This is beautiful, just beautiful.  I say, dump the chump and the rest of his losers.   An old song "Oh Donna" with words changed to "O..Bama...~~" and so worth hearing, especially with other Presidents at end speaking.  It is actually a song people can buy on a cd.. :-)  I think I will buy it and send to Obama!  New words to an old Richie Valens song.   From the late 50s to today ... it's a hit again.

I don't know if this is "for real" but I do like what he has to say -- no, I'm not going to snopes to check it out -- The person who wrote this one is really feed up with all the crap that is being discussed to solve our debt problems.   Another part of this same issue is the changing of the Federal retirement calculations for retirement pay from the high 3 years to the high 5 years.  What's next, changes to the veterans benefits?  There does not seen to be any discussion about changes the Congressional benefits.

1.      As a career politician, you have been on the public dole for FIFTY YEARS?

2.      I have been paying Social Security taxes for 48 YEARS (since I was 15 years old. I am now 63)?

3.      My Social Security payments, and those of millions of other Americans, were safely tucked away in an interest bearing account for decades until you political pukes decided to raid the account and give OUR money to a bunch of zero ambition losers in return for votes, thus bankrupting the system and turning Social Security into a Ponzi scheme that would have made Bernie Madoff proud?

4.      Recently, just like Lucy & Charlie Brown, you and your ilk pulled the proverbial football away from millions of American seniors nearing retirement and moved the goalposts for full retirement from age 65 to age 67.  NOW, you and your shill commission is proposing to move the goalposts YET AGAIN?

5.      I, and millions of other Americans, have been paying into Medicare from Day One, and now you morons propose to change the rules of the game.  Why?  Because you idiots mismanaged other parts of the economy to such an extent that you need to steal money from Medicare to pay the bills?

6.      I, and millions of other Americans, have been paying income taxes our entire lives, and now you propose to increase our taxes yet again.  Why?  Because you incompetent bastards spent our money so profligately that you just kept on spending even after you ran out of money.  Now, you come to the American taxpayers and say you need more to pay of YOUR debt?

To add insult to injury, you label us "greedy" for calling "bull****" on your incompetence.

Well, Captain Bull***, I have a few questions for YOU?

1.      How much money have you stolen from the American taxpayers during your pathetic 50-year political career?

2.      At what age did you retire from your pathetic political career, and how much are you receiving in annual retirement benefits from the American taxpayers?

3.      How much do you pay for YOUR government provided health insurance?

4.      What cuts in YOUR retirement and healthcare benefits are you proposing in your disgusting deficit reduction proposal, or, as usual, have you exempted yourself and your political cronies?

It is you, Captain Bull****, and your political co-conspirators who are "greedy."  It is you and they who have bankrupted  America and stolen the American dream from millions of loyal, patriotic taxpayers.  And for what?  Votes.

     Where to begin.
     Simpson doesn't apparently understand the program that it has been his life's mission to destroy. Collecting Social Security isn't a gift. You pay into it all your life, and then when you get old, you get your turn to collect. But his perspective indicates something even more vile: a belief that people's sole source of income, their very livelyhood, is some sort of mass generosity. It isn't. Social Security is a deal. A new sort of deal that didn't exist before FDR created it. Instead of working all your life and then spending your elder years destitute, why not take care of the old people now and then when you get old, you'll get yours. It's a deal, not a handout.
     I don't see how you can reach consensus with someone like this. There is no middle ground between people who think Social Security is a government handout and reality. To malign people who have worked their entire lives and kept their end of the bargain, he says to them, essentially "you're beat." You cant negotiate with a guy like that. He doesn't believe in keeping his end of the deal. In fact, there is a word for people who take money and then don't hold up their end of a bargain: a thief. I say it is that person who is truly greedy.

Summary of the eRumor:  This is a forwarded email that claims that the song Rudolf the Red Nosed Reindeer was written by a widower by the name of Bob May and that it was a Christmas gift for his 4 year old daughter. The Truth:       The popular Christmas story of "Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer" was written by Robert L. May in 1939.  According to editorial reviews at both the Amazon and Barnes and Nobel web sites, the book was written at the request of May's employer, Montgomery Ward & Co. for a give away promotion.  That year Montgomery Wards department stores distributed 2,400,000 copies of the book.      Various biographies on the internet confirm that May had a wife, Evelyn, who died in 1938 and say that he created the character of Rudolf to bring hope and comfort to his grieving daughter, Barbara.      The story of Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer has been released world wide in twenty-five languages.       In 1949 Johnny Marks, May's brother-in-law, adapted the story to music and Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer was immortalized by singing cowboy star, Gene Autry.  Over two million copies of the recording sold.

The True Story of Rudolph A man named Bob May, depressed and brokenhearted, stared out his drafty apartment window into the chilling December night. His 4-year-old daughter Barbara sat on his lap quietly sobbing.  Bob's wife, Evelyn, was dying of cancer.  Little Barbara couldn't understand why her mommy could never come home.  Barbara looked up into her dad's eyes and asked, "Why isn't Mommy just like everybody else's Mommy?"  Bob's jaw tightened and his eyes welled with tears.  Her question brought waves of grief, but also of anger.  It had been the story of Bob's life.  Life always had to be different for Bob. In an unprecedented gesture of kindness, the CEO of Wards returned all rights back to Bob May.  The book became a best seller.  Many toy and marketing deals followed and Bob May, now remarried with a growing family, became wealthy from the story he created to comfort his grieving daughter.  But the story doesn't end there either. Obamas Medal of Honor Salute that Didnt Happen for Sgt. Giunta

When Staff Sgt. Salvatore Giunta received his historic Medal of Honor last week, he did not receive the Presidential salute from Barack Obama.  Instead, he got a hug, and an awkward one at that.  But thats not all, he referred to the SGT. as "Sal"  and at this rare and solemn ceremony, quipped I really like this guy.  The man thinks everything is about him.

