Alabama Supreme Court Decides Obama Eligibility Case
This decision is sure to surprise a lot of people.

     Though he ended up in the minority, one prominent judge's dissenting opinion in a recent case is sure to earn him some support among those who question the legitimacy of Barack Obama's birth certificate.

     The Alabama Supreme Court recently ruled that the state does not hold a legal obligation to vet a presidential candidate before including him or her on a ballot. Representing the majority in the 7 to 2 decision, Justice Mike Bolin responded to the plaintiff's assertion that Alabama's secretary of state should inherently have the authority to confirm a candidate's legal standing to run.

     He called the post "a non-judicial office without subpoena power or investigative authority or the personnel necessary to undertake a duty to investigate a non-resident candidate's qualifications, even if such a duty could properly be implied."

     The high court's chief justice, however, took a decidedly different position. Roy Moore, in his dissenting opinion, not only upheld the opinion that the secretary of state should vet presidential candidates; he also indicated that Obama's background was worthy of such an investigation.

     "The complaint alleged that the Secretary of State failed to perform a constitutional duty to verify the eligibility of all presidential candidates appearing on the ballot in the 2012 general election," he wrote. Moore went on to conclude that, even though the election was held, the issue at hand was not rendered moot as the secretary argued.

     The issues brought up prior to the recent election, after all, could easily be concerns in future races.

     In a lengthy section of his opinion, titled "Challenges to the Qualifications of the President-Elect," he concludes that Congress has the authority to determine a presidential candidate's constitutional qualifications. Moore later writes, however, that a "state law that required birth certificates from presidential candidates as a precondition to placement on the ballot would likely pass muster under federal preemption law."

     In the end, he asserted, the U.S. Constitution is the standard to which the secretary of state should hold any candidate.

     By serving as "an executive officer of the State of Alabama," he wrote, the secretary "has an affirmative legal duty to recognize and support the United States Constitution as the supreme law of the land."

     Though his comments were couched in language that would apply to any potential candidate, he offered other instances of politicians seeking the nation's highest office who failed to meet constitutional standards.

     "These cases address situations in which allegedly ineligible presidential candidates have sought judicial relief from the decisions of state election officials excluding them from the ballot because they were underage," he wrote. The current case, he continued, "seeks inverse relief" by requiring "the Secretary of State to investigate for ineligibility candidates she has already certified for the presidential-election ballot and to screen all such candidates for eligibility in the future."

     Even though Bolin's opinion confirmed that "logically the Secretary of State, being the chief elections official of the state, should be vested with such a duty," he found that there is insufficient legal standing on which to make such a claim.

     Though this ruling might seem to be a win for Obama and his supporters, the existence of the case is a testament to resonating outrage over the current president's perceived illegitimacy. Moore's dissenting opinion only gives these Americans more hope that our government might once again challenge corruption – especially at the highest and most critical levels.

     The policies of President Barack Obama "have become progressively more hostile toward Christian

civilization," said Cardinal Raymond Burke, head of the highest court at the Vatican, in a recent interview.

     He added that Obama wants to restrict religious freedom and force the individual, outside of his or her place of worship, "to act against his rightly-formed conscience, even in the most serious of moral questions."

     In an interview first published in Polish in Polonia Christiana magazine and republished exclusively in English at LifeSite News, Cardinal Burke, the former archbishop of St. Louis, was asked about President Obama's policies towards Christian civilization and if there are any "Catholic reactions against this policy?  If yes, what are they, [or] if not, why?"
     Cardinal Burke, who heads the Apostolic Signatura, the highest court at the Vatican, said: "It is true that the policies of the president of the United States of America have become progressively more hostile toward Christian civilization.  He appears to be a totally secularized man who aggressively promotes anti-life and anti-family policies."

