1st & 2nd Amendments - "On False Prophets, Demons and Demagogues"
"It is frequently said that speech that is intentionally provocative and therefore invites physical retaliation can be punished or suppressed. Yet, plainly no such general proposition can be sustained. Quite the contrary. ... The provocative nature of the communication does not make it any the less expression. Indeed, the whole theory of free expression contemplates that expression will in many circumstances be provocative and arouse hostility. The audience, just as the speaker, has an obligation to maintain physical restraint." -- Thomas I. Emerson

Last week, two friends and I were discussing my sense that there is a recent and sudden surge of leftist propaganda vilifying Tea-Party supporters and Conservatives generally, especially 'Consitutionalists', defenders of the 2nd Amendment, Pro-Life and States Rights advocates.
The rhetoric being hurled by prominent Democrat Party members and MSNBC muckrakers insinuates that insurrection, armed resistance, and violence is part-in-parcel with any anti-tax, anti-Big Government, anti-socialist speech ...translation: anti-administration speech is verboten!
Having failed to marginalize the growing distrust of 'his' regime's plans to 'fundamentally transform' America, he and his fellow travelers' jack-boot fear-mongering exposes their fears of losing momentum in Congress before a repudiation at the polls on November 2nd.
Our conversations were spurred by their having visited this blog, watched some 'pundit' shows on Fox News and from some MSNBC spittle. (They don't consider the likes of Rachel Maddow and Keith Olbermann as biased commentators.)
I voiced concerns that demonizing Conservatives and Traditional American Values is merely a 'smoke screen' used to minimize publicity exposing the socialist democrat agenda of the current President and his policy co-conspirators. Of particular objection by the other two are characterizations in cartoons that imply the the current President is 'out of his league' and that Conservative commentators unfairly mock his efforts to fix America's problems.
It was my suggestion that the 'toon is not demeaning and certainly doesn't rise to the level of vehemence that was so often displayed by 'left leaning' media when it routinely "bashed" President Bush (II) with a relentless and monotonous negative mantra. (Except when they fearfully sought a leader to defend us from 'the evil East' post 9.11 when they would have willingly extolled a 'Vlad the Impaler' or "The Hammer" Martel.) They suggested that the vitriolic attacks against Bush were deserved whereas the current President should not be the 'butt' of jokes. They disagree that the current President has surrounded himself with communists, marxists and former radicals implied by this 'bumper sticker.'

The didn't agree that Bill Ayers is a friend of the current President now or in the past and denied strongly that the current President associates with communists, marxists or self described revolutionaries, ideologues, or an unrepentant domestic terrorist bomber. Though I defer on understanding his relationships, it was my impression that the two may have been, at some point, mesmerized by "The One."
'Judge me by the people with whom I surround myself.' -- 2008 [Videos of which are disappearing from the Net. Why am I not surprised?]
It's not suprising that a new (Plum Book) hasn't been issued. The Plum Book is used to identify presidentially appointed positions within the Federal Government.
Discussing the 'health care' bill with one of the gentlemen led to an interesting take on the 'inalienable right' for all to have 'free' medical care .. when I said that it is my understanding of the Constitution that government has no business bestowing benefits on people at the expense of others nor should 'not accepting' government welfare be a 'criminal' offense. The retort to my Constitution "theory" was that the Constitution needs to be changed!
The conversation brought to mind some old mean spirited political 'editorials' from presidential campaigns of old. "The term "muckraker" was taken from the fictional character in John Bunyan's Pilgrim's Progress, a man who was consigned to rake muck endlessly, never lifting his eyes from his drudgery." (quote source: http://www.u-s-history.com/pages/h920.html) Then, "Theodore Roosevelt gave the muckrakers their creative name."

Of course, like my two friends, the 'tired cliché' tactic of the "race card" had to be thrown in, weak defense that it is: "There are two things going on here and one thing is certainly that," Klein said. "One thing is he is African-American, but that his name is Barack Hussein Obama." Klein's statements are perfect examples of the phrase "standing on feet of clay" as James Joyce coined, "They discovered to their vast discomfiture that their idol had feet of clay, after placing him upon a pedestal."

