Timothy Johnson, 24, arrested on suspicion of robbing, killing Lancaster computer store owner

LANCASTER -- A 24-year-old alleged gang member wanted for the Friday robbery and shooting death of a Lancaster computer store owner was arrested today in South Los Angeles, the Sheriff's Department said.

Timothy Johnson 2007 mugshot     Timothy Johnson, who was on parole, was captured at about 1 a.m. in South Los Angeles, according to a department statement.
     It was not immediately known where or what led to Johnson's arrest, said Sgt. Pauline Panis of the Sheriff's Headquarters Bureau. 
     Reed Lewis Keith, 58, was fatally shot in his eChaps Computer and More store on Avenue K at 20th Strest West about 4 p.m. Friday. On Saturday, detectives named Johnson as their suspect. 
     "Most of the property stolen was recovered at a nearby residence," Deputy Guillermina Saldana of the Sheriff's Headquarters Bureau said. 
     Members of a sheriff's department Special Weapons And Tactics team thought they had Johnson surrounded at the address in the 43000 block of Grange Street in the Antelope Valley late Friday, but he got away.
