade.
     By the spring, kiosks could open up in Big Bend National Park allowing people from the tiny Mexican town of Boquillas del Carmen to scan their identity documents and talk to a customs officer in another location, at least 100 miles away.
     The crossing, which would be the nation's first such port of entry with Mexico, has sparked opposition from some who see it as counterintuitive in these days of heightened border security. Supporters say the crossing would give the isolated Mexican town long-awaited access to U.S. commerce, improve conservation efforts and be an unlikely target for criminal operations.
     "People that want to be engaged in illegal activities along the border, ones that are engaged in those activities now, they're still going to do it," said William Wellman, Big Bend National Park's superintendent. "But you'd have to be a real idiot to pick the only place with security in 300 miles of the border to try to sneak across."
     The proposed crossing from Boquillas del Carmen leads to a vast expanse of rolling scrub, cut by sandy-floored canyons and violent volcanic rock outcroppings. The Chihuahuan desert wilderness is home to mountain lions, black bears and roadrunners, sparsely populated by an occasional camper and others visiting the 800,000-acre national park.
     Customs and Border Protection, which would run the port of entry, says the proposal is a safe way to allow access to the town's residents, who currently must travel 240 road miles to the nearest legal entry point. It also would allow park visitors to visit the town.
     If the crossing is approved, Border Patrol would have eight agents living in the park in addition to the park's 23 law enforcement rangers.
     "I think it's actually going to end up making security better," CBP spokesman William Brooks said.

     "Once you've crossed you're still not anywhere. You've got a long ways to go and we've got agents who are in the area. We have agents who patrol. We have checkpoints on the paved roads leading away from the park."
     A public comment period runs through Dec. 27 on the estimated $2.3 million project, which has support at the highest levels of government from both countries.

     But U.S. Rep. Michael McCaul, a Texas Republican member of the House Homeland Security committee, questioned the wisdom of using resources to make it easier to cross the border.

     "We need to use our resources to secure the border rather than making it easier to enter in locations where we already have problems with illegal crossings," McCaul said in an email. "There is more to the oversight of legal entry than checking documents. (U.S. Customs and Border Protection) needs to be physically present at every point of entry in order to inspect for contraband, detect suspicious behavior and, if necessary, act on what they encounter."

     While CBP will run the port of entry, the National Park Service is the driver behind the project, which it hopes will help conservation efforts on both sides of the border. Even as the National Park Service has increased cooperation with its Mexican counterpart, joint conservation has been limited by the inability of personnel to cross the border without making a circuitous 16-hour drive, Wellman said.
     So the National Park Service is building the contact station just above the Rio Grande. It will house CBP kiosks where crossers will scan in their documents and talk to a customs officer in Presidio, the nearest port of entry, or another remote location. Park service employees will staff the station, offering information about the park and guiding people through the process.
     Similar ports of entry are already in operation on remote parts of the border with Canada.
     "We think we can do this without doing any damage to national security and possibly enhance security along the border by having better intelligence, better communication with people in Mexico," Wellman said.     The crossing would also restore a long-running relationship between the park, its visitors and the residents of Boquillas del Carmen, the town of adobe dwellings set a short distance from the river in Mexico.
     For years, U.S. tourists added an international dimension to their park visit by wading or ferrying in a rowboat across the shallow Rio Grande to the town. There they bought handicrafts and tacos, providing much-needed cash in the isolated community.
     But US officials discouraged such informal crossings in 2002 after the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks prompted calls for tighter border security. Without access to tourists or supplies on the U.S. side, the town of just more than 100 people has seen a 42 percent drop in population from 2000 to 2010.
     Gary Martin, who manages the Rio Grande Village store at a nearby park campground, recalls many Mexican residents crossing the river to pick up groceries and other necessities.
     "We're their supply," Martin said. "They don't have any electricity over there. So they would come here and buy frozen chicken, cake mixes and things that they couldn't get over there."
     Martin tried to stock food items Boquillas del Carmen residents wanted, such as eggs and big sacks of beans.
     "After the border closed, well, I got rid of most of my food and went back to gifts because I wasn't making any money," Martin said. He estimated about 40 percent of the store's revenue came from Boquillas residents.
     Few have risked crossing to the store since. "If they get caught over here they get shipped off," he said. "They get deported all the way to Ojinaga and then they've got to find their way home. It's not really worth it."     Still, most days some Boquillas del Carmen residents wade across the river a short distance downstream of the old crossing and scramble up to a paved overlook perched high above the river.
     On boulders near the parking spots they lay out painted walking sticks, scorpions and roadrunners crafted from copper wire and colorful beads. Each craftsman's work occupies a different rock and operates on the honor system with the hope tourists will drop four or five dollars in their jar.
     "Sometimes we don't sell anything," said Boquillas del Carmen resident Guillermo Gonzalez Diaz. "Sometimes we sell one." And other times authorities confiscate everything.
     Gonzalez, a 34-year-old father of three, described his town as "very sad, very hard" and said there was no work. Without access to the Rio Grande Village store, residents depend on a bus that runs once a week to Melchor Muzquiz, a larger town about 150 miles away, for supplies. 
    A small military presence protects the town from the drug-related violence that has engulfed other Mexican border towns. Now with news of the port of entry, residents are already making plans for restaurants and shops, he said.
     "When it closed nobody crossed and everything went downhill.  People began to leave," he said. "Now people are going to return."

