"It has been suggested that o'who? and 'those who surround him' aren't the "Keystone Cops" and bumbling fools they appear to be. In fact, o'nocchio's grandiose scheme to "fundamentally transform America" is more than simple campaign rhetoric. ... It signals those who maneuvered him into power that our economic and social systems will be overwhelmed with burdens that will lead to their collapse. And then, a new era of social progressivism will arise from the ashes of the former America to be led by those very 'puppet-masters' now orchestrating its destruction." -- RFH/KD
".. one of the "great tragedies of the civil rights movement" was that it was court-centric and got away from "political and community organizing and activities on the ground that are able to put together the actual coalitions of power through which you bring about redistributive change."

"Hey, that’s just like ACORN and its spiritual grandfather, Saul Alinsky, isn’t it? He was very sneaky and very smart."
The National Education Association (NEA) has on its recommended reading list:

"Reveille for Radicals" and "Rules for Radicals" by Saul Alinsky
The NEA says on its web site: "An inspiration to anyone contemplating action in their community! And to every organizer!"
If anyone has any doubts about the o'who? agenda and who are his 'fellow travelers', this should suffice to peak your interest!
From http://edwatch.blogspot.com/2009/11/nea-recommends-saul-alinskys-rules-for.html
"Based on the logic that the NEA is recommending that teachers read this book and the the NEA endorsed reviewer appears to be embracing it, it is reasonable to assume that the NEA recommends that teachers follow the advice in the book and that teachers agitate against the rule of law in this nation, aggravate anyone who opposes the teachers and the NEA's views on issues, educate children on what to believe, and organize in such as way as to defeat any enemies of the NEA. The NEA recommends that teachers become radicals."

The NEA recommends that your teacher become a radical."

"From the "just when you thought you'd seen everything file" comes the revelation that the National Education Association (NEA), the largest labor union in the United States, has an interesting book in its "Recommended Reading" section. That book is none other than Radical Marxist and Community Organizer, Saul Alinsky's, "Rule for Radicals." Barack Obama, the nation's leading radical "Community Organizer", corrupt ACORN, and Saul Alinsky's, "Rules for Radicals," have indivisible ties (listen: HERE).
From the NEA's own website, where you can even purchase the book:
Alinsky devised and proved thirteen tactical rules for use against opponents vastly superior in power and wealth:
1. "Power is not only what you have but what the enemy thinks you have.
2. "Never go outside the experience of your people.
3. "Wherever possible go outside of the experience of the enemy.
4. "Make the enemy live up to their own book of rules.
5. "Ridicule is man's most potent weapon.
6. "A good tactic is one that your people enjoy.
7. "A tactic that drags on too long becomes a drag.
8. "Keep the pressure on.
9. "The threat is usually more terrifying than the thing itself.
10. "Major premise for tactics is development of operations that will maintain constant pressure upon the opposition.
11. "If you push a negative hard and deep enough it will break through into its counterside.
12. "The price of a successful attack is a constructive alternative.
13. "Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it.
"The real action is in the enemy's reaction. The enemy properly goaded and guided in his reaction will be your major strength. Tactics, like life, require that you move with the action."Alinsky was hated and defamed by powerful enemies, proof that his tactics worked.
His simple formula for success...
"Agitate + Aggravate + Educate + Organize"
It's no mystery that the NEA is a left-leaning organization. I had no idea, however, that they were radically far left. From the NEA's Vision, Mission, and Values section (bold added):
Collective Action. We believe individuals are strengthened when they work together for the common good. As education professionals, we improve both our professional status and the quality of public education when we unite and advocate collectively.
Terms like "public good", "common good", and "the collective" have been used by Socialists, Communists, and Fascists to warrant the demolishing of individual rights and freedom.
It's no small wonder that Ayn Rand's books, printed decades ago, are making a huge comeback and that the U. S. Constitution was recently on the best sellers' list. Ayn Rand, a Russian immigrant to the United States, knew a few things about Communism:
The political philosophy of collectivism is based on a view of man as a congenital incompetent, a helpless, mindless creature who must be fooled and ruled by a special elite with some unspecified claim to superior wisdom and a lust for power.
The tribal notion of “the common good” has served as the moral justification of most social systems—and of all tyrannies—in history. The degree of a society’s enslavement or freedom corresponded to the degree to which that tribal slogan was invoked or ignored.
It is beyond revolting that a teacher organization is pushing the philosophy and methodology of a person of the likes of Saul Alinsky. This is not simply a case of a book that is sold on its site. This is a group that represents those who work with our children espousing the principles of a unashamed radical Marxist and intertwining his belief system into their mission statement. Ties of such an organization that reaches into the depths of our educational system to Saul Alinsky is highly inappropriate and dangerous. But, perhaps that explains the attempts of so many in our educational system to push "revisionist history" in an attempt to rewrite the truth of what's so to what they want our children to believe.

