Democrats have no one to blame but themselves.

     The Democrats have had a majority in both houses of Congress since the 2006 elections until November 2010 when Republicans regained control of the House.  Prior to 2006, Republicans controlled the House for the prior 12 years and the Senate for 10 of the prior 12 years.  Going back further, the Democrats had a majority in the House from 1949 to 1993 and the Senate swung back and forth several times in that period.
     How long have Democrats controlled Congress?  It's easier to answer the question by how many years have the Republicans controlled both houses since 1950...the answer...only four...and two of those four the majority in the Senate was 51-49, a razor thin and actually Democrat controlled since at least four Republican senators were liberal in voting.
