     I didn't say it. Morgan Freeman said it. In an interview with NPR to promote his latest film, The Magic of Belle Isle, the popular Oscar-winning actor said that people "conveniently forget that Barack had a mama, and she was white - very white American, Kansas, middle of America.  There was no argument about who he is or what he is. America's first black president hasn't arisen yet. He's not America's first black president - he's America's first mixed-race president."
     Freeman implied that it's Obama's white side that's the problem.  This clearly fits the definition of racism: an ideology of racial superiority and hierarchy.

     Freeman wasn't the first person to comment on the blackness of President Obama.  A TIME magazine opinion piece from 2007 carried the title "Is Obama Black Enough?"  The article cited comments similar to those of Freeman:
     "'Obama's mother is of white U.S. stock.  His father is a black Kenyan," Stanley Crouch recently sniffed in a New York Daily News column entitled "What Obama Isn't: Black Like Me."  "Black, in our political and social vocabulary, means those descended from West African slaves," wrote Debra Dickerson on the liberal website Salon.

Writers like TIME and New Republic columnist Peter Beinart have argued that Obama is seen as a "good black," and thus has less of [a] following among black people.  Meanwhile, agitators like Al Sharpton are seen as the authentic "bad blacks."  Obama's trouble, asserted Beinart, is that he will have to prove his loyalty to The People in a way that "bad blacks" never have to."

     Why would Freeman and others dismiss the blackness of President Obama?  I suspect that he is blaming the president's failures on his whiteness.  If he were "authentically black," as Al Sharpton claimed he wasn't, there would be the type of changes that liberal blacks have been suggesting for a long time.
     You see, President Obama has not been liberal enough.  It's his white side that keeps him from being the radical the Left was hoping for.
     If Obama loses in November, liberals like Freeman can always say, "Well, if he had been authentically black, a phrase used to describe a real black person, we would have seen some real hope and change."
     Liberals can't stop making race the issue of our day.  Freeman is no different.  While lamenting that race has become an issue, he can't stop talking about it. "When Barack was elected president," Freeman went on to say, "a good portion of the country broke into tears because it was proof that we are really Americans - that we are who we say we are.  And I thought at the time, okay, we can pretty much stop talking about race here in this country, and concentrate on growth.  Well, it didn't turn out that way quite."
     Yeah, because guys like you keep bringing it up!

      National Review writer John Derbyshire is under fire for a column essentially urging white parents to talk to their children about staying away from black people they don't know.
      "The Talk: Nonblack Version" is a breakdown of the lessons Derbyshire says he's taught his children about race, similar to "the talk" or "the code" many black parents have spoken of having with their children in the wake of Trayvon Martin's death.
      Derbyshire's column, published Thursday in Taki's Magazine, states that "many traits are very different for black and white Americans," such as "school disciplinary measures, political corruption and criminal convictions."
      There is "a small cohort of blacks" - Derbyshire estimates 5 percent - that is "ferociously hostile to whites" and a larger number that will "go along passively if the 5 percent take leadership in some event."
      "They will do this out of racial solidarity, the natural willingness of most human beings to be led, and a vague feeling that whites have it coming," he wrote.
      But the portion of his column that appears to have drawn most of the outrage are the following "common sense" items:

(10a) Avoid concentrations of blacks not all known to you personally.
(10b) Stay out of heavily black neighborhoods.
(10c) If planning a trip to a beach or amusement park at some date, find out whether it is likely to be swamped with blacks on that date (neglect of that one got me the closest I have ever gotten to death by gunshot).
(10d) Do not attend events likely to draw a lot of blacks.
(10e) If you are at some public event at which the number of blacks suddenly swells, leave as quickly as possible.
(10f) Do not settle in a district or municipality run by black politicians.
(10g) Before voting for a black politician, scrutinize his/her character much more carefully than you would a white.
(10h) Do not act the Good Samaritan to blacks in apparent distress, e.g., on the highway.
(10i) If accosted by a strange black in the street, smile and say something polite but keep moving.

      Derbyshire told ThinkProgress the piece was not meant as satire but "social commentary."  Calls are building for his firing from National Review, which has distanced itself from the piece.  In a brief online post late Friday, National Review editor Rich Lowry described it as "appalling" but did not say whether Derbyshire would be fired.
      "Needless to say, no one at National Review shares Derbyshire's appalling view of what parents supposedly should tell their kids about blacks in this instantly notorious piece here," Lowry wrote.
      National Review columnist Jonah Goldberg wrote Friday evening on Twitter he found Derbyshire's column, "fundamentally indefensible and offensive.  I wish he hadn't written it."
     In a follow-up tweet, Goldberg said no one at National Review saw the piece before it was published in Taki's Magazine.

