o'emanuel - Homos' & Islam but not Christianity! (to turn a phrase, strange bedfellows)

     At the time Dr. Ann Dunham [Obama] Soetoro was in Jakarta, she was working for the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID.)  Dr. Dunham Obama Soetoro's base salary was $82,500 annually, plus a housing allowance, and a car.  That's $123,243.00 in U.S. dollars today.  During the time she was with USAID, she also worked for the Ford Foundation under Peter Geithner, the father of current U.S. Secretary of Treasury, Tim Geithner.

     For [Emanuel], born of Jewish parents, Farrakhan [born Louis Eugene Wolcott] seems an unlikely bed fellow (no pun intended)!

Rahm Emanuel chooses Nation of Islam's Louis Farrakhan over American Christians     The Godfather of ballet and mayor of Chicago Rahm Emanuel leads the city of Chicago in full liberal style.  Murders plague his city mainly because of the gun control laws in place, their sales tax is the third highest in the nation at 9.5%, unemployment is the nation's third worst, and it's crime rate is near the top in the nation.  So what does Mayor Emanuel do about it?  He looks to ban Chick-Fil-A.
     In a move to side with his partner in crime, Boston mayor Thomas Menino, Rahm Emanuel told the Chicago Tribune,
"Chick-fil-A values are not Chicago values.  They disrespect our fellow neighbors and residents."
     Emanuel was backed up by Chicago alderman Proco "Joe" Moreno who announced he would block the efforts of Chick-Fil-A to build a second store in Chicago.  Echoing Emanuel's comments he said, "If you are discriminating against a segment of the community, I don't want you in the 1st Ward."
     He referred to President of Chick-fil-A Dan Cathy's comments in support of biblical marriage as "bigoted, homophobic comments."  Then to top it all off he said, "Because of this man's ignorance, I will now be denying Chick-fil-A's permit to open a restaurant in the 1st Ward."
     This would be comical if it were not real life.  What makes it even juicer is on a phone conversation, he claimed "the intolerance of an organization and my lack of acceptance of that intolerance is not hypocrisy.  That's so sophomoric."
     Well pot, this is kettle and Mr. Moreno's comments and thinking doesn't even rise to the level of sophomore.  It's more like the logic of a kindergarten student.  It's not hypocrisy that Mr. Moreno is intolerant of a businesses stand on a particular issue, though they continue to serve those that they disagree with?  It makes you wonder if the Godfather is sneaking Mr. Moreno off to his house at night for a little private ballet lesson, doesn't it?
     While Moreno claims that he is not violating Chick-Fil-A's First Amendment rights, which is technically true, he does discriminate against them based on what they hold to as a company.  So does Rahm Emanuel.  These evil men discriminate and are bigots and intolerant of people that hold a different view than them, but unlike Chick-Fil-A, they will not let those people have a voice in the community and will do everything in their power to shut them up.
     As I stated before, the Georgia-based fast food organization continues to serve people regards of lifestyle they engage in.  They simply choose to affirm what the Bible teaches and that is commendable.
     It is worth noting who Rahm Emanuel does welcome into the city and doesn't think it is disrespectful: an anti-Semite, anti-Christian, Nation of Islam leader named Louis Farrakhan.  As Emanuel tried to justify Farrakhan's presence in the city of Chicago and having his input in Chicago's ability to fight crime he said,
"People of faith have a role to play and community leaders have a role to play in helping to protect our neighborhoods and our citizens.  You cannot get there on just one piece of an anti-crime strategy."
     So what is clearly being portrayed here is that Chicago's governor wants people of faith in the community and claims that they have a role to play, just not people like Chick-Fil-A who promote biblical marriage and actually serve the community.  But hey, that's liberals for ya!
