Health Care and the Constitution... Remember that Document?

Posted by Bobby Eberle on September 30, 2009 >> Printer-Friendly Version

The debate continues on Capitol Hill as Barack Obama and the Democrats continue to force government control, higher taxes, and an unconstitutional health care system down our throats. Fortunately, for the American people, the plan runs so counter to the foundations of America and free enterprise, that its popularity continues to plummet.

But popularity aside, there is also the issue of whether Obama's plan is even legal. In today's times, the power of the federal government knows no bounds. Whether private companies are being taken over by the government or schools are using their platform to indoctrinate our children, the federal government has gone too far, and the American people are fighting back. It just shows how out of touch Obama and his socialist friends are that they never even saw it coming.

First... the latest on the state of the health care debate. A new Rasmussen Reports poll shows that Obama's health care plan is now at its lowest level of support since the plan started being tracked. "Just 41% of voters nationwide now favor the health care reform proposed by President Obama and congressional Democrats. That's down two points from a week ago."

According to Rasmussen, 56% of respondents are opposed to the plan, with seniors leading the way:
Senior citizens are less supportive of the plan than younger voters. In the latest survey, just 33% of seniors favor the plan while 59% are opposed. The intensity gap among seniors is significant. Only 16% of the over-65 crowd Strongly Favors the legislation while 46% are Strongly Opposed.
For the first time ever, a slight plurality of voters now express doubt that the legislation will become law this year. Forty-six percent (46%) say passage is likely while 47% say it is not. Those figures include 18% who say passage is Very Likely and 15% who say it is Not at All Likely. Sixty percent (60%) are less certain.
As far as the actual legislation, it appears that the so-called "public option" is out. Thank goodness! The "public option" was a euphemism for a government-run health insurance company that would "compete" against private insurers. The problem, of course, is that the "company" could charge as little as it wanted for premiums, thus driving private insurance out of business. It would never have to show a profit, because it is funded by the taxpayers... so bye bye private insurance. Fortunately, the uproar from the American people has been load and clear!

As noted in an AP news story on GOPUSA, "liberal Democrats twice failed on Tuesday to inject a government-run insurance option into sweeping health care legislation taking shape in the Senate, despite bipartisan agreement that private insurers must change their ways."
"My job is to put together a bill that gets to 60 votes" in the full Senate, Max Baucus (D-MT) said shortly before he joined a majority on the committee in defeating efforts to rewrite a key portion of his draft legislation. "No one shows me how to get to 60 votes with a public option," he said, using the term used to describe a new government role in health care. It would take 60 votes in the 100-member Senate to overcome any filibuster Republicans might attempt.
But don't get too happy with that one victory. This bill is still BAD news and needs to be defeated.
Sen. Charles Grassley, R-Iowa, cited private studies -- one by the conservative Heritage Foundation, the other by the Lewin Group, owned by United HealthCare -- saying millions would be pushed out of private insurance as the government held fees to doctors at artificially low levels. He said the result would be a violation of Obama's pledge that consumers would be able to keep their current insurance if they wanted once the legislation went into effect.
In addition, there is Obama's mandate that every single American be forced to purchase health insurance or face additional taxes and penalties. This is patently unconstitutional.

As noted in a story on FOXNews.com, "The requirement that everyone buy health insurance -- a central element to President Obama's health care plan -- is flatly unconstitutional, legal experts argue."
"At the heart of this plan is an unprecedented imposition on individual liberty," constitutional attorney David Rivkin told FOX News.
The constitution allows the federal government to regulate interstate commerce but Rivkin argues the insurance requirement is just an attempt to dictate personal behavior.
"What's unique about here is the mandate imposed on individuals merely because they live," he said. "Not connected with any economic activity, not because they grow something, make something, compose something. Merely because they live. And this is absolutely unprecedented."
And so there we have it: a socialist health care plan that seeks to drive private industry out of business, remove choices from the American people, and force Americans to buy a service as a condition for being an American. That pretty much sums up what Obama is selling. I'm not buying it, and neither should you.

Obama Financial Armageddon: video Interview

America’s Rich Dad, Robert Kiyosaki, Warns Baby Boomers of
Obama Financial Armageddon

Dear Concerned American,

Before the election of 2008, we warned investors that an Obama administration would do everything it could to bankrupt America and destroy the retirement funds of seniors.

Needless to say, if you've looked at your IRA or 401(k) statement lately, you don't have as much money today as you did a few years ago. The bad part is: Things are going to get worse.

Obama has stroked a $19 trillion check from the bank accounts of seniors to pay for his excessive spending and lavish government programs. He's used your retirement money to buy auto companies, banks, and insurance companies, leaving you, the American taxpayer, with nothing but change.