     National Review has fired John Derbyshire in the wake of his controversial article "The Talk: Nonblack Version," published Friday in Taki's Magazine.

     Written in response to articles on "the talk" some black parents have had with their children in the wake of the Trayvon Martin shooting, Derbyshire described some of the advice he allegedly gave his own children on the matter.
     Including lessons like "Avoid concentrations of blacks not all known to you personally," the article has drawn fire from both sides of the aisle for being racist.  Some of his other lessons include:

National Review's editor Rich Lowry released a statement Saturday evening explaining the why they fired Derbyshire:

Anyone who has read Derb in our pages knows he's a deeply literate, funny, and incisive writer. I direct anyone who doubts his talents to his delightful first novel, "Seeing Calvin Coolidge in a Dream," or any one of his "Straggler" columns in the books section of NR.  Derb is also maddening, outrageous, cranky, and provocative.  His latest provocation, in a webzine, lurches from the politically incorrect to the nasty and indefensible.  We never would have published it, but the main reason that people noticed it is that it is by a National Review writer.  Derb is effectively using our name to get more oxygen for views with which we'd never associate ourselves otherwise.  So there has to be a parting of the ways.  Derb has long danced around the line on these issues, but this column is so outlandish it constitutes a kind of letter of resignation.  It's a free country, and Derb can write whatever he wants, wherever he wants.  Just not in the pages of NR or NRO, or as someone associated with NR any longer.

     The shooting of Trayvon Martin has been a racial rallying cry across the nation.  Most blacks are accusing George Zimmerman of purposely shooting Trayvon because he was black.  To date, there is conflicting evidence so I'm not passing judgment on the case, just those who immediately jumped on the race issue before they knew all of the facts.

     I've seen this happen too many times.  Whenever a white or Hispanic person commits a crime against a black person, it's instantly labeled a hate crime and the black community goes on a warpath.

     But what happens when a black person commits a crime against a white person?  You rarely ever hear any suggest it was a hate crime.  Such is the case of a 78 year old man in East Toledo, Ohio.

    


     According to multiple news reports, Dallas Watts, is a thin frail looking 78 year old white man.  He was walking home from a nearby Gas Express Mart last Saturday afternoon when he was confronted by six black juveniles ranging in age from 11 to 17.  Watts recalled one of the youth telling the others to "take him down", to which he replied,

     "Why you picking on me?  Remember Trayvon.  Why you picking on me?"

     Again Watts heard the one youth tell the others to take him down at which time they began to physically assault him.  The black teens hit and kicked Watts and stole the items he had purchased at the store.  During the attack, Watts heard one of the black kids tell the others to get the white man and then told him that this was for Trayvon and then say to kill the white man.

     Watts said he mentioned Trayvon Martin in a defensive way thinking that might save him from the attack.  However, police are wondering if the youth took Watt's statement about Trayvon as threatening, resulting in the increased attack upon Watts.

     In the various reports I read, none of them mentioned anything about the possibility of this being a hate crime involving race.  In fact, one of the articles stated that the police were NOT considering the attack on Dallas Watts to be a hate crime.

     But if the colors were switched and it was a group of six white kids that beat up and robbed a 78 year old black man, and there were the comments about Trayvon or statements like kill the black, then it would have been labeled a hate crime immediately and both Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton would have flown to Toledo in less than a day.

     In America, racial hate crimes are extremely one sided.  If a white commits a crime against a black, it's a hate crime.  If a black commits a crime against a white, it's just an ordinary crime and bad luck for the white person.  It makes you kind of wonder who is really being discriminated against in America today.

     As for Dallas Watts, he said that he intends to purchase a gun and apply for a conceal carry permit to carry it with him when he leaves his house.  He also said that the incident has completely changed his outlook on humanity.

LANCASTER -- A 24-year-old alleged gang member wanted for the Friday robbery and shooting death of a Lancaster computer store owner was arrested today in South Los Angeles, the Sheriff's Department said.

     Timothy Johnson, who was on parole, was captured at about 1 a.m. in South Los Angeles, according to a department statement.

     It was not immediately known where or what led to Johnson's arrest, said Sgt. Pauline Panis of the Sheriff's Headquarters Bureau. 