     Early in the Ukraine crisis, when the Europeans were working on bringing Ukraine into the EU system and Vladimir Putin was countering with threats and bribes, one British analyst lamented that "we went to a knife fight with a baguette."
     That was three months ago.  Life overtakes parody.  During the Ukrainian prime minister's visit to Washington last week, his government urgently requested military assistance.  The Pentagon refused.  It offered instead military ration kits.
     Putin mobilizes thousands of troops, artillery and attack helicopters on Ukraine's borders and Washington counters with baguettes, American-style.  One thing we can say for sure in these uncertain times: The invasion of Ukraine will be catered by the United States.
     Why did we deny Ukraine weapons?  Because in the Barack Obama-John Kerry worldview, arming the victim might be taken as a provocation.  This kind of mind-bending illogic has marked the administration's response to the whole Crimea affair.
     Why, after all, did Obama delay responding to Putin's infiltration, military occupation and seizure of Crimea in the first place?  In order to provide Putin with a path to de-escalation, "an off-ramp," the preferred White House phrase.
     An off-ramp?  Did they really think that Putin was losing, that his invasion of Crimea was a disaster from which he needed some face-saving way out?  And that the principal object of American diplomacy was to craft for Putin an exit strategy?
     It's delusional enough to think that Putin — in seizing Crimea, threatening eastern Ukraine, destabilizing Kiev, shaking NATO, terrifying America's East European allies and making the West look utterly helpless — was actually losing.  But to imagine that Putin saw it that way as well and was waiting for American diplomacy to save him from a monumental blunder is totally divorced from reality.
     After Obama's Russian "reset," missile-defense retreat and Syria comedown, Putin had already developed an undisguised disdain for his U.S. counterpart.  Yet even he must have been amazed by this newest American flight of fantasy.  Putin reclaims a 200-year-old Russian patrimony with hardly a shot and to wild applause at home — Putin's 72 percent domestic popularity is 30 points higher than Obama's — and America's leaders think he needs rescue?
     Putin made it clear that he preferred Sevastopol to good reviews from the "international community."  Yet Obama and Kerry held off doing anything until the Crimean referendum — after which, they ominously threatened, there would be "consequences."
     Obama unveiled them Monday in a four-minute statement as flat-toned as a legal notice in the classifieds.  The consequences?  Visa denial and frozen assets for 11 people, seven of them Russian. 
Seven!   Out of 140 million. No Putin.  No Dmitry Medvedev.  No oligarchs.  Nor any of Putin's inner circle of ex-KGBers.  No targeting of the energy sector or banks, Russia's industrial and financial lifeblood.
     This elicited unreserved mockery from the targeted Russians themselves.  One wondered whether the president's statement had been written by a prankster.  The Duma voted that it should be sanctioned -- all 353 members who'd voted for annexation.  And the financial markets, which abhor disruptions and crave nothing but continuity, responded with relief  Russia's spiked 3.7 percent; the Dow Jones rose 1.1 percent (180 points).
     Putin responded with appropriate contempt. Within hours he recognized Crimea's secession. The next day, he signed a treaty of annexation.  (Two days later, Obama expanded the list of sanctioned Russians and added one bank.  It will make no difference.)

     It won't be long before the March 31 Obamacare enrollment deadline arrives, and the latest data still show that very few people have signed up for the scheme. In fact, according to recent figures put out by the Obama administration, there have only been about 4.2 million total enrollments logged in healthcare exchanges across the country, and of these only 3.3 million enrollees have actually paid their premiums.
     As of March 1, less than half of the sitting government's projected 7 million Obamacare enrollments have actually materialized, and fewer still have followed through with actually paying for their Obama insurance. Based on data collected from the Obamacare marketplaces in California, Connecticut, Maryland, Nevada, Rhode Island, Vermont and Washington, less than 80 percent of Obamacare enrollees have thus far paid their insurance premiums, with no system in place to actually track these payments.
     According to the UK's Daily Mail, fewer than 1 million Americans signed up for Obamacare during the month of February, despite aggressive marketing campaigns that aired via television, radio and social media. Even a recent publicity stunt on the internet mini-show Funny or Die, where Obama hounded the public to sign up for Obamacare, failed to push enrollment numbers toward the administration's goal.
More than 80 percent of Obamacare enrollees previously had health insurance
     Because of this, the administration has had to readjust its projected enrollment outcomes and even twist the numbers to make it look like more people are complying with the healthcare takeover than actually are. Obama and co. have also glossed over the fact that most of the people signing up for Obamacare are people who previously had insurance and were forced to adopt the new plan
     "[O]nly 27 per cent [sic] of new enrollees — or 1.14 million of the total announced Tuesday — were uninsured before they signed up," writes political editor David Martosko for the Daily Mail. "Millions of insured Americans received cancellation letters from their insurers in October, November and December, spurred by the companies' recognition that their existing offerings didn't satisfy the Affordable Care Act's stringent minimum standards."
90 percent of eligible Americans refusing to sign up for Obamacare
     Another zinger is the overall percentage of eligible enrollees who have actually signed up for Obamacare. According to an analysis conducted by the consultancy group McKinsey & Co., only about 10 percent of eligible Americans have opted to participate in the program thus far, a dismal figure that demonstrates the true extent of Obamacare's unpopularity.
     "Of the 3.3 million people that the White House has touted as Obamacare exchange 'sign-ups,' less than 500,000 are actual uninsured people who have actually gained health coverage," writes Avik Roy forForbes.com, noting that the most significant reason why people are deciding not to enroll under Obamacare is that they simply cannot afford the premiums.
Percentage of Americans with health insurance has dropped since Obama took office
     With all this in mind, it is hardly surprising that the overall number of insured people in this country has actually dropped since Obama took office. The millions of hard-working Americans who were previously insured but who have now lost their coverage, as well as uninsured individuals everywhere who still cannot afford health insurance even under Obamacare, exceeds the number of people who are actually benefiting as a result of the scheme.
     "[W]hile the percentage of uninsured Americans has dropped from 17.1 per cent at the end of 2013 to just 15.9 per cent now, that number stood at just 14.4 per cent before Obama took office," adds Martosko about the dilemma.