One of America's most trusted advisers, Robert Kiyosaki, author of the international best-seller, "Rich Dad, Poor Dad," has warned that America could fall deeper into the clutches of socialism and turn 80 million Baby Boomers poor.

The unraveling of America into a Third World nation is a conspiracy that can be accomplished only if the Baby Boomer generation allows it.

The Boomers have the power. In an exclusive interview with Newsmax, America's "Rich Dad" Robert Kiyosaki shares with us his No. 1 secret that could have Baby Boomers move from middle class to RICH.

CLICK HERE NOW to watch our exclusive interview with Robert Kiyasaki and find out the amazing investment secrets that will save you from the evil perils of socialism.

Kiyosaki wants to tell you:
  1. How Obama is bringing socialism to the United States.
  2. That America could become a Third World nation because of mega-inflation.
  3. Why 401(k)s are a waste of time.
  4. His No. 1 investment move you must make now!
America is in danger, and it is of the utmost importance that the Baby Boomer generation act now.
For that reason, I am revealing to you our private interview with America's "Rich Dad" — absolutely FREE!
To take hold of your retirement and rid yourself of the influences of Obama's ticking time bomb . . .

To your success,

Porker of the Month:   Seven Nutty Senators

Citizens Against Government Waste (CAGW) has named the seven senators who voted on September 14 to continue sending tax dollars for housing and community development programs to the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now (ACORN) its Porkers of the Month.  The seven senators are Roland Burris (D-Ill.), Robert Casey (D-Pa.), Richard Durbin (D-Ill.), Kirsten Gillibrand (D-N.Y.), Patrick Leahy (D-Vt.), Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.), and Sheldon Whitehouse (D-R.I.).  The 83-7 vote to cut off funding for the group in the fiscal year 2010 Department of Transportation, Housing and Urban Development Appropriations Act came on the heels of the release of explosive video footage of ACORN’s employees in Baltimore, Md., Washington, D.C., Brooklyn, N.Y., and San Bernardino, Calif. giving questionable legal and tax advice to filmmaker James O'Keefe and a female friend posing as a pimp and a prostitute.  ACORN’s employees gave guidance on how to shelter income illegally, mislead the Internal Revenue Service, and obfuscate the ages and immigration status of underage girls who were going to be used as prostitutes in a make-believe brothel.  “Cutting off funds to ACORN should have been the easiest vote of the year, yet these senators could not bring themselves to do it,” said CAGW President Tom Schatz.  For voting to keep the spigot open to this seedy group in the face of pervasive unethical, if not outright crooked, behavior and trying to enable ACORN to fund its dysfunctional deeds with the taxes of hard-working Americans, CAGW names these seven senators its September Porkers of the Month.  Read more about the Porker of the MonthMake a contribution today to support CAGW’s Campaign to Stop ACORN from Receiving $8.5 Billion in Federal Taxpayer Funds!

Obama Turns Deaf Ear to Opposition to Healthcare Reform Plans

CCAGW reacted with dismay and alarm to President Obama’s September 9 speech to a joint session of Congress on healthcare reform.  Despite widespread protests at town hall meetings across the country and vociferous taxpayer opposition to any further intrusion by the federal government into the nation’s healthcare system, the President used the address to burnish his commitment to a radical, overly-bureaucratic, and costly plan that would insert the federal government even further into the healthcare sector without driving down costs or delivering better health outcomes.  “The President and his Democratic allies in the House and Senate turned a deaf ear and a blind eye to the voices of millions of taxpayers, who sent clear signals to their elected officials over the August recess that they reject the wasteful, hyper-partisan healthcare reform plans that have been hastily cobbled together in Congress,” said CCAGW President Tom Schatz.  “It is unlikely that their justifiable anger and mistrust were mollified by another speech filled with scolding and platitudes.”  Read more about the President’s speech to Congress.

reflections - One Wish

From: aerc1/1776 Sent: Tuesday, September 29, 2009

A man was riding his Harley along a California beach when suddenly the sky clouded above his head... In a booming voice, the Lord said, "Because you have tried to be faithful to me in all ways, I will grant you one wish."

The biker pulled over and said, "Build a bridge to Hawaii so I can ride over anytime I want."

The Lord said, "Your request is materialistic.  Think of the enormous challenges for that kind of undertaking; the supports required to reach the bottom of the Pacific and the concrete and steel it would take!   I can do it, but it is hard for me to justify your desire for worldly things.  Take a little more time and think of something that could possibly help mankind."

The biker thought about it for a long time... Finally, he said, "Lord, I wish that I, and all men, could understand our wives; I want to know how she feels inside, what she's thinking, why she cries, what she means when she says nothing's wrong, and how I can make a woman truly happy."