In an article by Rees Lloyd, he explains not only is Sgt. Giunta the first living American soldier to receive the Medal of Honor since the Vietnam War, he is first to not be saluted by his Commander in Chief, as far as anyone knows.  Here are snippets of that article:

     It is a tradition in the military for all military personnel, no matter how high their rank, including the Commander-in-Chief, to salute a holder of the Medal of Honor no matter how lowly his or her rank.  If General David Petraeus was to encounter Sgt. Giunta, it would be the General who would salute the enlisted man, as a sign of respect for that soldiers extraordinary bravery, but also to show respect to all those who have received the Medal of Honor

And, as far as is known, it is tradition that every President who has had the honor to present the Medal of Honor to a living recipient, has shown humility, respect, and national pride in that recipient by stepping back and rendering a salute

It is as if he loathes the nation he was so desperate to lead, and be loved by, Messiah-like. It is of a piece with his constant misquoting of the Declaration of Independence by leaving out the words endowed by their Creator when speaking of unalienable rights.

Obama will bow to Saudi Kings but wont salute an extraordinary American hero.  Incredible! You and I never get over being shocked at this Presidents lack of respect for our Military so just remember back to the first nightthe inaugural night, when Obama and his wife skipped the Salute to Heroes Inaugural Ball, the first and only president to miss the event since the Balls inception in 1953.

     WASHINGTON (Dec. 14) -- America's neighborhoods became more integrated last year than during any time in at least a century as a rising black middle class moved into fast-growing white areas in the South and West.
     Still, ethnic segregation in many parts of the U.S. persisted, particularly for Hispanics.
     Segregation among blacks and whites fell in roughly three-quarters of the nation's 100 largest metropolitan areas as the two racial groups spread more evenly between inner cities and suburbs, according to recent census data.
     The findings are expected to be reinforced with fresh census data being released Tuesday on race, migration and economics. The new information is among the Census Bureau's most detailed releases yet for neighborhoods.
     "It's taken a Civil Rights movement and several generations to yield noticeable segregation declines for blacks," said William H. Frey, a demographer at the Brookings Institution who reviewed the census data. "But the still-high levels of black segregation in some areas, coupled with uneven clustering patterns for Hispanics, suggest that the idea of a post-racial America has a way to go."
     The race trends also hint at the upcoming political and legal wrangling over the 2010 census figures, to be published in the spring. The data will be used to reallocate congressional districts, drawing new political boundaries. New Hispanic-dominated districts could emerge, particularly for elected positions at the state and local level. States are required under the Voting Rights Act to respect the interests of minority voting blocs, which tend to support Democratic candidates.
     Milwaukee, Detroit and Syracuse, N.Y., were among the most segregated, all part of areas in the Northeast and Midwest known by some demographers as the "ghetto belt." On the other end of the scale, cities that were least likely to be segregated included Fort Myers, Fla., Honolulu, Atlanta and Miami.
     Hispanic integration was mixed. There was less Hispanic-white segregation in cities and suburbs in many large metros such as Buffalo, Washington, D.C., and Chicago, according to preliminary census figures. But in many smaller neighborhoods, large numbers of more recently arrived Hispanic immigrants are believed to be clustering together for social support, experts said.
     The findings on segregation are partly based on a demographic index that tracks the degree to which racial groups are evenly spread between city and suburb. The index ranges from 0 to 100, with 60 or above generally considered highly segregated. That index found that for large U.S. metros in 2009, the black-white segregation reading was 27, down from 33 in 2000 and the lowest in generations.
     Other findings:
     -Overall, Asians showed less residential segregation from whites compared with blacks and Hispanics, but results varied widely by geography. Asians were most segregated in large metros such as Greensboro, N.C., and Stockton, Calif. They were most integrated in Phoenix, Washington, D.C., and Las Vegas, due partly to the movement of more affluent Asians to suburbs.
     -New Orleans was among metros with the largest decline in city-suburb segregation among blacks and whites since 2000, due largely to the exodus of low-income blacks from the city after Hurricane Katrina.
     -Other large metros showing less segregation included those with technology-based economies, such as Boston, Seattle, Houston, Austin, Tex., and San Francisco, which attracted middle- and upper-income blacks to their suburbs.
     Still, the recent gains in racial integration are somewhat limited, said John Logan, a sociologist at Brown University who has studied residential segregation. He noted that black-white segregation remained generally high in areas of the Northeast and Midwest. In those areas, there is slow population growth and white flight from increasingly minority neighborhoods is still common.

     As for Hispanics and Asians, while residential movement out of ethnic neighborhoods has been increasing, those numbers have generally been surpassed by the arrival of new immigrants into traditional enclaves.
     "The political implications of these trends are great in the long run - majority black districts will become harder to sustain, while more majority Hispanic districts will emerge, especially for state and local positions," Logan said.
     The figures come from previous censuses and the 2009 American Community Survey, which samples 3 million households.
     Due to incomplete 2009 data, the analysis of racial segregation omits seven metro areas: Sarasota, Fla., Greenville, S.C., Harrisburg, Pa., Jackson, Miss., McAllen, Texas, Portland, Maine, and Poughkeepsie, N.Y.