     (Daily Mail) -- Michelle Obama and three of her family members are staying in a $8,350-per-night Beijing presidential suite, but despite a 24-hour butler and other perks that come with the lodging, her entourage has inconvenienced 'pretty much everyone' and made the hotel staff 'fed up,' a well-placed hotel staffer has told MailOnline.
     The sumptuous pad at the Westin Beijing Chaoyang hotel – its website calls the room 'an oasis of comfort – is a 3,400-square-foot masterpiece including a private steam room, 'corner sofas with silk pillows,' and in-room dining for six. 
     But the Obamas' stay has already affected staff and guests at the hotel, with the Westin front-desk veteran alleging that Mrs. Obama's mother Marian Robinson has been 'barking at the staff since she arrived.'

     'We can't wait for this to be over, to tell you the truth,' he said in a sudden hush. 'We entertain many important people here, but this has been, I think, very different.'

A spokesperson for Mrs. Obama declined to comment.

     First lady Michelle Obama, her two daughters, Malia and Sasha, and her mother touched down Thursday in China for what’s being touted as a week long feel-good tourist event, amid increasing murmurs back home about U.S. taxpayers having to foot the bill.

     Mrs. Obama is supposed to use her visit for soft diplomacy only, and shy from the more controversial topics that plague U.S.-China relations, namely human rights and economics.  No reporters accompanied the family on the trip.

     “The nature of her visit is really quite different,” deputy national security adviser Ben Rhodes told reporters ahead of the trip.  “What the first lady really brings is the power of her own story, the power of American values.”

     The White House also announced that Mrs. Obama wouldn't field any questions from journalists she encountered in Beijing, which rankled some members of the press and the private sector, given her trip — complete with an entourage of about 70 — was still being paid for with tax dollars.

     (WND) -- In recent weeks, representatives for the Obama administration have held meetings with a senior politician here in which the U.S. delegates brought up the possibility of replacing Benjamin Netanyahu as prime minister, according to an informed Jerusalem diplomatic source.
     The meetings were held with Israel's popular finance minister, Yair Lapid, founder and leader of the Yesh Atid Party, which became the second-largest party in the Knesset winning 19 seats in the last election.
     The diplomatic source said the Obama administration identified Lapid as a moderate who could be helpful in pushing the Israeli government into accepting the framework to create a future Palestinian state.
     According to the source, the talks included the possibility of Lapid bolting Netanyahu's government if the prime minister rejects the U.S.-brokered regional talks.

     -- Hold on, I've got a good one. What do you get when Joycelyn Elders, Barack Obama and a cross-dressing billionaire walk into a bar to discuss the U.S. Marines?
     The few.  The proud.  Dudes in skirts.
     That's right, we're moving into the next treasonous phase of the left's San Francisco-style sabotage of the world's once-greatest military.  In a few short years, "don't ask, don't tell" has become "do tell, do flaunt."
     TPNN's Greg Campbell reported on a recent example: "While Russia invades Ukraine, as Islamic terrorist factions plot the West's destruction, our service members at Kadena Air Force Base in Okinawa, Japan, are being treated to a 'gay' and lesbian drag show."
     Watch the video. It speaks for itself.  Under this Obama-nation, these guys, er, gals, er, whatever, represent, at least in part, what our enemies will face on the front lines.
     Scary.
     And by scary, I mean for us, not for them.

     Still, as the perversity-pushers like to say, "It gets better."  The implosion continues. WND reports, "A controversial ex-surgeon general, fired by President Bill Clinton after recommending children be taught how to masturbate (Joycelyn Elders), now has released a report advocating the incorporation of transgendered people into the U.S. military, and contending that a 40 percent attempted suicide rate and 43 percent burden of 'additional psychiatric diagnoses' constitute no reason to exclude them from America's armed forces."
     Lovely.  Yet another outcome-predetermined "study" – like those Obama used to homosexualize the military a few years back – designed to grease the skids for more radical social engineering in the ranks of the armed forces.
     How'd that turn out?  Since that time the military has seen a rapid 33 percent spike in military sexual assault, with a majority being male-on-male homosexual assaults.
     As FRC's Tony Perkins noted last year, "President Obama is finally admitting that sexual assault is a serious problem in the military – but what he hasn't conceded is that his policy on homosexuality helped create it. According to a new Pentagon survey, most of the victims were not female (12,000 incidents), but male (14,000) – highlighting a growing trend of same-sex assault in our ranks."
     Hate to say we told you so.
     No wonder Putin and other tyrants abroad no longer fear America.  We've got Blustering Barry and a bunch of pansy-bummed "progressives" in charge of our national defense.  These social Marxists are hell-bent on gutting the military from within.
     Coming "out"?  That's for sure.  Out with integrity, honor and strength – in with perversion, shame and weakness.
     I served 12 years in the armed forces and can't decide where my heartbreak begins and my disgust ends.  I know the vast majority of military personnel – active and retired alike – are both grieving and hurling right along with me.
     Between Obama's suicidal defense cuts, the purging of the most qualified high-ranking military officials, the targeting of Christian service members for harassment and systemic intimidation, and the godless LGBT-ifying of every facet of American life – it's little wonder that America is swirling clockwise down the toilet bowl of international esteem.
