Zeitgeist, "The Movie" & BlogRadio (A secular view of religion (Christianity) plus 9.11 & 'world financiers" conspiracy theories mixing fact with fiction

My take on the following film is that anyone, with a little research, can put together a hodge-podge of information which, in its total, can give a completely erroneous sense of a valid assumption.  In the case of the 9.11 conspiracy theory that's proposed in the film, it has been so completely debunked by many legitimate investigations that whatever the motives were ... that the 'anonymous' producer(s) of this film have no credibility. And, the 9.11 portion of the film has no value considering its many factual errors that are used to prop-up subsequent assumptions, allegations, and it's summation.  If alleged root facts are false, any hypotheticals derived from the fake information and implied results further compound the total fraud of the assumption that 9.11 was anything other than what it was, a Bin Laden & Al Qaeda Islmaic Muslim terrorist operation from start to its finality.  Besides, the ease with which the falsehoods, wild assumptions, and ignorant allegations are cobbled together to create the 9.11 conspiracy alleged in this film, presumes that our government (or some secret cabal) had the ability to secretly orchestrate and 'pull off' such a coverup.  That inherent assumption alone boggles the mind and makes it clear to me that the author(s) have never worked for our government ...a government that can't even balance a check book much less accomplish what this film alleges.  The wild, unfounded and anecdotal 9.11 assumptions are juvenile at best and is naïveté at its worst.

This may be the scariest clip to come off the net that I have ever watched.  I encourage you to watch it.  Once you get passed the religious stuff and take the WTC stuff with a grain of salt, it has some very informative history.  It's quite plain to me that we have learned nothing from the past.  The US citizen is and has been 'asleep at the wheel' and rapidly approaching the end of the road.  We must 'wake up' apply the brakes or we are doomed to fly off the cliff.  We are being tested and it's do or die time if we fail.

Now while you have found your way to this page (see links below) spend some of your time getting to know the Bill & Hillary family.   http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=8438833120507357139&ei=lTI3SobBI5H6rALpuoCzCA&q=the+clinton+chronicles#docid=-594683847743189197

We think Obamanation is an arrogant SOB, well he is but he dose not hold a candle to the Clintons.  Our leadership has thrown out the wash water and the US citizen with it.  It's nothing new and we have no one to blame but ourselves.  I know it's a lot to take in all at once, so save this message or the links and attack it a little at a time.

A quote from a BoingBoing blog at http://boingboing.net/2007/08/06/jay-kinney-reviews-z.html

"In three parts, Zeitgeist (which has no credits) attempts to show that 1) Christianity is rehashed pagan sun-worship and is used by the rich and powerful to control people, 2) the 9/11 tragedies were part of an elite conspiracy, and 3) ever since World War I, the ultra-rich have been secretly manufacturing wars and financial collapses to control the populace and to get richer and more powerful."

(One segment with mature verbage.)

The following is a re-post from the BoingBoing blog at: http://boingboing.net/2007/08/06/jay-kinney-reviews-z.html  The BoingBoing blog has lots of insightful comments regarding the video.  A couple of examples:

"..believe nothing that you hear and only half of what you see.."

"Much of the movies seems to be regurgitated Alex Jones stuff. And Alex as many people know, is not a very reliable source. Someone who believes everything, is someone who will tell you anything with 100% conviction, whether or not it's true."

Jay Kinney reviews Zeitgeist, the Movie
Posted by Mark Frauenfelder, August 6, 2007 4:13 PM | permalink

For the last couple of months, Boing Boing readers have been emailing me about a two-hour documentary available on Google Video called Zeitgeist, the Movie. I finally got around to viewing it.

In three parts, Zeitgeist (which has no credits) attempts to show that 1) Christianity is rehashed pagan sun-worship and is used by the rich and powerful to control people, 2) the 9/11 tragedies were part of an elite conspiracy, and 3) ever since World War I, the ultra-rich have been secretly manufacturing wars and financial collapses to control the populace and to get richer and more powerful.

I don't know enough about politics, history, or religion to have a valid opinion of Zeitgeist, but I was interested in getting a well-informed person's assessment of the documentary. I could think of no one better suited than Jay Kinney. ."

At my request, Jay watched the movie, and kindly wrote the following review for Boing Boing:

Zeiting the Geist
".. Exactly how all this fits together is left to the viewer’s imagination or, presumably, the film-maker’s hash pipe."

"Breaking new factual ground is not what Zeitgeist is about, however. Rather, the video is a powerful and fast-acting dose of agitprop, hawking its conclusions as givens. Unfortunately, like most propaganda, it doesn’t play fair with its intended audience. At times, while watching it, I felt like I was getting Malcolm McDowell’s treatment in Clockwork Orange: eyes pried wide open while getting bombarded with quick-cut atrocity photos."

.. Even when quotes or sound bites are attributed to a source, there’s no way to tell if they are quoted correctly or in context.

.. The video’s producer does inform us that “It is my hope that people will not take what is said in the film as the truth . . .”

Indeed."
