During a news broadcast on Russian TV, anchor Tatiana Limanova spoke about Russian President Dmitry Medvedev’s appearance at the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) summit.  Shortly after, the anchor mentioned that Medvedev will soon take an APEC leadership role previous held by U.S. President Barack Obama.  The only odd thing to note, however, is that Limanova says Obama’s name while simultaneously showing her middle finger.      REN-TV, Limanova’s network, is reportedly one of Russia’s largest privately-owned news channels, claiming an audience of 113 million.      While inadvertent gesticulations can at times occur, this particular finger-placement can hardly be construed as anything else.

Here is the translation:
"Today, Dimitry Medvedev, became a chairman of Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC), earlier, this position was taken by an american president, Barack Obama (flip off).  During the press conference that took place in the capital of Hawaii, Honolulu, Medvedev spoke on this matter as well as cooperating with Americans on anti-missile defense system."  ("Not the best, but you get the idea.", Youtube translation comment by realwd, 21Nov11)