     We can continue to try repairing the old economy or we can create a new one.
      Financial crises, stagnant wages, persistently high unemployment, protests and growing government deficits coinciding with a loss of government jobs are all legitimate problems in their own right, but they are more likely symptoms of something deeper.  We’re living into one of the four biggest economic transitions since the Dark Ages.
      Since about 1300, a pattern of social invention and revolution has created three economies: an agricultural, an industrial, and an information economy.  And that pattern is now repeating to create a fourth – the entrepreneurial economy.
     These changes we’re experiencing are different from normal business cycles.  This is bigger.
     The last shift in the West – beginning around 1900 – took us from an economy led by advances in capital to one led by advances in knowledge work, a transition from an industrial to an information economy.
     Progress from about 1700 to 1900 came from dramatic increases in capital: Steam engines, factories, stock and bond markets, and banks were invented or recreated and the communities that increased capital the most advanced the most.
     Progress from about 1900 to the present followed from the rise of knowledge workers: Inventions like the modern university and corporation, and radical advances in information technology helped to create an information economy in which companies making virtual products often became more valuable than those making “real stuff.”  Communities that ignored the question of how to create more knowledge workers and make them more productive, and just focused instead on capital, were left behind.  When the limit shifts so must the focus.
     The emergence of each new economy has forced a revolution in the dominant institution.  This is no small thing.  The power of elites over the institution is dispersed outward.  People once used as tools by the institution begin to use the institution, instead, as a tool.  “We are all priests!”  Martin Luther declared, overturning the notion that religion was something to be defined by the Pope.  The first economy, from about 1300 to 1700, was catalyst to the Protestant Revolution.  The second economy, from about 1700 to 1900, brought us democratic revolutions.  The third economy, from about 1900 to 2000, democratized finance as knowledge workers’ pension funds and 401(k) funds came to define investment markets.
     This new fourth economy will likely transform the corporation – today’s dominant institution — in similar ways.  Most obviously, the role of the employee will become more like that of an entrepreneur.
     The simple, but sweeping, answer to the question of how to create more jobs is that we need to become more entrepreneurial.  The question of how we become more entrepreneurial will first be answered within the corporation.
     Depending on how one measures it, corporations make up between one-third to two-thirds of the 100 largest economies in the world, yet very few of them encourage entrepreneurship.
     Developed countries are considered lands of opportunities where people can expect to make more than heads of state.  (About 6 million Americans make more than President Barack Obama.)  By contrast, corporate employees are about as likely to make more than the CEO as past citizens of Iraq, Libya or 17th century France were to earn more than Saddam, Kaddafi or Louis XIV.  Such restraints to opportunity and autonomy suggest huge gains could follow from democratizing corporations and creating more entrepreneurial opportunities for the employees within them.
     Our media and attention is fixated on political – and sometimes financial – changes we could make to create jobs, but it may turn out that such changes are merely incidental to the scope of the changes needed within corporations.
     Despite initial appearances, we’re living in a time of incredible opportunity.  Shifting our focus to overcoming the limit of entrepreneurship will mean advances as dramatic – and at times as disorienting – as those of the last three economies.  And if you’re a student of history, you realize how very dramatic that is.
     An entrepreneurial economy is ready to emerge.  Millions of new jobs depend on today’s communities redefining the corporation as dramatically as past communities redefined church, state and bank.  The fourth economy is ready to emerge but it’s not something we’ll notice as long as we stay focused on trying to repair the third economy.

