Rush Limbaugh said Tuesday that Democrats are on "suicide watch" since new polling indicates GOP presidential nominee Mitt Romney has closed the gap on President Barack Obama.
On Monday, a Pew Research Center poll had Romney
leading Obama 49 percent to 45 percent among likely voters. And Tuesday, a Gallup survey had Romney
leading 49 percent to 47 percent among likely voters.
"Pew poll. Democrats. Suicide watch," the conservative commentator said on his radio program Tuesday,
according to a transcript. "Something about this poll, because I just want to be complete in reporting it to you. There is a plus-five Republican sample in this poll."
