Imperial Valley, California - No Jobs, More Sand & No F35s?.

Imperial Valley, California - No Jobs, More Sand
ICE may cut off 500+ employees here.  Will that further exacerbate border crossing backups?  Already downtown Calexico is drying up faster than the fallowed farm lands that are being reclaimed by the ever growing sand dunes.  Couple that with 1200+ jobs lost with Brawley Beef & the 400+ gone with the produce packing business in ELC - on top of our almost 'highest unemployment rate in the nation' - clearly makes getting the F35s here [not Miramar or Lemoore] crucial to our economic future.  Our Democrat senators and federal representative are glaringly silent as our metro area is dying on the vine (so-to-speak.)  For once, a little 'pork barrel' is justifiable.
As folks pull up stakes, property values will drop.  There will be less children in schools ...which might be a good thing for them.  They might not be exposed to "Common Core" which headlined locally ...over jobs and the economy.  They were on the back burner along with the F35s.