     NEW YORK - The average US household lost $21,261 of net worth this summer, the largest decline in family wealth in nearly three years.

     The drop in the third quarter, tied to falling home values and a cratering stock market, is the second straight quarter of eroding wealth, according to the Federal Reserve's quarterly report, released Thursday.

Prior to the back-to-back quarterly declines in household net worth, which wiped out $2.55 trillion from families' ledgers, Main Street experienced three straight quarters of growth, the report said.

     Household net worth is the value of assets like homes, bank accounts and stocks, minus debts like mortgages and credit cards.

But that's not before he's allegedly wasted hundreds of thousands of dollars on taxpayer-funded booty call trips to his New York-based girlfriend. And then there's the do-nothing plum job he created out of whole cloth for his friend, Erik Barnett. You've probably never heard of him, but you are paying for him to take a luxe year-long sabbatical to Europe . . . and his brand new $55,000 Audi.

     Over the last year or so, a number of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents have contacted me regarding Erik Barnett and how he has used his government positions to cozy up to the movie industry and try to get hired by a Hollywood studio. They can't figure out what else he does for a living. It's certainly not protecting U.S.citizens from illegal aliens, nor is it enforcing U.S. customs law. Mr. Barnett is now making well over $200,000 per year in salary and benefits, while he hangs out in Brussels in the dubious position of "Senior Policy Advisor to the European Union/Deputy Director of the IPR Center for Europe." IPR stands for Intellectual Property Rights, and Barnett's job is allegedly to advise the European Union on how to protect their intellectual property rights and those of pro sports teams and celebrities here in America. Check out the invitation for Barnett's "good-bye" party, held by ICE in September announcing his cushy new ICE job in Belgium.
     Why you–and not the European Union or wealthy pro sports leagues and Hollywood–are paying for this BS position is a question you'd have to ask Barack Hussein Obama and his hand-picked ICE chief, Mr. Moron. Oh, and Morton's direct boss, Homeland Security chief Janet Napolitano. The job Barnett holds didn't exist under the Bush Administration. It was created by Morton to give his buddy, Barnett, a George Washington University law professor and staffer to uber-liberal Senator Dick "Gitmo is Auschwitz" Durbin, a fancy European vacation on your dime. (Barnett worked with Morton as an assistant U.S. Attorney in Virginia and has zero law enforcement experience. His list of paper-pusher bureaucrat jobs is on LinkedIn.) The job was nev er announced, nor was there an application, interview process, or any other competitive selection procedure, as is the case with normal government jobs.
     You paid for Mr. Barnett to move with his wife and two kids to Brussels. You are paying for his "Senior Executive Service" (SES) job in Europe, the only ICE employee with SES status in all of Europe. And although the SES title is given for senior ICE managers who actually manage a large number of employees, Barnett manages zero employees (other than himself). But getting SES status automatically requires the federal government to pay him $90,000 toward his housing in Europe. You are paying for his entire family to live in Brussels and, if he chose to sell his home in theU.S., you paid for the government to buy that home at market rates if he couldn't sell it after a few months. And I already mentioned the fancy Audi you bought for him so he can tool around Europe and not have to take the train or subway like all the "little people" in Europe.
     And this foray into Europe isn't the first time Mr. Morton's lawyer crony, Mr. Barnett, had do-nothing fun as a government employee. Before his European vacation began, Barnett had the lofty title, "Assistant Deputy Director of ICE" and headed the ICE National Intellectual Property Rights Coordination Center. I've told you about ICE's intellectual property rights work. It's an absurd expenditure of government resources to play the NFL's, Major League Baseball's, and other well-financed sports and entertainment companies' personal trademark enforcement police. And, again, it has nothing to do with ICE's missions, however growing and murky they become.