Coincidentally, on Fr.23Apr10, Glenn Beck discussed two examples of vicious and personal political editorials from the 1800's ... see the video below:
"Glenn Beck Show - Friday April 23, 2010 - Free Speech Under Attack"

examples: "..the 1800 election reached a level of personal animosity seldom equaled in American politics. The Federalists attacked the fifty-seven-year-old Jefferson as a godless Jacobin who would unleash the forces of bloody terror upon the land. With Jefferson as President, so warned one newspaper, "Murder, robbery, rape, adultery, and incest will be openly taught and practiced, the air will be rent with the cries of the distressed, the soil will be soaked with blood, and the nation black with crimes." Others attacked Jefferson's deist beliefs as the views of an infidel who "writes aghast the truths of God's words; who makes not even a profession of Christianity; who is without Sabbaths; without the sanctuary, and without so much as a decent external respect for the faith and worship of Christians."
Jefferson called the Federalists a prigarchy, a play on the words "prig" and "aristocracy," .. . The Federalists .. desperately exposed the President's alleged relations with his slave, Sally Hemings, as a national scandal." (quoted from http://millercenter.org/academic/americanpresident/jefferson/essays/biography/3)
Dozens and dozens of similar hateful public attacks have been levied against other Presidents and candidates since the earliest days of our Republic. For those who support the current President, it would behoove them to dig a little deeper into American History beyond the MSNBC prattle.
As for those who are keeping an "arms length" relationship from and giving the current President 'plausible deniability' while they try, on his behalf, to vilify and discredit Americans who dissent from 'transforming America' let me suggest that they quickly review the failed play book of the former minister of the 'Reichsministerium für Volksaufklärung und Propagandaministerium' in order to see their own future past. Its followers believed also that their Führer was the Messiah that was destined to lead their country to greatness.
This administration's paranoia and its propensity for stealth and secrecy is exemplified by "Net Neutrality" legislation it is seeking. Its provisions to stifle Free Speech and criticism on the Internet is far-reaching. Once one media form is controlled, muzzling radio, print media, TV, even the pulpit is only a child's step away. Satirical parodies like the one below may be censored as could your speech in blogs.

Why would anyone, like Klein and his ilk, go "on the air" and make such preposterous statements about non-government citizenry? Is it possible that a sinister plot has been hatched? Recall that two of the Democrat candidates for the Presidency during 2008 referred, on several occasions, to "not wasting a crisis." One of those persons was elected President of the United States.
Recognizing that he and most all of his cabinet, staff and 'front-men' in Congress, media mouthpieces, and mentor George Soros are staunch anti-gun proponents. What better way to "create a crisis" than to incite some crazy person to respond to the vicious propaganda and rumors being spread about like manure on a field that they could then use as an excuse to ram gun-control legislation through Congress. It stinks yet it can fertilize the growth of a militant reaction which in turn would excuse 'crisis knee-jerk legislation', "Executive Action", and begin gun-confiscation not unlike that in Australia and England. It only takes a spark to ignite a 'rush to judgement' which has never been seen in the U.S. outside the aberration in New Orleans during the Katrina crisis.
It is no accident that the worms of deceit and dissension are crawling out of the left's bag of tricks as part of a well choreographed 'spontaneous' media blitz. Political action is usually preceded the laying of ground work among the electorate. Failing to garner public support, legislators and government leaders hunt for any excuse to mobilize against their target. What more self serving and sinister deception might be playing out before our very eyes and ears?
To force a pun, "They need to trigger a crisis."
"The only power any government has is the power to crack down on criminals. Well, when there aren't enough criminals, one makes them. One declares so many things a crime that it becomes impossible for men to live without breaking laws." -- Ayn Rand (related: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j73SsNFgBO4)
P.S. My favorite 2008 Presidential candidates, more or less in this order, were: Mike Huckabee, Alan Keyes, Fred Thompson, Chuck Baldwin and Ron Paul (issues not personality.) Like many, I voted for the single 'last-man standing' opposition candidate, who regretfully didn't have a 'locked down' block of voters.
My friends opined: "Huckabee ...He's a cracker. Keyes ...an Uncle Tom." I remain nonplussed. Obviously, the 60's term "The Man" has taken on a new meaning.
I plan to post some information on an alternate to the "straight up'n down" ballot system we use for all of our elections. There is an alternative voting scheme that allows you to vote for multiple candidates/issues and in order of preference. It might resolve frustrations that some of us have on being forced to vote for a single candidate who doesn't support our positions on issues and which could also address some of the concerns about the huge amounts of monies spent by candidates trying to become "king of the mountain."

