Government Guns Drawn On Peaceful Health Care Protesters

Did our government actually pull guns on peaceful Americans protesting ObamaCare?
Read the following message from our friends at GrassTopsUSA and make the call.

President Obama can't deny it anymore. He wants to rip your insurance from you, force you into an inferior government plan and he wants to tax you for the privilege

You may have seen the video from NakedEmporerNews.com that shows Obama telling a crowd at the SEIU Health Care forum:

"I don't think we're going to be able to eliminate employer coverage immediately. There's going to be potentially some transition process... I can envision a decade out or 15 years out or 20 years out...."

When that video hit the Internet, liberals cried foul. They screamed that Obama was being taken out of context and actually, they were right.

Those of us who have read just a part of the ObamaCare plan realize that it's far worse... they don't want to do it in 15 years or 20 years... they actually want to do it in five years.

And what about this comment from Congressman Barney Frank:

"If we get a good public option, it could lead to single payer and that's the best way to reach single payer."

In that same video, Congresswoman Jan Schakowsky recounted to a cheering crowd of leftists an argument that she had with a gentleman from an insurance company who told her that "a public option will put the private insurance industry out of business and lead to single payer."

Schakowsky emphatically screamed in glee to the cheering crowd, "He was right. The man was right."

The sad truth. All this talk of "health care reform" has nothing to do with reforming health care... it never had anything to do with reforming health care.

It was nothing more than a means to advance a socialist agenda. Higher taxes... limited or no choice... and inferior health care... that was just sauce for the goose.

Right now, leftists are re-grouping... hoping they can sneak so-called health care legislation by you (or ram it down your throat) when Congress comes back into session.

We're not going to let them get away with it. We're going to continue to speak up and let them know that patriotic Americans want no part of ObamaCare.

"The Best Laid Schemes O' Mice An' Men Gang Aft Agley."

When it comes to the town hall meetings that Members of Congress are holding these days, Robert Burns words come immediately to mind.

Liberals, in an attempt to sell ObamaCare to the people, scheduled town hall meetings, and leftist organizations, in some cases, obliged them by bringing their "rent-a-mob" protestors to these meetings to support ObamaCare.

The obvious intention was to send a deceptive message to the people that Americans actually support ObamaCare.

But hold your horses, average Americans are showing up at these meetings too, in numbers exceeding those of the liberal "rent-a-mobs."

And what's the ultimate irony when it comes to these spontaneous uprisings? Liberals in the media are actually trying to claim that these spontaneous uprisings were planned and engineered. Patriotic Americans are being falsely accused of doing exactly what they tried to do with their "angry mobs."

Of course, people are rising up because they know ObamaCare will bankrupt our economy, destroy our nation's medical leadership, and undermine our liberties so thoroughly that America will become unrecognizable.

And people are starting to find out at these meetings that the Obama-adoration society and the media has nothing but contempt for the American majority passionately opposing the destruction of our health system.

Consider a recent chilling story appearing in TheGatewayPundit.com which describes what unfolded at one of Obama's scripted town meetings in a conservative area near Bristol, Virginia:

"The attendees at the actual event were handpicked, [but] there were many protesters along the motorcade route. The anti-ObamaCare protesters greatly outnumbered the pro voices. There were several vehicles following the limo that contained the secret service. The vehicles had all the windows rolled down, and back hatches open on the SUVs with the men holding their, I assume assault rifles, machine guns, drawn on everyone lining the streets. Needless to say, it took my breath away at the sight of them, and made my friends and I dizzy with fear. . . . I turned on a local talk radio program as we were leaving and all the calls were about witnessing the guns being pointed at them."

Is it actually possible that Obama and other Beltway Leftists are willing to go to any length to scare – and silence – critics of their health machinations.

It's urgently necessary to remind our elected representatives that thuggish behavior and town hall meeting charades are unacceptable in the land of the free and the home of the brave.

Expressing Contempt For The American People...

As the disturbing behavior of the ObamaCare security caravan in Virginia suggests, some of our elected official fear us average patriotic Americans when we rightfully expect them to represent us.

Several members of Congress are also behaving with disregard – even contempt – for constituents objecting to the ObamaCare horror.

In California, seven retirees who were deeply concerned about health care went to Senator Diane Feinstein's West Los Angeles office wanting to speak with her. Instead of welcoming the seniors, she called the police to have the retirees arrested.

In New York State, Democrat Representative Tim Bishop won't be holding any get-togethers with constituents on health reform. Bishop describes such meetings as "pointless," adding that discussing health matters is "unsettling to a lot of people."

AmericanThinker.com has this message for Bishop:

"No, Congressman Bishop. What is 'unsettling' is a rush to pass a bill, largely unread, that ignores all other possible solutions other than the one with the biggest possible government footprint and a potentially catastrophic impact on future deficits."

In Minnesota, Congressman Colin Peterson, a Democrat representing what's basically a conservative Republican district, makes the following bizarre observation:

"Twenty-five percent of my people believe the Pentagon and Rumsfeld were responsible for taking the twin towers down. That's why I don't do town meetings."

And then, the doltish Peterson totally jumped the shark by saying about the House legislation: "The members don't even understand what's in it."

Congressman John Conyers would agree with Peterson. Conyers recently said, "What good is reading the bill if it's a thousand-pages long?"