The Lord replied, "You want two lanes or four on that bridge?"

Are you an enemy of the State? Do you 'oppose policies of the President' 'fear communist regimes' 'suspect foreign regimes' 'against abortion' 'oppose restricting firearms' 'against lax immigration' 'oppose one world government' etc.etc.etc.?

Note:  The SPLC (Southern Poverty Law Center) has checkered origins from it founder's questionable past to it's fervent anti-Traditional American Values agenda.
The mere suspicion that government entities would lend credence to the rantings of the SPLC speaks volumes giving rise to Americans' justified suspicions.
SPLC injecting itself into the 'trumped up' hysteria running rampant in WH corridors would be laughable were it not for o'who?'s & his lackeys' presence. - rfh

WorldNetDaily Exclusive
Cops warned again about right-wing 'terrorists'
SPLC: 'Militiamen, white supremacists, anti-Semites, nativists, tax protesters coalescing'

Posted: September 25, 2009 by Bob Unruh @ WorldNetDaily, Bob Unruh is a news editor for WorldNetDaily.com.

A private activist organization apparently is picking up where the federal government left off when the Department of Homeland Security issued its "Rightwing Extremism: Current Economic and Political Climate Fueling Resurgence in Radicalization and Recruitment" warning that returning veterans and people in a long list of other categories were potential terrorists

Only the new warning, delivered recently to police officers, sheriffs and other law enforcement personnel across the country, is lumping those dedicated to the constitutional principles on which the nation was founded together with crazed killers.

The fall 2009 "Intelligence Report" was issued recently by the Southern Poverty Law Center, where officials confirmed to WND it was published specifically for and delivered to law enforcement personnel across the nation. The SPLC did not respond to a WND request for other comment.

But the article groups members of various organizations such as Oathkeepers – whose mainly military and law enforcement members pledge to uphold their constitutional duties, including the duty to question and refuse what appear to be illegitimate orders – with a man "said to be interested in joining a militia" who is accused of killing two deputies in Florida.

"The situation has many authorities worried," the report to police officers says. "Militiamen, white supremacists, anti-Semites, nativists, tax protesters and a range of other activists of the radical right are cross-pollinating and may even be coalescing."

Garbage, says a supporter of the individual rights of gun ownership contained in the Second Amendment.

Mike Vanderboegh is with the Sipsey Street Irregulars, who describe themselves as among the 3 percent as in: "During the American revolution, the active forces in the field against the King's tyranny never amounted to more than 3 percent of the colonists."

The SPLC "are conflation experts," he told WND. "They have a pot and they throw everyone in it in an attempt to tar the rest of us with the racists and terrorists they throw in there."

He said the largest number of active members of various "militias" are constitutionalists, libertarians and conservatives who simply fear the government's swift advances toward federal ownership of banks and auto companies, intervention in personal rights such as health care and obstruction of constitutional provisions with gun regulations.

Only the minority are focused on conspiracy theories and the like, he said.

He said, for example, he was at the Oathkeepers April ceremony in Lexington, and the members with no significant exceptions were highly decorated and long-term serving military members and police. The group's principles include statements they will uphold their oath to support the Constitution.

"What I saw there was quintessentially America," he said.

Are you an enemy of the State?

The warning from the SPLC echoes the alarmism from the earlier federal report. WND has posted
the report online.

It warned of potential terrorism threats from those who:

  • Oppose abortion
  • Are returning veterans
  • Oppose same-sex marriage
  • Oppose restrictions on firearms
  • Oppose lax immigration laws
  • Oppose the policies of President Obama regarding immigration, citizenship, and the expansion of social programs
  • Oppose continuation of free trade agreements
  • Are suspect of foreign regimes
  • Fear Communist regimes
  • Oppose a "one world" government
  • Bemoan the decline of U.S. stature in the world
  • Are upset with loss of U.S. manufacturing jobs to China and India, and more
Department of Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano later apologized to veterans for including them in the list but not to other groups of people, not even when WND also reported later that the "extremism" report was confirmed to have been based on Internet "chatter."

Under the headline "Going Feral," the SPLC warning to police quotes personalities such as Fox News host Glenn Beck, U.S. Rep. Michele Bachmann and actor Chuck Norris.

"It's like Thomas Jefferson said, a revolution every now and then is a good thing. We are at the point ... of revolution. And by that, what I mean [is] an orderly revolution, where the people of this country wake up and get up and make a decision that this is not going to happen on their watch," the warning quoted Bachmann, R-Minn., saying.

Norris, in a WND column in March, wrote, "How much more will Americans take? When will enough be enough? And, when that time comes, will our leaders finally listen or will history need to record a second American Revolution?"