A case in point was a 'toon, shown above left, that was posted with a list of facts about the President's voting record on the 2nd Amendment. The 'toon is a caricature which only exaggerates the profile of his bust. The drawing, in fact, is a fair likeness of the man ... easily recognizable by most of the world's populace who've been repeatedly exposed to his many orchestrated public appearances brandished by the media ... especially TV. Though he does have a tendency to jut his face up and outward leaning into a look reminiscent of ... Benito Amilcare Andrea Mussolini.

2012 - No wonder the liberal establishment hates Sarah Palin
From: burd Sent: Monday, January 04, 2010

Sarah: By Dewie Whetsell, Alaskan Fisherman; as posted in comments on Greta's article referencing the MOVEON ad about Sarah Palin.
The last 45 of my 66 years I've spent in a commercial fishing town in Alaska. I understand Alaska politics but never understood national politics well until this last year. Here's the breaking point: Neither side of the Palin controversy gets it. It's not about persona, style, rhetoric, it's about doing things. Even Palin supporters never mention the things that I'm about to mention here.
1- Democrats forget when Palin was the Darling of the Democrats, because as soon as Palin took the Governor's office away from a fellow (tough) Republican, Frank Murkowski, she tore into the Republican's "Corrupt Bastards Club" (CBC) and sent them packing. Man of them are now residing in State housing and wearing orange jump suits The Democrats reacted by skipping around the yard, throwing confetti and singing, "la la la la" (well, you know how they are).
Name another governor in this country that has ever done anything similar.
2- Now with the CBC gone, there were fewer Alaskan politicians to protect the huge, giant oil companies here. So she constructed and enacted a new system of splitting the oil profits called "ACES." Exxon (the biggest corporation in the world) protested and Sarah told them, "don't let the door hit you in the stern on your way out." They stayed,
and Alaska residents went from being merely wealthy to being filthy rich.
and Alaska residents went from being merely wealthy to being filthy rich.
Of course, the other huge international oil companies meekly fell in line. Again, give me the name of any other governor in the country that has done anything similar.
3- The other thing she did when she walked into the governor's office is she got the list of State requests for federal funding for projects, known as "pork." She went through the list, took 85% of them and placed them in the "when-hell-freezes-over" stack. She let locals know that if we need something built, we'll pay for it ourselves. Maybe she figured she could use the money she got from selling the previous governor's jet because it was extravagant. Maybe she could use the money she saved by dismissing the governor's cook (remarking that she could cook for her own family), giving back the State vehicle issued to her, maintaining that she already had a car, and dismissing her State provided security force (never mentioning - I imagine - that she's packing heat herself.) I'm still waiting to hear the names of those other governors.
4- Now, even with her
much-ridiculed "gosh and golly" mannerism, she also managed to put together a totally new approach to getting a natural gas pipeline built which will be the biggest private construction project in the history of North America. No one else could do it although they tried. If that doesn't impress you, then you're trying too hard to be unimpressed while watching her do things like this while baking up a batch of brownies with her other hand..

No one else could do it although they tried. 5- For 30 years, Exxon held a lease to do exploratory drilling at a place called Point Thompson. They made excuses the entire time why they couldn't start drilling. In truth they were holding it like an investment. No governor for 30 years could make them get started... This summer, she told them she was revoking their lease and kicking them out..They protested and threatened court action. She shrugged and reminded them that she knew the way to the court house. Alaska won again.
6- President Obama wants the nation to be on 25% renewable resources for electricity by 2025. Sarah went to the legislature and submitted her plan for Alaska to be at 50% renewables by 2025. We are already at 25%.

I can give you more specifics about things done, as opposed to style and persona. Everybody wants to be cool, sound cool, look cool. But that's just a cover-up. I'm still waiting to hear from liberals the names of other governors who can match what mine has done in two and a half years. I won't be holding my breath.
By the way, she was content to return to AK after the national election and go to work, but the haters wouldn't let her. Now these adolescent screechers are obviously not scuba divers. And no one ever told them what happens when you continually jab and pester a barracuda. Without warning, it will spin around and tear your face off. Shoulda known better.
You have just read the truth about Sarah Palin that sends the media, along with the democrat party, into a wild uncontrolled frenzy to discredit her. I guess they are only interested in skirt chasers, dishonesty, immoral people, liars, womanizers, murderers, and bitter ex-presidents' wives.
So "You go, Girl." I only wish the men in Washington had your guts, determination, honesty, and morals.