Barnett ran something called "Operation In Our Sites," in which ICE seized domain names, just as they did the other day. ICE's claim and argument is that these domain names sell fake Gucci bags that fund Islamic terrorism. And while it is true that ICE has investigated and arrested gangs and Muslim store owners around the country who sell fake merchandise that does, in fact, fund terrorism (and I applaud those investigations and arrests), the websites and other operations in which this center is involved have nothing to do with terrorism. Not only have none of the websites been linked to Islamic terrorism, but (as I've pointed out in previous posts on this site) ICE has never linked a single t-shirt or baseball hat that its agents seized at the Superbowl and Major All-Star Game to Islamic terrorism. In fact, ICE usually just dumps the shirts or donates them to charity. They don't investigate these people or arrest them. This is the stuff Mr. Barnett was in charge of. And it's the stuff he's supposedly involved with in Europe, where I'm sure there's a huge market for fake Les Detroit Tigres t-shirts.
     ICE agents who are actually 'ordered' to do these seizures, including the website seizures, think this is a complete waste of time and, as one agent called it, "a chicken-shit effort at grandstanding by senior political appointees at ICE – namely, Erik Barnett," designed to get media attention because ICE doesn't arrest illegal aliens anymore. As more than one ICE agent told me, this causes the criminal cases targeting criminal organizations to be placed on the back burner while these domain name seizure cases are shoved down the throats of ICE agents. Tens of thousands of dollars of specially budgeted funds are wasted buying fake Rolex watches and Chanel hand bags from Chinese based websites, or paying for memberships to download the latest rap song off of some site in order to justify seizures. These precious funds were earmarked for supporting major criminal investigations that would involve criminals going to jail.
     Barnett focused his efforts on the movie industry, as he is apparently looking to get a post-Obama job with one of the big Hollywood studios. ICE agents were told that they have to seize domain names since that would help Barnett and Morton get a national press conference with the Attorney General. And, voila, in the last week, John Morton had yet another press conference with Eric Holder bragging about how he's stopped Islamic terrorism by shutting down these websites. It's a big fat lie. As several agents told me, long-term criminal investigations into organized criminal activity that would result in people going to jail simply took too long for Barnett and takes too long for John Morton. ICE has been told that they can not work such long term cases because the ICE Obama appointees involved want to give press conferences every month or so in order to keep their names in the media, something Barnett did and Morton continues to do.
     When Barnett headed the ICE IPR Center, he held so many personal meetings with the motion picture industry, many ICE agents wondered whether they were working for Paramount Pictures, SONY, and FOX, rather than the American people. Even the U.S. Attorney's Office in the Eastern District of Virginia – where the IPR Center is located – has refused to deal with ICE regarding these domain name seizures.
     ICE agents want to work criminal cases. That's what they are supposed to do and it's their job description. As one ICE agent said (and other echoed him),

This domain name seizure operation is garbage. None of the sites stayed down. All of the Chinese sites selling fake hard goods had dozens of mirror sites up, which were never touched by John Morton. Other sites went back up immediately under different domain names.

     But it's great free publicity for John Morton . . . and it got Erik Barnett a fancy vacation in Europe on your dime.
     Meanwhile, ICE agents want to get back to working criminal cases to protect the American people. Sadly, they don't call the shots, and the Obamaniks have a different agenda: protecting and enriching themselves, while you pay for it.
     Your immigration enforcement tax dollars at work!

Seals tell of killing 'Bert' Laden
Upset by the official account, US Navy Seals commandos reveal the truth of the raid that killed Osama Bin Laden, nicknames and all.

