| Mr. President, We Are Not Demagogues -- Please Talk With Us | | | By Roy Beck, Thursday, August 13, 2009 | In Mexico, Pres. Obama indicated that all of us who regard legalizing 12-20 million illegal aliens as "unacceptable" are "demagogues." I think he used the term in its most pejorative sense, meaning that we use "false claims" to appeal to "popular prejudices." The President needs to get to know us better. NumbersUSA has been asking all year for a chance to explain our position at the White House. Even Pres. Bush let us do that a few times. How about now, Pres. Obama? | | Pres. Obama Criticizes Those Who Oppose Amnesty |
| | By Chris Chmielenski, Friday, August 14, 2009 | Earlier this week, Pres. Obama made a statement about the nation's 12-20 million illegal aliens during a trip to Mexico. In his statement, Pres. Obama offered a timeline for an amnesty bill in Congress, and called those against amnesty "demagogues." You can readRoy's new blog responding to the President's statement.
While Pres. Obama talked of amnesty for millions of illegal aliens, 15 million Americans are still unemployed. In Roy's new video blog, he calls for a suspension of all non-essential immigration. Watch Roy's blog You can also watch ourElevator Ad, which is currently running on CNN and Fox. If you get the chance to visit a Town Hall Meeting or visit with your Congressman during the August recess, urge them to stop the monthly importation of 125,000 foreign workers while millions of Americans are out of work.
Also, keep the pressure on Congress this month by asking them to include citizenship verification into the proposed healthcare bills to ensure illegal aliens don't receive benefits on behalf of American taxpayers. |
