Nancy Pelosi drew an interesting biblical analogy – claiming that the President has more patience than Job when it comes to dealing with the GOP on debt ceiling talks. But as Stu pointed out, doesn't that make the GOP the equivalent of Satan?
"I want to commend the president. I had never seen, Job is no place compared to this president in terms of patience," Pelosi said.
Pat pointed out that her praise of his patience comes after he stormed out of a meeting on the debt ceiling talks.
Glenn was understandably offended by the comments, noting that there was no comparison between between Job, who was tested by God who allowed Satan to put the biblical figure through difficult trials, and the President. Job was plagued by sickness and the loss of his family, while the President only has to endure meetings with politicians.