2010 - values: Palin Backs 3rd-Party Candidate in N.Y. House Race
Newsmax.com, Friday, October 23, 2009
Former Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin has endorsed a third-party candidate over the GOP-backed contender in New York's congressional special election, saying her own party has abandoned its core values.
The former Alaska governor, who was Arizona Sen. John McCain's running-mate last year, said Thursday she was backing Conservative Party candidate Doug Hoffman over Republican Assemblywoman Dierdre Scozzafava in the 23rd Congressional District race.
Palin said Hoffman, a businessman, stands for Republican principles – smaller government, lower taxes and a commitment to individual liberty – and that Scozzafava is more aligned with Democrats.
The offseason race to replace former Rep. John McHugh, whom President Barack Obama named as his Army secretary, has drawn national attention to a growing splinter between Republican moderates and conservatives who say they want the party to return its core values.
"The Republican Party today has decided to choose a candidate who more than blurs the lines, and there is no real difference between the Democrat and the Republican in this race," Palin said in a post on her Facebook page Thursday night.
Democrat Bill Owens, a Plattsburgh lawyer and retired Air Force captain, is also running. An Oct. 15 survey by Siena College showed Owens with 33 percent, Scozzafava with 29 percent and Hoffman with 23 percent. The poll of 617 likely voters had a margin of error of plus or minus 3.9 percentage points.
Scozzafava has been endorsed by the National Rifle Association and former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich, but she's been criticized by some conservatives for her support for abortion rights, same-sex marriage and other issues.
Scozzafava spokesman Matt Burns said a vote for Hoffman hurts Republicans.
Hoffman has been labeled a spoiler by some, but he's looking more like a contender lately, with support from prominent Republicans, including former U.S. Sen. Fred Thompson, former House Majority Leader Dick Armey and former presidential candidate Steve Forbes, who endorsed Hoffman on Friday.

"The other candidates in this race are far too similar in their records and stated support for much of the Democrats' agenda in Washington," Forbes said.