So, let's get all this straight: If we want to meet with our elected representatives and object to their health reforms, we have a good chance of being dismissed as dolts, kooks, and conspiracy theorists?

Some of these Members of Congress are suffering from delusions of grandeur. We need to re-introduce them to reality – the reality that we are their bosses, not their serfs.

Health Care Reform: A Left-Wing Solution to a Non-Problem...

An article in the Roll Call basically described heath reform as nothing more than a solution in search of a problem.

"Today, more than 253 million Americans [about 84%] have health insurance, and the majority like their coverage and their doctors."

Thus, if almost everyone is satisfied with his or her health situation, how on earth do we translate that into a national crisis?

And why are Obama and his merry band in Congress trying to turn the American system completely on its head... transforming every single insurance plan – and every doctor-patient relationship – in the country?

The Big Lie being pitched is that we must move toward a government takeover because otherwise health costs will drown us in debt.

We've all heard the various estimates that heath reform will cost perhaps 900 million... or perhaps a trillion... or perhaps 1.6 trillion – and that's a "trillion" with a T.

But here's the dirty little secret: if health reform ended up costing... say 5 billion, would it really surprise people who know Washington?

Right now, Medicare alone is costing 400 billion a year, hundreds of billions more than past estimates. And Medicare has obligations of 30 trillion.

But what about all those health care cost savings Obama and others promise? As The Congressional Budget Office (CBO) recently predicted, before being strong-armed by the White House, there will no savings... zero... nada... zilch.

The battle against The ObamaCare Horror Show is one we must fight – and win. If we don't fight it, then, as Ronald Reagan so eloquently said, "We will spend our sunset years telling our children and our children's children what it once was like in America when man was free."

Caution: ObamaCare Is Hazardous To Your Health.

ObamaCare will do many things. Unfortunately, as Dick Morris puts it, almost all of them are awful:

"How, voters will ask, can we cover 50 million more people without any new doctors or nurses? The answer is to ration health care, with the government deciding who'll get hip and knee replacements, heart-bypass surgery and other medical treatments."

"And what does rationing mean? It means that the elderly will be denied care that they can now get whenever they want."

Essentially, ObamaCare will say to the elderly: Hey, it's been nice knowing you.

House Republican Leader John Boehner and Republican Policy Committee Chairman Thaddeus McCotter confirm some of our seniors' worst fears:

"Section 1233 of the House-drafted legislation encourages health care providers to provide their Medicare patients with counseling on 'the use of artificially administered nutrition and hydration' and other end of life treatments."

Patient advocate Betsy McCaughey, formerly the Republican Lieutenant Governor of New York, believes the Obama/Pelosi/Reid recommended counseling, would be focused on "telling seniors how to end their lives sooner."

McCaughey also notes that we could, if we wished, buy decent insurance for almost all the uninsured for between $28 billion and $49 billion per year. That's roughly one-quarter to one-half the lowest estimated cost of the ObamaCare power grab.

Let's return to the Roll Call article, which defines our country's needs perfectly:

"What policymakers need to do is fix what's broken, not create a whole new system that will end up adversely affecting the hundreds of millions of Americans who are happy with our current system. While most agree that we need to find ways to expand access to health care for the uninsured, there are ways to accomplish that without expanding government's role in the lives of patients or their doctors."

It's critical for us to deliver a powerful message to Congress that slicing, dicing, and pulverizing our health system is bad news for American seniors, juniors, and everyone in between.

Can We Win This Battle Against ObamaCare?

To borrow a phrase from "the anointed one," "yes we can."

In fact, we are winning, and one way we can ensure victory is by putting pressure on key legislators.

In a government "of, by, and for" the people, we are the people. And elected officials, rather than our masters, are our servants. If they don't listen to us – and respect our views – they are useless.

The Obama Administration and congressional leftists think they can ram ObamaCare down our throats or sneak it past us in the dark of night.

They believe they can win because they misunderstand our history and values – and they wildly misread the courage, independence, and character of our people.

They think we can be cowed or fooled or silenced. But, as they are finding out, we are a people whose feistiness is exceeded only by our love for freedom.

The good news is that even Democrats are beginning to perceive that ObamaCare is smelling like a dead mackerel. Some far-left extremists are panicking.... and Obama may be one of them.

If liberals tell us to sit down and shut up, we will stand up... and speak out. Politicians live by polls and political cynicism.

In contrast, we the people – most of us at least – live as best we can by principles.

This isn't a government of, by, and for itself. Rather, it's a government "of, by, and for the people."

As Mike Huckabee reminds us, "We have a House of Representatives... not a House of Lords."

We don't request that our elected officials heed our wishes. We demand it... demand that they serve us... rather than their beloved special interests.

If Obama and the other Marxists in the Beltway want to know exactly who we are, they should ask American patriot Ben Stein, writing in The American Spectator:

"The American people already know that Mr. Obama's plan to lower health costs while expanding coverage and bureaucracy is a myth, a promise of something that never was and never will be - a bureaucracy lowering costs in a free society. Either the costs go up or the free society goes away."

Clearly, the best way for us to stop Obama, Pelosi, and Reid from taking away our freedoms is to let them know we're onto their political scams.

By deluging the leaders in Congress with Blast Faxes, we can wake them up – and let them know that the American people are as mad as... you know what, and are not going to take it anymore.