Beck's "threat" was, "If this country starts to spiral out of control and, you know, and Mexico melts down or whatever, if it really starts to spiral out of control … Americans … just won't stand for it. There will be parts of the country that will rise up."

In a later column, Norris addressed the issue in a discussion of the 9/12 rally in Washington, where hundreds of thousands of people assembled to protest uncontrolled spending by government and its interference in individual lives.

"On Sept. 12, 2002, we sought to protect our nation against terrorists from without.  Beginning on Sept. 12, 2009, we are seeking to protect our nation against enemies of our republic from within.  Many of us are protesting the present political direction of Washington. Outrageous borrowing, excessive bailouts, massive spending, speedball stimulus plans … swings toward socialism are just a few of things that were protested that day.  Of course, economics is far from America's only problem, as large as it appears to loom," Norris wrote.

"I want to emphasize: this revolutionary movement is not solely an independent, Republican or Democrat fight.  It represents patriots fed up against modernists who seek to overturn almost every principle and tenet laid down by our country's founders at the inception of our republic.  From the East Coast to the 'Left Coast,' America seems to be moving further and further from its founders' vision and government," he said.

A column by gun rights author David Codrea said, "SPLC's Larry Keller asserts they are 'particularly worrisome.'  A fair question might be 'why' or 'to whom?'  It's not like they're associated with anything other than patriotism, in spite of his attempts to insinuate racist ties."

Codrea said a militia was important enough for the Founding Fathers to declare them "necessary to the security of a free state."

The terror theme also was raised recently by Democrats.  WND reported when an "Organizing for America" campaign document outlined a plan to have activists telephone their state's senators Sept. 11 to demand a "public option," which critics say would lead to a government health-care monopoly.

Bobby Eberle, posting on a Republican Party site called The Loft, said Obama "and his team have no limits on what they will do or say in order to inject socialist views into the minds of Americans."

"They also have absolutely no respect or appreciation for the American way and the sacrifices Americans have made in order to stay free and to promote the American way of life across the globe.  Just take the latest effort being pitched at BarackObama.com.  Rather than remembering the Americans who lost their lives during the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001, Obama's political team wants you to make phone calls on 9/11 to fight back against 'Right-Wing Domestic Terrorists,'" Eberle wrote.

The OFA plan said, "All 50 states are coordinating in this – as we fight back against our own Right-Wing Domestic Terrorists who are subverting the American Democratic Process, whipped to a frenzy by their Fox Propaganda Network ceaselessly reseizing power for their treacherous leaders."

Shortly after the "extremism" report was released, WND reported, the Department of Defense was describing protesters as "low-level terrorists."

WND later reported when the DoD eventually withdrew a training manual question that linked protesters across the U.S. to terrorism.

The Thomas More Law Center has filed a lawsuit against Napolitano and the DHS on behalf of nationally syndicated conservative radio talk show host Michael Savage, Gregg Cunningham of the pro-life organization Center for Bio-Ethical Reform Inc. and Iraqi War Marine veteran Kevin Murray.

The lawsuit alleges the federal agency violated the First and Fifth Amendment constitutional rights of the three plaintiffs by targeting them for disfavored treatment and chilling their free speech, expressive association and equal protection rights.  The lawsuit further claims DHS encouraged law enforcement officers throughout the nation to target and report citizens to federal officials as suspicious rightwing extremists and potential terrorists because of their political beliefs.

A Challenge to American Consumers

From: drude Sent: Monday, September 28, 2009

A teacher in school once told the students that while one grasshopper on the  railroad tracks wouldn't slow a train very much, a billion of them  would.   With that thought in mind, read the following,  obviously written by a good American  .
Good idea . . .    one light bulb at a time . . .  .

Check this out. I  can verify this because I was in Lowe's the other day for some  reason and just for the heck of it I was looking at the hose  attachments  They were all made  in  China. The next day I  was in Ace Hardwareand just for the heck of it I checked the hose attachments there. They were made in  USA. Start looking  .

In our current  economic situation, every little thing we buy or do affects  someone else - even their job. So, after reading this email, I  think this lady is on the right track. Let's get behind  her!

My grandson likes  Hershey's candy. I noticed, though, that it is marked made in  Mexico now. I do not buy  it any more. My favorite toothpaste Colgate is made in Mexico now.   I have switched to Crest .. You have to read the  labels on everything .

This past weekend I was at Kroger. I needed 60W light bulbs and Bounce dryer sheets . I was in the light bulb aisle, and right  next to the GE brand I normally buy was an off brand labeled,  "Everyday Value. " I picked up  both types of bulbs and compared the stats - they were the same  except for the price. The GE bulbs were more money than the  Everyday Value brand but the thing that surprised me the most was the fact that GE was made in MEXICO and the Everyday Value brand was made in  - get ready for this - the USA in a company  in Cleveland, Ohio.