Palin’s Hong Kong Speech: I Can See Insanity From My Newsroom
re-posted from the original by John Ziegler On September 24, 2009 @ 12:52 pm In Media Criticism, Politics at - Big Hollywood - http://bighollywood.breitbart.com/ -
You would think at this point it would be impossible for anyone (especially me [1]) to be stunned or outraged by anything the news media tries to pull when it comes to Sarah Palin. After all, once you have been exposed to a year-long brutal beating, one tends to become numb to a simple low blow. However, the news coverage of her Hong Kong speech still managed to spark the senses on several levels.
First, it must be noted that it is rather incredible that this speech got as much play as it did. Remember, this is a private citizen from Alaska who was a “failed” vice-presidential candidate, who has given no official indication she is ever going to run for anything ever again. The speech was a private affair in a foreign country and contained no real “news” whatsoever. The news media was barred and were forced to cobble together bits and pieces of what was said from the paying customers who attended. And yet, nearly every major publication gave the event heavy play and links to FOUR of those articles were displayed prominently on the Drudge Report all day long.
This is simply extraordinary, a true testament to Palin’s enduring star power and just how much the media still desperately wants/needs their favorite target to stick around. It is also a vindication of her much maligned post-resignation strategy.
The initial element that shocked me about the coverage of this Hong Kong event (other than its magnitude) was that, at first glance, the reporting left a remarkably positive impression of the speech. The New York Times in its second paragraph reluctantly admitted that those in attendance thought, “she was articulate, well-prepared and even compelling.” You can almost see the Times reporter and editors cringing at having to allow the Old Grey Lady to be soiled by such blasphemy to the modern liberal as the acknowledgement that Palin is not a complete dunce.
The AFP service [3]’s first quote in their article was, “She was brilliant,” though they added the caveat that this assessment came from a delegate who requested their anonymity (presumably to protect the ability to make future dinner reservations in New York or Los Angeles). Meanwhile, Bloomberg [4], after quoting someone who left the speech early as calling it “boring,” at least allowed the head of the sponsoring group to call it “a great speech.”
But a closer look at the coverage reveals that Palin Derangement Syndrome is still a robust strain within the news media and that the rules for reporting on her are completely different than anyone else in public life.
The most egregious example of this probably came from Time magazine [5] whose account claimed she ducked questions (when she did indeed take them), was laced with only disparaging comments form those in attendance, and which had a top ten list of Palin “spoofs” embedded right in the middle of the web version. But an item in both the New York Times [6] and Associated Press [7] accounts of the address deserves an extra special critique.
In a classic example of the grossly distorted prism through which the Times sees all events (especially those involving Palin), their writer arbitrarily decided, with zero evidence, that the purpose of the speech was to “broaden her foreign policy credentials” for a 2012 presidential run. This then opened the door for the “reporter” to make a pronouncement that should set a new definition for the word gratuitous and a fresh standard for shoddy journalism.
The Times actually deemed it appropriate to publish: “Mrs. Palin was faulted during the campaign last year for her lack of foreign policy experience and expertise. As the governor of Alaska, she said in her own defense, she had a unique insight because ‘you can actually see Russia from land here in Alaska’ — a remark that was widely lampooned.”
This is simply a stunning statement coming from the newspaper of “record.” Palin “was faulted for her lack of foreign policy experience and expertise”? By whom? For what reason? The reality is that Palin’s foreign policy experience, while meager, was still greater than our current President whose nonexistent credentials (little more than a mysterious college trip to Pakistan) were never remotely questioned by the media, and a rudimentary examination of the Vice-Presidential debate reveals that it was Joe Biden who made all the significant foreign policy blunders.
But even that pales in comparison with to the “see Russia” gem.
First, the now infamous “Russia” statement was clearly made as an aside in Palin’s interview with Charlie Gibson. Palin knew that the vast majority of American’s had no idea of the geographical proximity of Russia to Alaska (which, until after the Civil War, was actually part of Russia) and said it in a “gee, isn’t this an interesting fact?” sort of way.
Second, what she said was 100% factually accurate and relevant. As for the “lampooning” of the remark, that was done inaccurately by a comedy show with an obvious agenda. The Times should be embarrassed (if that’s still possible) even mentioning the episode in this context and to not at least point out the full context, as I just did, is flat out Media Malpractice [1].
As pathetic as the Times reporting was, the Associated Press was downright juvenile in taking the exact same page out of the anti-Palin playbook. They wrote, “she was ridiculed during the campaign after contending her state’s proximity to Russia gave her foreign policy experience. “You can actually see Russia from land here in Alaska,” she said.
However, amazingly, the AP hardly stopped there. They ended their piece of trash with this beauty: “Hari Sevugan, a spokesman for the Democratic National Committee, said Tuesday the group knew little about Palin’s speech. ‘We’re curious as to what she’s willing to say in private but not in public,’ Sevugan said. ‘Are there other countries that she can see from her window that she doesn’t want us to know about?’”
This is truly astonishing. Forgetting that the DNC feels like it needs to use old, factually empty, Saturday Night Live skits to ridicule a private citizen, how absurd is it that the Associated Press has no problem ending their “report” on Palin’s speech with a blatantly inaccurate quote from a highly partisan source without even at least a mention that Palin never came close to saying anything about seeing other countries from her “window.”
This issue is a particular pet peeve of mine. After the election I paid a lot of money for a controversial Zogby poll [10] which exposed that 87% of Obama voters wrongly thought that Sarah Palin had said she could she Russia from her “house” when it was actually Tina Fey who had said that on SNL. Then, after I appeared on The View [11], I was interviewed on Barbara Walters’ radio show and, incredibly, she revealed that even she was under the delusion [12] that Sarah Palin had actually said that. Unfortunately, even some “conservative” commentators have bought at least partially into this myth.
In the coverage of Palin’s speech we see some of the many spoiled fruits of both the insidious nature of the news media and of conservatives being either unwilling or simply unable to win even the easiest of battles. If a year later we still can’t correct the record about a simple factual statement Sarah Palin made about the geographic location of her home state, how the hell can the truth win any argument?!
While it’s obviously the media’s fault that this lie has become such a large part of the Palin mythology, I have been disappointed with the timid response of conservatives on this issue and others like it. My guess is that it is because we can’t believe that people really believe this crap (trust me, the evidence is overwhelming that they do) and that , with only occasional access to talk radio and Fox News, it is just too hard to correct so we move on to other more pressing matters.
While this view is understandable, it is also remarkably shortsighted. Much like Obama was elected largely because Republicanism was killed by a series of unreputed legends over the previous ten years (Clinton was impeached for sex, Bush stole Florida, Bush lied about WMD in Iraq, Bush caused Katrina, Republicans caused the economic meltdown, etc.), the same death by a thousand lies could befall Palin.
Regardless of your view of her, our side just doesn’t have nearly enough talent to allow anyone like her to be needlessly taken out. On the bright side, the outrageous coverage of Palin’s first major post resignation speech proves that the news media is convinced that they haven’t yet finished the job.

