EXCELLENT IDEA!

      In Seville, Spain, the City Council authorized the construction of a Mosque on one of the empty pieces of land.  The citizens did not want the mosque built in their vicinity and found a brilliant solution.

      They buried a pig in the land, and made the news public.  The Islamic law prohibits the construction of a mosque on lands desecrated  by remains of pigs, therefore the Muslims had to renounce the construction on this desecrated land...

      Astute Sevillans…The commentaries of the Civil Guard (Police) are very interesting.  Maybe it is the solution needed by New York to avoid the construction of a mosque in the vicinity of the twin towers.

      The Israelis are using a similar strategy since 2004.  They placed a box containing pig lard on the buses in Israel and made it public that any kamikaze suicide bomber who tries to assault a bus, risks the prohibition of entering the heaven by getting the pig lard on him.

      There are no suicide bombers on the buses in Israel any more.

Defender of the U. S. Constitution, The Obama Administration's Department of Homeland Security recently swore in two devout Muslims in senior posts. Arif Alikhan -- a devout Muslim, as Assistant Secretary for Policy Development.   DHS Secretary Janet Napolitano swore-in Kareem Shora, a devout Muslim, who was born in Damascus, Syria, as ADC National Executive Director as a member of the Homeland Security Advisory Council (HSAC).  Was it not "Devout Muslim men" that flew planes into U.S. buildings 9 years ago?  Was it not a Devout Muslim who killed 14 at Fort Hood? And now the building of not just a mosque, but an Islamic Training Center near Ground Zero!  The Imam is radical and blames 9-11 on the United States! Even though we are for religious freedom, why should someone be against a Mosque at Ground Zero?  Strangely enough, let's look at the Qur'an: 1. Read Sura 18:21 and you will know WHY Muslims insist on building a mosque over Ground Zero (they also built mosques, as symbols of victory, over Spanish churches in Cordoba and Seville and Segovia, and Agia Sophia in Constantinople) 2. Kill Non-Believers. Sura 9:5, 9:3, and 9:29 of the Koran effectively commands Muslims to kill the non-believers 3. Democracy and Imposing Sharia Law. Sura 5:48 makes it clear that Muslims do not accept the manner by which men choose to rule themselves (i.e. a Constitution, laws, Democracy), but that the Muslims must rule over us "in accordance with God's revelations to you" (i.e. to the Muslims). This Sura puts them in direct opposition to the Constitutions of all Western Countries. Here is what their Qur'an says about: 4. Jews and Christians. Sura 5:51, 5:54, and 5:60 label Jews and Christians as "pigs and monkeys" 5. The Qur'an Supersedes All Previous Scripture. Sura 5:48 and 5:57 establish that the Qur'an supersedes all previous scripture (i.e. including the Bible and the Torah) 6. Later Verses of the Qur'an Supersede Earlier Ones (Sura 5:48).  This means that the last Suras are what govern a devout Muslim and NOT the early ones.  The latter ones are the ones calling for the killing of Jews and Christians. In fact, you might also want to note that Sura 5 and 9 are among THE LAST THREE SURAS written.  There are 114 Suras in all.  To a devout Muslim, these commands are clear. We live in dangerous times. On September 17 we celebrate Constitution Day in the US. Our Constitution is very much under open and surreptitious attack by the forces of Islam. A resurgent Islam is threatening us not only abroad, but inside the borders of America. The controversy surrounding the building of a giant mosque and Islamic community center at Ground Zero is but a mere manifestation of the insensitivity and organized campaign of Islam to change America.  The families of the 9-11 victims deserve much respect---building an Islamic mosque near their death spot is NOT "respect"! The Muslim Brotherhood, which was founded in 1928 in Egypt and pursues an Islamic fundamentalist agenda, has been actively trying to subvert the U. S. way of life for decades. In November 2008 a Federal Court for the Northern District of Texas found the defendants guilty of raising $ 12 million in donations from trusting Americans to the Holy land Foundation.  Holy Land Foundation turned out to be a front for collecting and sending money to Hamas, an organization based in Gaza and classified as a terrorist organization by the U.S. government. During the trial, a vast array of secret documents of the Muslim Brotherhood came to light, which the defendant acknowledged as original.  They laid bare the Brotherhood's use of "front" civic organizations.  One of the documents produced and acknowledged as original was an "Explanatory Memorandum" authored by Mohamed Akram, and dated May 22, 1991.  The memorandum calls for the Muslim faithful in America to engage in "a kind of Jihad in eliminating and destroying Western civilizations from within and 'sabotaging' its miserable house..." It refers to the need to present "Islam as a civilization alternative" and states that "It is a Muslim's destiny to perform Jihad..."  The Federal Judge on this case was so outraged by the evidence presented that he ordered the list of 302 Unindicted Co-Conspirators to be published on the Court's web site.  You can still find it there today on the Internet. Here's the way it should be:
Let's put the seniors in jail and the criminals in nursing homes. 
This would correct two things in one motion:
Seniors would have access to showers, hobbies and walks.
They would receive unlimited free prescriptions, dental and medical treatment, wheel chairs, etc.
They would receive money instead of having to pay it out.
They would have constant video monitoring, so they would be helped instantly if they fell or needed assistance.
Bedding would be washed twice a week and all clothing would be ironed and returned to them.
A guard would check on them every 20 minutes.
All meals and snacks would be brought to them
They would have family visits in a suite built for that purpose.
They would have access to a library, weight/fitness room, spiritual counseling, a pool and education...and free admission to in-house concerts by nationally recognized entertainment artists.
Simple clothing - ie., shoes, slippers, pj's - and legal aid would be free, upon request.
There would be private, secure rooms provided for all with an outdoor exercise yard complete with gardens.
 Each senior would have a P.C., T.V., phone and radio in their room at no cost.
They would receive daily phone calls.
There would be a board of directors to hear any complaints and the ACLU would fight for their rights and protection.
The guards would have a code of conduct to be strictly adhered to, with attorneys available, at no charge to protect the seniors and their families from abuse or neglect.
As for the criminals:
They would receive cold food.
They would be left alone and unsupervised.
They would receive showers once a week.
They would live in tiny rooms, for which they would have to pay $5,000 per month.
They would have no hope of ever getting out.
"Sounds like justice to me!"