So throw out the myth that you can not find products you use every day that are made right here  .

So on to another  aisle - Bounce Dryer Sheets . . . yep, you guessed it, Bounce cost  more money and is made in Canada. The Everyday Value brand was less money and MADE IN THE USA! I did laundry yesterday and the dryer sheets performed just like the Bounce Free I have been using  for years and at almost half the  price!

My challenge to you is to start reading the labels when you shop for everyday things and see what you can find that is made in the USA - the job you save may be your own or your neighbors!

If you accept the  challenge, pass this on to others in your address book so we can all start buying American, one light bulb at a time! Stop buying from overseas companies!

(We should have  awakened a decade ago . . . . . . )

Let's get with the  program . . . . help our fellow Americans keep their jobs and  create more jobs here in the  U.S.A.

Letter to AARP

From: lc  Sent: Monday, September 28, 2009

NARFE is a much better organization.....

This letter to the AARP says it all.  It is a must read regardless of your age.  Some people just make sense in what they say.  This lady certainly does.

This was sent to Mr. Rand who is the Executive Director of AARP

Dear Mr. Rand,

Recently you sent us a letter encouraging us to renew our lapsed membership in AARP by the requested date. I know it is not what you were looking for, but this is the most honest response I can give you.

Our gap in coverage is merely a microscopic symptom of the real problem, a deepening lack of faith.

While we have proudly maintained our membership for several years and have long admired the AARP goals and principles, regrettably, we can no longer endorse it's abdication of our values.

Your letter specifically stated that we can count on AARP to speak up for our rights, yet the voice we hear is not ours. Your offer of being kept up to date on important issues through DIVIDED WE FAIL presents neither an impartial view nor the one we have come to embrace. We do believe that when two parties agree all the time on everything presented to them, one is probably not necessary. But, when the opinions and long term goals are diametrically opposed, the divorce is imminent. This is the philosophy which spawned our 200 years of government.

Once upon a time, we looked forward to being part of the senior demographic. We also looked to AARP to provide certain benefits and give our voice a power we could not possibly hope to achieve on our own. AARP gave us a sense of belonging which we no longer enjoy. The Socialist politics practiced by the Obama administration and empowered by AARP serves only to raise the blood pressure my medical insurance strives to contain. Clearly a conflict of interest there!

We do not understand the AARP posture, feel greatly betrayed by the guiding forces whom we expected to map out our senior years and leave your ranks with a great sense of regret. We mitigate that disappointment with the relief of knowing that we are not contributing to the problem anymore by renewing our membership. There are numerous other organizations which offer discounts without threatening our way of life or offending our sensibilities.

This Presidential Administration scares the living daylights out of us. Not just for ourselves, but for our proud and bloodstained heritage, but even more importantly for our children and grandchildren. Washington has rendered Soylent Green a prophetic cautionary tale rather than a nonfiction scare tactic. I have never in my life endorsed any militant or radical groups, yet now I find myself listening to them. I don't have to agree with them to appreciate the fear which birthed their existence. Their borderline insanity presents little more than a balance to the voice of the Socialist mindset in power. Perhaps I became American by a great stroke of luck in some cosmic uterine lottery, but in my adulthood I CHOOSE to embrace it and nurture the freedoms it represents as well as the responsibilities it requires.

Your website generously offers us the opportunity to receive all communication in Spanish. ARE YOU KIDDING??? Someone has broken into our 'house', invaded our home without our invitation or consent. The President has insisted we keep the perpetrator in comfort and learn the perp language so we can communicate our reluctant welcome to them.

I DON'T choose to welcome them.
I DON'T choose to support them.
I DON'T choose to educate them.
I DON'T choose to medicate them, pay for their food or clothing.

American home invaders get arrested.

Please explain to me why foreign lawbreakers can enjoy privileges on American soil that Americans do not get?

Why do some immigrants have to play the game to be welcomed and others only have to break & enter to be welcomed?

We travel for a living. Walt hauls horses all over this great country, averaging over 10,000 miles a month when he is out there. He meets more people than a politician on caffeine overdose. Of all the many good folks he enjoyed on this last 10,000 miles, this trip yielded only ONE supporter of the current administration.  One of us is out of touch with mainstream America. Since our poll is conducted without funding, I have more faith in it than one which is power driven. We have decided to forward this to everyone on our mailing list, and will encourage them to do the same. With several hundred in my address book, I have every faith that the eventual exponential factor will make a credible statement to you..