Now the U.S. Owes $175+ Trillion Dollars! (25Sep17) Up daily since o'tax'n spend was elected!
"The American Republic will endure, until politicians realize they can bribe the people with their own money."
Click Here for videos, graphs, movie & U.S. National Debt totals.
3 years ago: The Debt ~ $125T+! Then Obama: Up $22T+ in only 3 years! $22T to $26T+ by 2015! Since November 2011 to January 2013 he has added $2 Trillion to the deficit! States' Unfunded: $3.2T+! (Dec10) From Jan'09 the deficit: $10.2T→$14.6T up $4.3T/42%! -- Federal unfunded liabilities total $84 trillion .. equal to 5.7 percent of the present value of all future GDP, which translates into about 31 percent of the long run federal revenue estimate,” the report states. “Thus federal revenues would have to rise immediately and permanently to 24.1 percent of GDP to cover the fiscal imbalance.” (source: http://dailycaller.com/2012/07/16/report-federal-unfunded-liabilities-total-84-trillion/)
Many Americans actually pay $1 out of ever $2 earned to some form of tax while ~50% of people pay no taxes! Do you pay your bills? The Fed takes $3 in and spends $5. Debt per citizen: $51,985 - Debt per taxpayer: $142,513! (13Dec12)
A trillion seconds pass in 31,688 years. At $1/sec it would take 41,194 years just to pay off o'tax'n spend's new Feb12-Feb13 added debt - 538,696 years to pay only the national debt or 4,404,632 years to settle the debt+unfunded liabilities!
"Over the last four years our national debt has risen nearly $6 trillion, and just last week the debt topped an astounding $16 trillion. To put that in perspective, $16 trillion is enough money to fund the US military, along with the military of every NATO country combined… for the next sixteen years! Government spending is projected to hit $3.8 trillion this year alone. Even after every tax dollar paid by Americans has been counted, the government will still overspend by another $1.13 trillion. Every single second of the day our government spends over $12,000. So in the time it takes you to read this article, roughly five minutes, our government has spent $3.6 million. It take four seconds for the government to spend what the average American earns in an entire year." (source: by Tim Phillips 17Sep12 at TownHall.com)
-- Alexis de Tocqueville [Alexis Charles Henri Maurice Clerel, le Comte de Tocqueville] (1805-1859) French historian
The U.S. Deficit in 2007 was $9,007,653,372,262.48
The federal government has accumulated more new debt -- $3.22 trillion ($3,220,103,625,307.29) — during the tenure of the 111th Congress than it did during the first 100 Congresses combined, according to official debt figures published by the U.S. Treasury."

| "Firearms stand next in importance to the Constitution itself. They are the American people's liberty teeth and keystone under independence … From the hour the Pilgrims landed, to the present day, events, occurrences, and tendencies prove that to insure peace, security and happiness, the rifle and pistol are equally indispensable . . . the very atmosphere of firearms everywhere restrains evil interference – they deserve a place of honor with all that is good." -- George Washington |

| It has been suggested that o'who?, the clown, and 'those who surround him' are not the bumbling fools they appear to be. Nor are they one of the 'Three Stooges' but rather are shrewd implementation/drivers and fellow-travelers of policies designed to disarm the citizenry & collapse the American economy. Why? o'nocchio's grandiose scheme to "fundamentally transform America" is more than simple campaign rhetoric as can be seen by his use of "enabling acts" to circumvent the Constitution of the United States. As Ollie used to say, "Well, here's another nice mess you've gotten me into." |

"As a nation we have been asleep for years. Lulled by affluence and self-indulgent apathy, our collective awareness has grown dim. This has created an opening for our enemies, one that may ultimately prove fatal. This is the truth and what we do, or don't do, will determine the consequences, for better or worse. It is time to decide." -- truthandcons.blogspot.com