"Oh my. Does it get any stranger than this? The NEA, that’s the National Education Association, funded by YOUR taxpayer $$, has endorsed two books by Saul Alinsky, radical Marxist/socialist mentor to Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama. One is "Rules for Radicals" and the other is the "Reveille For Radicals" and there are links on their site to where to buy it. America just gets weirder and weirder by the day. Here’s the link to the page on the NEA website, again, paid for by YOUR tax dollars. http://www.nea.org/tools/17231.htm If you need more information about Saul Alinsky, I have written extensively about him on this blog…there’s a whole category devoted to this man."
From http://www.arlenwilliams.com/obama_career_path.html
"Barack Obama, by his own book, plus the testimony of relatives and friends, was raised in quite a family. While in high school, his motherdeveloped an affinity with a teacher who led readings from Marx. She became an atheist or agnostic and met Barack Obama Sr. in a college Russian language class - a Russian language class, circa 1960.
From Hawaii, Barack was on to New York and Columbia University (Bill Ayers was a neighbor there, too) then Chicago (where Ayers returned). Obama writes of attending socialist conferences and reading Marxist books around this time. He was trained in and taught the insurgent methods of "Rules for Radicals" drafted by cynical, "transformational Marxist," Saul Alinsky. Thesis: lie, cheat, steal, etc., while making those with American principles live up to impossibly high standards of institutional altruism, so that we and our liberal government fail in ridicule. Preach "change" and gradually build an activist army of the proletariat, motivated by (short sighted) self interest, for a crescendoing revolt. All, to pave the way for the "egalitarian state." And funny thing, Alinsky's book tosses an acknowledgment to Lucifer, "the very first radical," a refreshing lapse into candor."
Who Is Behind Barack Obama?s Rise to Stardom?
"The Rothschild-Soros connection controls voter registration (ACORN), money laundering (Tides), billions in stimulus spending (Apollo), possibly the future of health care (SEIU), finance (Franks), and the Oval Office?s inner workings (Emanuel, Axelrod and Summers)?"

Chaitkin elaborates further in "Soros Runs British Foreign Office Coup Against U.S. Elections," an online article. "On December 4, 2006, two years after getting into the U.S. Senate, Barack Obama went to Soros's New York office to be interviewed for higher office. Soros then took Obama into a conference room for other politically subordinate billionaires. With money and connections assured, Obama announced for the presidency soon afterward."
Who, precisely, will determine how our world should be? Mrs. Obama's poignant phrase was lifted directly from Saul Alinsky, a Chicago-based Jewish extremist who penned the handbook for far-left causes, Rules for Radicals. related: http://harrolds.blogspot.com/2009/09/who-or-what-is-behind-barrack-obamas.html