     Reed Lewis Keith, 58, was fatally shot in his eChaps Computer and More store on Avenue K at 20th Strest West about 4 p.m. Friday. On Saturday, detectives named Johnson as their suspect. 

     "Most of the property stolen was recovered at a nearby residence," Deputy Guillermina Saldana of the Sheriff's Headquarters Bureau said. 

     Members of a sheriff's department Special Weapons And Tactics team thought they had Johnson surrounded at the address in the 43000 block of Grange Street in the Antelope Valley late Friday, but he got away.

Just out of curiosity, I decided to test out the DWL theory that race tells us nothing about violent crime in Chicago.

According to the 2010 Census, African-Americans and Hispanics are 61.3 percent of Chicago's population. Whites and Asians are 38.4 percent.

Homicide

96.8 percent of homicide in Chicago is committed by African-Americans and Hispanics.

Rape

Robbery

Of the 2,759 robberies committed in Chicago in 2009, 2,352 of those robberies were committed by African-Americans, which means that African-Americans are responsible for 85.2 percent of robbery in Chicago.

Aggravated Assault

It looks to me like 96.8 percent of homicide, 93.3 percent of rape, 96 percent of robbery, and 91.8 percent of aggravated assault – 94.5 percent of violent crime in Chicago - is committed by African-Americans and Hispanics.

If African-Americans and Hispanics were removed from Chicago, 95 percent of violent crime in Chicago would disappear along with them.

How does race have nothing to do with crime?  Why does the media pretend there isn't a connection here?

The following was forwarded to me by a friend and retired FBI agent. Through various organizations (and good ole boy network) he keeps in close touch with former and still active associates in the FBI. Your choice - wait for the facts or join the parade.

A good friend of mine who was a ranking official with the FBI in Florida sent me this analysis of the captioned incident. I do not know his sources but this is the third similar report I have received from other former colleagues. How much spin is being put on this by the media which borders on orgasmic by them as they whip up the flames of racial divide. I am very disappointed in the skewing of the facts by the racial antagonist but understand the refusal by the police in disclosing certain facts prematurely. I am, however afraid that oversight investigations will be subjected to additional spin by The Prince of Lies and his followers. Pray for all involved. My comments are set out above my former colleagues, set out below: "This whole Trayvon thing has had me wondering if the Sanford Police Dept was incompetent or there was more to the story. Well, as Paul Harvey said, here is the rest of the story: Trayvon Martin was a punk. He did not live in Sanford, he was there visiting his father, after he was suspended from school in Miami for Marijuana possession. He had been suspended 3 different times from school and was caught one time in possession of jewelry and a screwdriver (burglary tool) that the Miami police believe had been stolen. No charges yet because the Miami police cannot determine where the jewelry came from. George Zimmerman had every right to suspect him of being up to no good when he saw him with his hood on as a stranger to the neighborhood. After all, there had only been 425 police visits to the neighborhood in the last year. By the way let's call it what it is, a ghetto with gates. Not the nice "gated community" that the press wants you to believe it was. Zimmerman called the police immediately after spotting him and was following him to see what he was up to. There had been a number of burglaries in the neighborhood and here was a suspicious person. The police report indicates that Zimmerman lost sight of him and was returning to his van when Trayvon came up behind him and asked him if he had a problem. Zimmerman responded he did not and little innocent Trayvon who was only out to visit the candy store, said " you do now" and proceeded to sucker punch him in the nose. Trayvon, 6' 3", then pounced on top of Zimmerman, 5' 8" and proceeded to beat the crap out of him and slammed his head on the concrete sidewalk. Zimmerman cried out with several screams for help as Trayvon beat the crap out of him. The police report has the interview of witnesses who saw all of this happening. Zimmerman, in self defense, pulled out the gun and shot Trayvon in the chest. Within 2 minutes the police arrived. Trayvon was dead, Zimmerman was bleeding from the nose and the back of his head. Swollen lip and many facial cuts Paramedics arrived and treated him, he declined to go to the hospital, but did the next day. Because Trayvon was a juvenile, there is no criminal record. This information about his past was leaked by someone who was concerned that the public needed to know since Al Sharpton and other national troublemakers were in Sanford trying to stir up a lynch mob. Even the Black Panthers have a $10,000 reward for the arrest of Zimmerman. So you can now see why the Sanford Police Department did not charge Zimmerman with murder. The evidence to include 911 calls, witness interviews, eyewitness accounts and more is why they did what they did. Let's keep our fingers crossed that the FBI investigation is not influenced by these outside sources, including Obama, who said, if he had a son he would be Trayvon. "
