o'humor - Field Crops by Lubbuck, Tx Airport

From: aerc1 Date: 4Feb10

This is how a lot of the area around this part of the state looks from the air where the land is under cultivation. You can see part of a circle on one photo. The irrigation system is on a pivot and some are large enough to water an entire section of land. When you land in Lubbock, this is the sight you see coming in -- the land around the airport to the north is mostly farm land, and since it's so flat, you can see for miles.

View when planes land at Lubbock , TX airport

The farmer who owns the field made the images... it's near the airport, so all of the planes coming and going can see the message... it would be hard to land in Lubbock, Texas and not see this.

After many reported sightings, these images were recorded in mid-August this year. They are on a field approximately one mile northeast of Preston Smith International airport, Lubbock , Texas ..

It makes you proud to live in Texas !
