MAYOR, POLICE CHIEF AND CITY TRUSTEE FROM ONE NEW MEXICO BORDER TOWN GUILTY OF GUN SMUGGLING
U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder isn't the only one involved in international gun-running.  The border town of Columbus, New Mexico with a population of 2,000 has had three high-level city officials found guilty of abusing their power by smuggling guns across the porous U.S.-Mexico border.
The operation sold about 100 firearms, mostly assault rifles, to Mexican drug cartels.
But Columbus, New Mexico isn't the only border town under investigation of corruption and smuggling.  In just eight years, 130 U.S. Border Patrol agents have been arrested and 600 more are under investigation.
