In Lodi, California (Lodi Unified School District (LUSD)) -- Is radical Islam is being taught in the public elementary school "Houston Elementary?"   It is teaching (according to William Huyet, Superintendent) from " ’History Alive!: The Medieval World and Beyond’ ", a text book that includes teaching about Sharia Law and Jihadism !!!   (The former leader of the Lodi mosque was charged with aiding terrorism.)

The local (Lodi) Muslim leader fails to explain why Christianity is banned throughout most Muslim occupied countries, nor why Islam considers women as chattel nor why, if women are raped they are subject to lashing, whipping, imprisonment, or death by stoning, hanging or beheading!!!   Nor, why Islam calls for the destruction of Israel & death to non-(Muslim) believers (read Christians & Jews.)   Current jihadism is expressed by chants of "Death to America" throught the Muslim world as exemplied by the current leader of Iran who openly calls for the destruction of Israel and "Death to the Great Satan! America!"

Indoctrination of elementary school students through the use of the text book is being challenged by many parents of the LUSD students before the local school board.   They are seeking to discover the background involving California's State Board of Education authorizing it as a California approved text and more specifically why it has been introduced into the Lodi school system to the exclusion of other texts considered to present more of a balance between religious references and the development of Western Civilization (the foundation and historical origins of America.)   And, the teaching of Islamic values to the exclusion of Christianity is viewed negatively by many parents.

" ’History Alive!:  The Medieval World and Beyond’ " also drew protests in an Arizona school district.   It was withdrawn by the publisher before the end of a trial period there.

The Council of Isamic Education, part of the American Muslim Council (AMC), develops and maintains the Islamic content of editions of "History Alive" text.   And, a former leader of the AMC supported former President Clinton by donations and organizational meetings as well as contributing to Senator Hillary Clinton's senate campaign.   (This AMC leader is also now in jail for funneling money to terrorists organizations.)

Islamic, Muslim propaganda on the Crusades, fasting, the 4 pillars, ramadan and Jihad are replacing Christianity as being acceptable in some California schools ...while Christianity is being snuffed out.

(Note that there is not single chapter addressing Christianity or Judeism but the textbook has 10 chapters (~ 1/3) that address Islam and its influences)

In a Social Studies Skill Builder, students read and learn about the contributions of Muslims to world civilization in such areas as science, geography, mathematics, philosophy, medicine, art, and literature.
Lesson 11 - From the Crusades to the Rise of New Muslim Empires 
In a Problem Solving Groupwork activity, students learn about the causes and effects of the crusades through role playing and class discussions.
