5/21/11 - Herman Cain announced he is officially running for President of the United States today at a rally in Atlanta, Georgia, before a crowd of 15,000 supporters.
Cain declared we need new leadership to bring to pass a new vision that is owned by the American People. He hit every note with perfect pitch as he tied together the different strands he has been laying out for his campaign over the past several months.
Herman Cain said he would never "throw our friends under the bus," as President Obama did with Israel this week.
In his closing refrain, Cain said that when the votes are all counted on Election Day in November 2012, and everyone wakes up the day after with Herman Cain as the new President, "we'll all be able to say, 'Free at last, free at last, thank God Almighty this nation is free again.'"
