I received the following editorial from a good friend of mine who is a retired federal officer who resides in California. It was written by Clark Baker, a talk show host, who was a career LAPD Officer and a former Marine. The article is cut and pasted below, but my friend also gave me the following link which will take you to the web page where the commentary was published. Not only will the link authenticate the editorial, the web page also contains a lot of information about the author. http://exlibhollywood.blogspot.com/2009/07/when-law-enforcement-is-not-about-race.html Personally, as a career law enforcement officer with 30 years of experience, I was appalled by the criticism President Obama dished out. It now appears that there is a very good possibility that Obama's comments and criticism was staged, in that the question was planted, and his response was scripted. Obama didn't just attack the police officer who made the arrest, he attacked all law enforcement in the United States with allegations of widespread racial profiling. Rather than promoting unity among Americans, he is intentionally and systematically inflaming racial tension in this country. His actions in this matter are shameful.