     Osama Bin Laden was killed within 90 seconds of the US Navy Seals landing in his compound and not after a protracted gun battle, according to the first account by the men who carried out the raid.
     The operation was so clinical that only 12 bullets were fired.
     The Seals have spoken out because they were angered at the version given by politicians, which they see as portraying them as cold-blooded murderers on a "kill mission". They were also shocked that President Barack Obama announced Bin Laden's death on television the same evening, rendering useless much of the intelligence they had seized.
     Chuck Pfarrer, a former commander of Seal Team 6, which conducted the operation, has interviewed many of those who took part for a book, Seal Target Geronimo, to be published in the US this week.
The Seals' own accounts differ from the White House version, which gave the impression that Bin Laden was killed at the end of the operation rather than in its opening seconds. Pfarrer insists Bin Laden would have been captured had he surrendered.
     "There isn't a politician in the world who could resist trying to take credit for getting Bin Laden but it devalued the 'intel' and gave time for every other Al-Qaeda leader to scurry to another bolthole," said Pfarrer.
     "The men who did this and their valorous act deserve better.
     It's a pretty shabby way to treat these guys."
     The first hint of the mission came in January last year when the team's commanding officer was called to a meeting at the headquarters of joint special operations command. The meeting was held in a soundproof bunker three storys below ground with his boss, Admiral William McRaven, and a CIA officer.
     They told him a walled compound in Pakistan had been under surveillance for a couple of weeks. They were certain a high-value individual was inside and needed a plan to present to the president.
     It had to be someone important. "So is this Bert or Ernie?" he asked.
     The Seals' nicknames for Bin Laden and his deputy Ayman al-Zawahiri are a reference to two Muppets in Sesame Street, one tall and thin and the other short and fat. "We have a voice print," said the CIA officer, "and we're 60% or 70% certain it's our guy." McRaven added that a reconnaissance satellite had measured the target's shadow. "Over 6ft tall."
     When McRaven added they would use Ghost Hawk helicopters, the team leader had no doubt. "These are the most classified, sophisticated stealth helicopters ever developed," said Pfarrer. "They are kept in locked hangars and fly so quiet we call it 'whisper mode'."
     Over the next couple of months a plan was hatched. A mock-up of the compound was built at Tall Pines, an army facility in a national forest somewhere in the eastern US.
     Four reconnaissance satellites were placed in orbit over the compound, sending back video and communications intercepts. A tall figure seen walking up and down was named "the Pacer".
     Obama gave the go-ahead and Seal Team 6, known as the Jedi, was deployed to Afghanistan. The White House cancelled plans to provide air cover using jet fighters, fearing this might endanger relations with Pakistan.
     Sending in the Ghost Hawks without air cover was considered too risky so the Seals had to use older Stealth Hawks. A Prowler electronic warfare aircraft from the carrier USS Carl Vinson was used to jam Pakistan's radar and create decoy targets.
     Operation Neptune's Spear was initially planned for April 30 but bad weather delayed it until May 1, a moonless night. The commandos flew on two Stealth Hawks, codenamed Razor 1 and 2, followed by two Chinooks five minutes behind, known as "Command Bird" and the "gun platform". On board, each Seal was clad in body armour and nightvision goggles and equipped with laser targets, radios and sawn-off M4 rifles. They were expecting up to 30 people in the main house, including Bin Laden and three of his wives, two sons, Khalid and Hamza, his courier, Abu Ahmed al- Kuwaiti, four bodyguards and a number of children.
     At 56 minutes past midnight the compound came into sight and the code "Palm Beach" signalled three minutes to landing.
     Razor 1 hovered above the main house, a three-storey building where Bin Laden lived on the top floor. Twelve Seals abseiled the 5ft-6ft down onto the roof and then jumped to a third-floor patio, where they kicked in the windows and entered.
     The first person the Seals encountered was a terrified woman, Bin Laden's third wife, Khaira, who ran into the hall. Blinded by a searing white strobe light they shone at her, she stumbled back. A Seal grabbed her by the arm and threw her to the floor.