      One of the most contentious issues in the vast literature about alcohol consumption has been the consistent finding that those who don't drink actually tend to die sooner than those who do. The standard Alcoholics Anonymous explanation for this finding is that many of those who show up as abstainers in such research are actually former hard-core drunks who had already incurred health problems associated with drinking.
      But a new paper in the journal Alcoholism: Clinical and Experimental Research suggests that - for reasons that aren't entirely clear - abstaining from alcohol does actually tend to increase one's risk of dying even when you exclude former drinkers. The most shocking part? Abstainers' mortality rates are higher than those of heavy drinkers. (See pictures of booze under a microscope.)
      Moderate drinking, which is defined as one to three drinks per day, is associated with the lowest mortality rates in alcohol studies. Moderate alcohol use (especially when the beverage of choice is red wine) is thought to improve heart health, circulation and sociability, which can be important because people who are isolated don't have as many family members and friends who can notice and help treat health problems.
      But why would abstaining from alcohol lead to a shorter life? It's true that those who abstain from alcohol tend to be from lower socioeconomic classes, since drinking can be expensive. And people of lower socioeconomic status have more life stressors - job and child-care worries that might not only keep them from the bottle but also cause stress-related illnesses over long periods. (They also don't get the stress-reducing benefits of a drink or two after work.)
      But even after controlling for nearly all imaginable variables - socioeconomic status, level of physical activity, number of close friends, quality of social support and so on - the researchers (a six-member team led by psychologist Charles Holahan of the University of Texas at Austin) found that over a 20-year period, mortality rates were highest for those who had never been drinkers, second-highest for heavy drinkers and lowest for moderate drinkers.       The sample of those who were studied included individuals between ages 55 and 65 who had had any kind of outpatient care in the previous three years. The 1,824 participants were followed for 20 years. One drawback of the sample: a disproportionate number, 63%, were men. Just over 69% of the never-drinkers died during the 20 years, 60% of the heavy drinkers died and only 41% of moderate drinkers died.
      These are remarkable statistics. Even though heavy drinking is associated with higher risk for cirrhosis and several types of cancer (particularly cancers in the mouth and esophagus), heavy drinkers are less likely to die than people who have never drunk. One important reason is that alcohol lubricates so many social interactions, and social interactions are vital for maintaining mental and physical health. As I pointed out last year, nondrinkers show greater signs of depression than those who allow themselves to join the party.
      The authors of the new paper are careful to note that even if drinking is associated with longer life, it can be dangerous: it can impair your memory severely and it can lead to nonlethal falls and other mishaps (like, say, cheating on your spouse in a drunken haze) that can screw up your life. There's also the dependency issue: if you become addicted to alcohol, you may spend a long time trying to get off the bottle. (Comment on this story.)
      That said, the new study provides the strongest evidence yet that moderate drinking is not only fun but good for you.  So make mine a double.