I am disappointed as hell.
I am scared as hell.
I am MAD as hell, and I'm NOT gonna take it anymore!

Smadi was taken into custody by FBI agents shortly after throwing the switch on what he believed was a vehicle-borne improvised explosive device (VBIED) in an SUV he had parked in the basement of a 60-story Dallas office tower, in an attempt to kill thousands of people timed to celebrate the end of Ramadan. Like several other terrorists before him, Smadi apparently was a student visa overstay.

While the Republicans serving on the comparable body in the House of Representatives, according to the nose counts of Numbers USA, are solidly and consistently in the restrictionist camp, there are some major disputes among the Senate subcommittee Republicans. Two of these Senators get solid A+ ratings from Numbers USA, while the other two -– both from border states -- have recent scores of B+ and C-.

Excerpt: The federal government has spent huge amounts to stimulate the American economy. The theory is that massive government spending programs will put people back to work and increase consumer spending which is a major driver of economic activity in the United States.

5. Virginia Governor's Race and Immigration Enforcement

Excerpt: Candidates in the race for governor of Virginia differ on the issue of state and local enforcement relating to illegal and criminal aliens. Former state Attorney General Bob McDonnell supports statewide involvement in the 287(g) program. Democratic State Sen. Creigh Deeds is unenthusiastic and vague. Republican McDonnell has endorsed Virginia State Police usage of this proven, useful tool for ferreting out foreign lawbreakers living among us, many of whom threaten public safety.

Excerpt: The head of the Census Bureau said this week that trying to identify the illegal aliens in the upcoming census would not be practical. And he's right — it's not just that the forms have already been printed, but who's going to honestly answer that they're illegal?

7.  Another Warning on Amnesty
By Mark Krikorian
CIS Blog, September 25, 2009
http://www.cis.org/krikorian/warning

Excerpt: There was an important vote on a minor procedural matter Wednesday on the floor of the House. Arizona's Rep. Raul Grijalva, a leftist open-borders guy (and I don't mean liberal — MEChA member, 100% rating from the ACLU, etc.) sponsored a bill to create new national-park area along the border. Republicans in committee smelled a rat and attempted to insert an amendment that stipulated that the Border Patrol would be permitted to operate in the new area, but were rebuffed; the amendment's needed because the Department of Interior has reportedly interfered with efforts to patrol border lands under its jurisdiction. Well, Republicans decided to try to pull a procedural motion in the full House to force the issue, assuming they'd lose but at least be able to make a political point.

8.  Why Is the U.S. National Soccer Team So 'American?'
By David Seminara
CIS Blog, September 23, 2009
http://www.cis.org/seminara/soccer

Excerpt: If soccer is the world's sport, and America is the world's leading beacon for immigrants around the globe, why aren't immigrants making a bigger impact playing soccer for the Stars and Stripes? Consider the paucity of foreign born players on the U.S. Men's National Soccer Team. The team draws from a player pool of fifty eight men, only three (5%) of whom were born outside the U.S. The women's national team has no foreign born players in its player pool.

Former Israeli Counter Terrorist Agent Offers Tips In Case of a Terrorist Attack

source: http://www.truthorfiction.com/rumors/j/juval-aviv.htm

This is an eye opening bit of info.....scary though...

Juval Aviv was the Israeli Agent upon whom the movie ' Munich ' was based. He was Golda Meir's bodyguard -- she appointed him to track down and bring to justice the Palestinian terrorists who took the Israeli athletes hostage and killed them during the Munich Olympic Games.

In a lecture in New York City a few weeks ago, he shared information that EVERY American needs to know -- but that our government has not yet shared with us.

He predicted the London subway bombing on the Bill O'Reilly show on Fox News stating publicly that it would happen within a week. At the time, O'Reilly laughed and mocked him saying that in a week he wanted him back on the show. But, unfortunately, within a week the terrorist attack had occurred.

Juval Aviv gave intelligence (via what he had gathered in Israel and the Middle East ) to the Bush Administration about 9/11 a month before it occurred. His report specifically said they would use planes as bombs and target high profile buildings and monuments. Congress has since hired him as a security consultant.

Now for his future predictions. He predicts the next terrorist attack on the U.S. will occur within the next few months.

Forget hijacking airplanes, because he says terrorists will NEVER try and hijack a plane again as they know the people onboard will never go down quietly again. Aviv believes our airport security is a joke -- that we have been reactionary rather than proactive in developing strategies that are truly effective.

For example:
1) Our airport technology is outdated. We look for metal, and the new explosives are made of plastic.
2) He talked about how some idiot tried to light his shoe on fire. Because of that, now everyone has to take off their shoes. A group of idiots tried to bring aboard liquid explosives. Now we can't bring liquids on board. He says he's waiting for some suicidal maniac to pour liquid explosive on his underwear; at which point, security will have us all traveling naked! Every strategy we have is 'reactionary.'
3) We only focus on security when people are heading to the gates.