     Bin Laden's bedroom was along a short hall. The door opened; he popped out and then slammed the door shut. "Geronimo, Geronimo, Geronimo," radioed one Seal, meaning "eyes on target".
At the same time lights came on from the floor below and Bin Laden's son Khalid came running up the stairs towards the Seals. He was shot dead.
     Two Seals kicked in Bin Laden's door. The room, they later recalled, "smelt like old clothing, like a guest bedroom in a grandmother's house."  Inside was the Al-Qaeda leader and his youngest wife, Amal, who was screaming as he pushed her in front of him.
     "No, no, don't do this!" she shouted as her husband reached across the king-size bed for his AK-47 assault rifle. The Seals reacted instantly, firing in the same second. One round thudded into the mattress. The other, aimed at Bin Laden's head, grazed Amal in the calf. As his hand reached for the gun, they each fired again: one shot hit his breastbone, the other his skull, killing him instantly and blowing out the back of his head.
     Meanwhile Razor 2 was heading for the guesthouse, a low, shoebox-like building, where Bin Laden's courier, Kuwaiti, and his brother lived.
     As the helicopter neared, a door opened and two figures appeared, one waving an AK-47. This was Kuwaiti. In the moonless night he could see nothing and lifted his rifle, spraying bullets wildly.
     He did not see the Stealth Hawk. On board someone shouted, "Bust him!", and a sniper fired two shots. Kuwaiti was killed, as was the person behind him, who turned out to be his wife. Also on board were a CIA agent, a Pakistani-American who would act as interpreter, and a sniffer dog called Karo, wearing dog body armour and goggles.
     Within two minutes the Seals from Razor 2 had cleared the guesthouse and removed the women and children.
     They then ran to the main house and entered from the ground floor, checking the rooms. One of Bin Laden's bodyguards was waiting with his AK-47. The Seals shot him twice and he toppled over.
     Five minutes into the operation the command Chinook landed outside the compound, disgorging the commanding officer and more men. They blasted through the compound wall and rushed in.
     The commander made his way to the third floor, where Bin Laden's body lay on the floor face up.
       Photographs were taken, and the commander called on his satellite phone to headquarters with the words: "Geronimo Echo KIA" - Bin Laden enemy killed in action. "This was the first time the White House knew he was dead and it was probably 20 minutes into the raid," said Pfarrer.
     A sample of Bin Laden's DNA was taken and the body was bagged. They kept his rifle.  It is now mounted on the wall of their team room at their headquarters in Virginia Beach, Virginia, alongside photographs of a dozen colleagues killed in action in the past 20 years.
     At this point things started to go wrong. Razor 1 took off but the top secret "green unit" that controls the electronics failed. The aircraft went into a spin and crashed tail-first into the compound.
     The Seals were alarmed, thinking it had been shot down, and several rushed to the wreckage. The crew climbed out, shaken but unharmed.
     The commanding officer ordered them to destroy Razor 2, to remove the green unit, and to smash the avionics. They then laid explosive charges.
     They loaded Bin Laden's body onto the Chinook along with the cache of intelligence in plastic bin bags and headed toward the USS Carl Vinson. As they flew off they blew up Razor 2. The whole operation had taken 38 minutes.
     The following morning White House officials announced that the helicopter had crashed as it arrived, forcing the Seals to abandon plans to enter from the roof.  A photograph of the situation room showed a shocked Hillary Clinton, the secretary of state, with her hand to her mouth.
     Why did they get it so wrong?  What they were watching was live video but it was shot from 20,000ft by a drone circling overhead and relayed in real time to the White House and Leon Panetta, the CIA director, in Langley.  The Seals were not wearing helmet cameras, and those watching in Washington had no idea what was happening inside the buildings.
     "They don't understand our terminology, so when someone said the 'insertion helicopter' has crashed, they assumed it meant on entry," said Pfarrer.
     What infuriated the Seals, according to Pfarrer, was the description of the raid as a kill mission.  "I've been a Seal for 30 years and I never heard the words 'kill mission'," he said.  "It's a Beltway [Washington insider's]
fantasy word.  If it was a kill mission you don't need Seal Team 6; you need a box of hand grenades."