Schrag's posh condo is 2,000 square feet and has three bedrooms and two bathrooms with a nice view of the Manhattan skyline. Schrag's luxurious residence is only a five block walk to the RGGI headquarters. I guess he didn't want to risk creating a carbon foot print by driving to work. OUR TAX DOLLARS ARE FUNDING LUXURIOUS LIFESTYLES FOR CROOKS Schrag is paid to keep secrets. He has refused to disclose how much money he makes and the salaries of his employees. Schrag told New Jersey Watch Dog to get lost when they asked him to disclose RGGI's records. Most companies have to reveal to the IRS the salaries of their employees. RGGI is given special treatment because our government is backing their scheme. There recently was an article in the St. Petersburg , Florida Times.  The Business Section asked readers for ideas on: "How Would You Fix the Economy?"  I think this guy nailed it!

Dear Mr. President,

Please find below my suggestion for fixing America 's economy.  Instead of giving billions of dollars to companies that will squander the money on lavish parties and unearned bonuses, use the following plan.
You can call it the "Patriotic Retirement Plan":

There are about 40 million people over 50 in the work force.  Pay them $1 million apiece severance for early retirement with the following stipulations:

1) They MUST retire. Forty million job openings - Unemployment fixed.
2) They MUST buy a new AMERICAN Car.  Forty million cars ordered - Auto Industry fixed

3) They MUST either buy a house or pay off their mortgage - Housing Crisis fixed.

It can't get any easier than that!!

P.S. If more money is needed, have all members in Congress pay their taxes..
Mr.. President, while you're at it, make Congress retire on Social Security and Medicare.  I'll bet both programs would be fixed pronto!

 3. Let's get this straight: it's called a 'gravel road.'  I drive a pickup truck because I want to.  No matter how slow you drive, you're gonna get dust on your Lexus.  Drive it or get out of the way.
 4. They are cattle.  That's why they smell like cattle.  They smell like money to us.  Get over it.  Don't like it? I-10 & I-40 go east and west, I-17 & I-15 goes north and south.  Pick one and go.
 5. So you have a $60,000 car.  We're impressed.  We have $250,000 Combines that are driven only 3 weeks a year.
 6. Every person in the Wild West waves.  It's called being friendly. Try to understand the concept.
7. If that cell phone rings while a bunch of geese/pheasants/ducks/doves are comin' in during a hunt, we WILL shoot it outta your hand.  You better hope you don't have it up to your ear at the time.
8. Yeah. We eat trout, salmon, deer and elk.  You really want sushi and caviar?  It's available at the corner bait shop.
9. The 'Opener' refers to the first day of deer season.  It's a religious holiday held the closest Saturday to the first of November.
10. We open doors for women.  That's applied to all women, regardless of age.
11. No, there's no 'vegetarian special' on the menu.  Order steak, or you can order the Chef's Salad and pick off the 2 pounds of ham and turkey.
12. When we fill out a table, there are three main dishes: meats, vegetables, and breads. We use three spices: salt, pepper, and ketchup! Oh, yeah ... We don't care what you folks in Cincinnati call that stuff you eat ... IT AIN'T REAL CHILI !!
13. You bring 'Coke' into my house, it better be brown, wet and served over ice.  You bring 'Mary Jane' into my house, she better be cute, know how to shoot, drive a truck, and have long hair.
14. College and High School Football is as important here as the Giants, the Yankees, the Mets, the Lakers and the Knicks, and a dang site more fun to watch.
15. Yeah, we have golf courses.  But don't hit the water hazards - it spooks the fish.
16. Turn down that blasted car stereo!  That thumpity-thump ain't music, anyway.  We don't want to hear it anymore than we want to see your boxers! Refer back to #1!
       A true Westerner will send this to at least 10 others and a few new friends that probably won't get it, but we're friendly so we share in hopes you can begin to understand what a real life is all about!!!