Aviv says that if a terrorist attack targets airports in the future, they will target busy times on the front end of the airport when/where people are checking in. It would be easy for someone to take two suitcases of explosives, walk up to a busy check-in line, ask a person next to them to watch their bags for a minute while they run to the restroom or get a drink, and then detonate the bags BEFORE security even gets involved. In Israel , security checks bags BEFORE people can even ENTER the airport.

Aviv says the next terrorist attack here in America is imminent and will involve suicide bombers and non-suicide bombers in places where large groups of people congregate. (I. E., Disneyland, Las Vegas casinos, big cities (New York, San Francisco, Chicago, etc.) and that it will also include shopping malls, subways in rush hour, train stations, etc., as well as rural America this time (Wyoming, Montana, etc.)

The attack will be characterized by simultaneous detonations around the country (terrorists like big impact), involving at least 5-8 cities, including rural areas.

Aviv says terrorists won't need to use suicide bombers in many of the larger cities, because at places like the MGM Grand in Las Vegas , they can simply valet park a car loaded with explosives and walk away.

Aviv says all of the above is well known in intelligence circles, but that our U. S. Government does not want to 'alarm American citizens' with the facts.

The world is quickly going to become 'a different place', and issues like 'global warming' and political correctness will become totally irrelevant.

On an encouraging note, he says that Americans don't have to be concerned about being nuked. Aviv says the terrorists who want to destroy America will not use sophisticated weapons. They like to use suicide as a front-line approach. It's cheap, it's easy, it's effective; and they have an infinite abundance of young militants more than willing to 'meet their destiny'.

He also says the next level of terrorists, over which America should be most concerned, will not be coming from abroad. But will be, instead, 'homegrown' -- having attended and been educated in our own schools and universities right here in the U. S. He says to look for 'students' who frequently travel back and forth to the Middle East . These young terrorists will be most dangerous because they will know our language and will fully understand the habits of Americans; but that we Americans won't know/understand a thing about them.

Aviv says that, as a people, Americans are unaware and uneducated about the terroristic threats we will, inevitably, face. America still has only have a handful of Arabic and Farsi speaking people in our intelligence networks, and Aviv says it is critical that we change that fact SOON.

So, what can America do to protect itself?

From an intelligence perspective, Aviv says the U.S. needs to stop relying on satellites and technology for intelligence. We need to, instead, follow Israel 's, Ireland 's and England 's hands-on examples of human intelligence, both from an infiltration perspective as well as to trust 'aware' citizens to help. We need to engage and educate ourselves as citizens; however, our U. S. government continues to treat us, its citizens, 'like babies'. Our government thinks we 'can't handle the truth' and are concerned that we'll panic if we understand the realities of terrorism. Aviv says this is a deadly mistake.

Aviv recently created/executed a security test for our Congress, by placing an empty briefcase in five well-traveled spots in five major cities. The results? Not one person called 911 or sought a policeman to check it out. In fact, in Chicago , someone tried to steal the briefcase!

Aviv also was concerned about the high number of children here in America who were in preschool and kindergarten after 9/11, who were 'lost' without parents being able to pick them up, and about ours schools that had no plan in place to best care for the students until parents could get there. (In New York City , this was days, in some cases!)

Does your family know what to do if you can't contact one another by phone? Where would you gather in an emergency? He says we should all have a plan that is easy enough for even our youngest children to remember and follow.

How will you communicate with your loved ones in the event you cannot speak?  You need to have a plan.

Ted Kennedy: 'A coward beside heroes'

Such desecration of hallowed ground.  A weed beside the rose.  Assured, not he with them would die, Yet, worthy, thought he, with them to lie, A coward beside heroes. ~ Anonymous

At the time of this writing, the cortege of limousines is traveling from the Kennedy compound in Hyannisport to the JFK library in Boston behind the hearse bearing the remains of Sen. Ted Kennedy who died of brain cancer Aug. 25. Nevertheless, during this solemn occasion I do not join the legions of sycophantic TV hosts of the government-controlled media and their guests to laud this man, for I find absolutely nothing praiseworthy in him.

Ted Kennedy began his political career 47 years ago. I was just 14 months old. I understand that Kennedy actually began his career on the same day that liberal doyen Eleanor Roosevelt died. How fitting is it that the two patron saints of liberalism had their careers begin and end on that same fateful day of Nov. 7, 1962. JFK had a similar coincidence occur at his death on Nov. 22, 1963.

