3 R's - The citizens need a basic level of knowledge ...Stupidity is bad

I have seen this in action and also have been dismayed at the severe lack of knowledge displayed by most people.  Seems we have forgotten what "work & effort" means.....

Genuine basic knowledge is missing .... What are the teachers told to teach?? Let's try the 3 R's again... and add some history and patriotism.!!

There is a base level of knowledge and facility that a citizenry must have in order to have high-functioning legal and governmental systems. The first thing autocratic or plutocratic governments do en route to disaster is find ways to make the people stupid. We seem to have democratized the perpetuation of stupidity, anti-intellectualism, and hasty decision making. It's bad for our legal system and it's bad for the Republic.