He will also be registered to be taxed and be a legal resident. .... This option will probably deter illegal immigration and provide a solution for the troops in Afghanistan and the aliens trying to make a better life for themselves. ... If they refuse to serve, ship them to Afghanistan anyway, without the canteen, rifle or ammo. ... So the following are facts, based on the government's own figures.

• Obama's stimulus, passed in his first month in office, will cost more than the entire Iraq War -- more than $100 billion (15%) more.
  
• Just the first two years of Obama's stimulus cost more than the entire cost of the Iraq War under President Bush, or six years of that war.
  
• Iraq War spending accounted for just 3.2% of all federal spending while it lasted.
  
• Iraq War spending was not even one quarter of what we spent on Medicare in the same time frame.
  
• Iraq War spending was not even 15% of the total deficit spending in that time frame. The cumulative deficit, 2003-2010, would have been four-point-something trillion dollars with or without the Iraq War.
  
• The Iraq War accounts for less than 8% of the federal debt held by the public at the end of 2010 ($9.031 trillion).
  
• During Bush's Iraq years, 2003-2008, the federal government spent more on education that it did on the Iraq War. (State and local governments spent about ten times more.)

Google launches Internet telephone service with free U.S. calls

      Google Inc. unveiled a service on Wednesday that allows Gmail users to initiate free phone calls to the U.S. and Canada from within the e-mail product, directly taking on other Internet calling services and traditional telecommunications companies.
      The Mountain View search giant is linking together its Google Voice call forwarding service with Gmail's chat feature, allowing users to launch Internet-based calls through the Web browser and talk using their computer's built-in speaker and microphone (or a headset if they prefer).
      "Gmail is a great way to handle all your online communications and Google Voice is a great way to handle all your phone communications," said Craig Walker, product manager for real time communications at Google. "We thought, wouldn't it be great if we could bring all these things together."
      It's the latest in a series of Gmail additions that are increasingly transforming the service into an all-in-one communications tool, where people can manage their contacts, e-mailing, chatting, video conferencing and now phone calls.   For Google, the features all encourage users to spend greater amounts of time within the company's network, providing more opportunity to deliver the targeted ads that are Google's lifeblood.
There are no major technical advances here, as people have been able to make phone calls over the Internet with services like Skype or Vonage for years. But the packaging and pricing might be different enough to represent a new level of competition.
      By working through Gmail, Google can automatically tap into its installed base of around 150 million users.   Moreover, the service doesn't require any software downloads and, in many cases, will be cheaper than the alternatives.
      The company is committing to free calling rates to the U.S. and Canada for at least the rest of the year.   Most international calls will be cheaper than typical mobile rates, though not usual landline ones, the company said.   Google won't be charging the standard one-time connection fees either.

      The service, which will not be available over mobile phone browsers initially, will roll out to U.S. users over the next few days.
      The new unnamed service includes many of the features that have drawn people to Google Voice. Those include the ability for one number to ring several phones, delivery of voice mails as transcribed e-mails and texts, and greetings that can be customized to particular callers.
      Users can launch calls by clicking on the "Call phone" option at the top of their chat list and then dialing a number or entering a name from their contact list.