Quote: "Cloward-Piven is a strategy for forcing political change through orchestrated crisis."
Cloward-Piven's early promoters cited radical organizer Saul Alinsky as their inspiration. "Make the enemy live up to their (sic) own book of rules," Alinsky wrote in his 1989 book Rules for Radicals. When pressed to honor every jot and tittle of every law and statute; every Judaeo-Christian moral tenet; and every implicit promise of the liberal social contract, human agencies inevitably fall short. The system's failure to "live up" to its rule book can then be used to discredit it altogether, and to replace the capitalist "rule book" with a socialist one.
In its earliest form, the Cloward-Piven strategy applied Alinsky's principle to the specific area of welfare entitlements. It counseled activists to create what might be called Trojan Horse movements - mass movements whose outward purpose seemed to be providing material help to the downtrodden, but whose real purpose was to draft poor people into service as revolutionary foot soldiers.
The specific function of these Trojan Horse movements was to mobilize poor people en masse to overwhelm government agencies with a flood of demands beyond the capacity of those agencies to meet. The flood of demands was calculated to break the budget, jam the bureaucratic gears into gridlock, and bring the system crashing down. Fear, turmoil, violence and economic collapse would accompany such a breakdown - providing perfect conditions for fostering radical change. That, at least, was the theory behind the Cloward-Piven strategy.
Creamer is a member of Obama's Chicago mob, a fellow "community organizer" and disciple of Saul Alinsky. Like all of Obama's Chicago benefactors, Creamer believes that he is above the law, or, more appropriately, that he is the law in today's age of the rule of men. But like Tony Rezko, another of Obama's slick Chicago political backers, Creamer was caught with his hand in the till and was convicted of a felony (bank fraud) back in 2004 when Obama was a state senator. Creamer got a softball sentence, though: five months in a minimum-security facility for white-collar criminals and another 11 months of house arrest.
With all that time on his hands, Creamer authored a book, "How Progressives Can Win," which, along with Alinsky's "Rules for Radicals," serves as the template for Obama's campaign to "fundamentally transform" America.
Obama didn't use the word "transform" in his SOTU, but he did insist that government must "lay a new foundation for long-term economic growth," under the pretense of "reform," in order to "give our people the government they deserve."" related: http://harrolds.blogspot.com/2010/01/oarrogant-state-of-union-obama-v.html

The key to sparking this rebellion would be to expose the inadequacy of the welfare state. This Cloward and Piven proposed to do, in classic [Saul 'Rules for Radicals'] Alinsky fashion, by forcing welfare bureaucrats to live up to their own book of rules.
Radical organizers today continue tinkering with variations on the Cloward-Piven theme, in the perennial hope of reproducing '60s-style chaos. The thuggish behavior of leftwing unions such as SEIU and of certain elements of George Soros' Shadow Party can be traced, in a direct line of descent, from the early practitioners of Cloward-Piven.

Both the Living Wage and Voting Rights movements depend heavily on financial support from George Soros's Open Society Institute. It is largely thanks to money from Soros that the Cloward-Piven strategy continues even now to eat away at America's political and economic infrastructure.
"But when he announced his aspirations to become a U.S. senator in 2004, Obama began to cover his tracks. He stopped associating publicly with Leftist colleagues and mentors such as Jeremiah Wright, Michael Pfleger, William Ayers, Bernardine Dohrn, Khalid al-Mansour, Rashid Khalidi, Bob Creamer and others.

"Obama, the Leftist community organizer schooled in the radical methods of Saul Alinsky, recognizes that in the current legal landscape legislation will be necessary to impose the injustice he calls “economic justice.” Lawmakers needn’t do all the work. Politically unaccountable judges, many favorably predisposed toward Leftist schemes, can be a force multiplier. First, however, they must be given just enough legislative license."

Townhall.com has a video clip (under Amanda Carpenter’s August 26 [2008] post entitled “Are Khalid al Mansour and Obama Friends?”) of Malcolm X’s attorney, Percy Sutton, saying that rich muslim businessman Dr. Khalid al Mansour (who founded the Saudi African Bank) asked him to write a letter of recommendation to Harvard Law on behalf of Barack H. Obama, who was community organizing in Chicago at the time, on the model of communist organizer Saul Alinsky. .. Mansour and then Sutton, who saw Obama as an ally, potentially at the highest levels of the u.s. government in the future, so off went B. Hussein to Harvard Law, to later be that ally at the highest levels of government, Barack Hussein Obama, the apparent nominee for President of the United States of America.