Two thousand years ago, at the trial of Jesus, Roman Procurator Pontius Pilate asked the Socratic question: "What is truth?" I echo Pilate's query in the context of Kennedy: Was Sen. Ted Kennedy a man of truth?
For 47 years, Sen. Kennedy made his bones on one singular premise ? Take money from people who earned it and give it to those who didn't earn it. That has been the modus operandi not only of Kennedy, but the entire Liberal-Progressive Axis of the Democratic/Republican Party going back over 100 years. For example, the first progressive national leader was President Theodore Roosevelt (1901-09) who in a speech titled "The New Nationalism," used the curious phrase "human welfare" and further said, "Personal property is subject to the general right of the community to regulate its use to whatever degree the public welfare may require it."
Later President Woodrow Wilson (1913-21), another unabashed progressive, said that "a true leader" uses the masses like "tools" and that "men are as clay in the hands of the consummate leader."

These overtly fascist conceptions of power demonstrated 100 years ago were the seeds of the modern-day liberalism of FDR, LBJ, Ted Kennedy, Bill and Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama. Furthermore, these Machiavellian ideas are a gross perversion of the U.S. Constitution and the original intent of the Founding Fathers to any person who has learned to think logically and understand history and law from an intellectual as opposed to a socialist point of view.

In the comments section of a Washington Times article, "Senate's liberal lion falls to cancer at 77," by Stephen Dinan, there were these interesting lines that summed up the true legacy of Ted Kennedy and the behind-the-scenes machinations of the old patriarch, Joseph Kennedy ("Mr. Fix"):

A memorial to Edward "Ted" M. Kennedy, who enlisted for a two-year term in the army in 1950. To Ted Kennedy, whose father used personal influence to get Ted an assignment as a guard to Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers, Europe (SHAPE) in Paris; which kept him out of the Korean War, in which thousands of brave American young men were dying.

Yet this fraudulent soldier of the Korean War was not alone among the Kennedy clan for dubious service in the war. There was the PT-109 incident where the boat JFK captained during World War II was sliced in half by a Japanese destroyer, killing two of his crew members on Aug. 2, 1943. Even JFK privately called that event "a botched military operation." Not to be outdone by his younger brother, Joe Jr. volunteered for a dangerous mission to bomb German V-Rocket factories in France (Operation Aphrodite), which tragically backfired when his plane mysteriously exploded in mid-air on Aug. 12, 1944 - some say due to stray jamming or electrical frequencies Joe Jr. was warned of the day before his fateful flight.

No problem. Mr. Fix, Joe Kennedy, used his military connections to make sure that his son, JFK received the Marine Navy Corps Medal for valor. It's all part of the Kennedy mythology - the family fortune built in the old days on bootlegging, selling short in the stock market during the Great Depression, Joe Kennedy's support of Hitler, JFK and RFK wiretapping MLK, the murder of Marilyn Monroe and Mary Jo Kopechne, welfare, abortion, amnesty, socialist health care, Camelot and all the rest of the Kennedy propaganda so shamefully displayed since Ted's death.

In another Washington Times article, a wonderfully insightful comment about the death of Ted Kennedy was made by one of the readers, with larger implications to the impotent and irrelevant Republican Party:   All I see here is the ease with which Sen. Kennedy was able to seduce the Republicans into compromising their principles so as to enact into law many of his - one reason that the Republicans lost their congressional majority in 2006 and lost yet again in 2008. Makes me wonder if George Wallace was right when he remarked that, "There's not a dime's bit of difference between the two political parties."

Indeed, George Wallace was right, which is why the GOP will join the Democrats to give Ted Kennedy a burial fit for a war hero like Gen. George Patton and a requiem mass fit for a Christian saint like Mother Teresa.

What a galling spectacle indeed!

The final outrage is that these legions of bona fide brave American soldiers who fought so valiantly to keep the totalitarian menace of Nazism from Europe and Communism from Korea and Vietnam, their bones will never rest in the sacred ground at Arlington Cemetery. Yet Sen. Ted Kennedy, the fraudulent, cowardly Korean War vet who for 47 years as the senator from Massachusetts made an art form out of stealing money from those who earned it and giving it to his partners in crime who didn't earn it just to buy votes and amass power, will this day have his bloated carcass rest among true men of valor.

On this solemn occasion, I praise not Sen. Kennedy, nor the Kennedy legacy, but I praise the real war heroes at Arlington and at cemeteries throughout America and Europe. May they all have eternal rest in heaven.
To Sen. Ted Kennedy, this is your legacy:

Such desecration of hallowed ground.

A weed beside the rose.
Assured, not he with them would die,
Yet, worthy, thought he, with them to lie,
A coward beside heroes.
