     Below is a brief history of Obama's record on abortion. From the votes he has cast to his actions as president, Obama has staked out radical positions, appointed executives from the highest levels of the abortion industry to direct public policy and spent your hard-earned tax dollars to promote abortion. Note the contrast between Obama's positions and public opinion. It's clear who the real extremist is.

Barack Obama: Extreme On Abortion
As an Illinois state senator:

• Barack Obama twice voted "Present" -- essentially "No" [1] -- on legislation to ban the gruesome late-term procedure known as partial-birth abortion. 68% of Americans supported legislation to ban partial-birth abortions. [2] But not Barack Obama.
  
• Obama twice voted "Present" on legislation requiring parental-notification for abortions. [3] 71% of Americans support parental consent legislation. [4] But not Barack Obama.
  
• Obama voted "Present" -- meaning "No" -- three times on legislation requiring that babies who survived abortions receive immediate medical treatment. [5] Such legislation is so uncontroversial that even the pro-abortion group NARAL did not oppose it. [6] But Barack Obama did. Refusing medical treatment for babies born alive -- that's extreme!

As a United States Senator:

• Voted to increase taxpayer-funded spending on contraception by $100 million. [7]
  
• Voted to provide taxpayer funding to organizations that provide and promote abortions overseas. [8]
  
• Voted to filibuster the nomination of pro-life Samuel Alito to the Supreme Court. [9]
  
• Voted to provide taxpayer funding of life-destroying embryonic stem cell research. [10]
  
• Voted against legislation that sought to prevent the transportation of minor girls by non-relatives across state lines for abortions. [11]
  
• Co-sponsored the Freedom of Choice Act, which would have declared abortion a "fundamental right" and repealed pro-life state laws, including parental notification, waiting periods and ultrasound laws. [12]

As President:

• Appointed NARAL's Legal Director Dawn Johnsen to be an Assistant Attorney General. [13]
  
• Appointed Ellen Moran, executive director of EMILY's List, to be White House Communications Director. [14]
  
• Appointed Melody Barnes, a former board member of EMILY's List and Planned Parenthood, to be Director of the White House Office of Domestic Policy. [15]
  
• Issued an executive order repealing the Mexico City Policy, thereby allowing taxpayer-funding of organizations that promote and provide abortions overseas. [16] Only 35% of Americans support spending tax dollars to provide abortions overseas. [17]
  
• Issued an executive order repealing conscience clause protections for doctors and nurses who do not want to be forced to perform abortions. [18] 77% of Americans oppose forcing medical professionals to participate in procedures or practices that violate their values. [19]
  
• Appointed pro-abortion judge Sonia Sotomayor to the Supreme Court. [20]
  
• Appointed pro-abortion Solicitor General Elena Kagan to the Supreme Court. [21]
  
• Signed Obamacare, which includes funding for abortions. [22] 56% of likely voters want Obamacare repealed. [23]
  
• Is using Obamacare to force religious institutions to pay for procedures and services that violate their values. [24] Only 36% of Americans believe churches and religious institutions should be forced to pay for contraception and abortion-inducing drugs in violation of their core values. [25]
  
• Opposed legislation to ban abortions performed solely because of the baby's sex. [26] 77% of Americans support a ban on sex-selection abortions. [27]
  
• Vice President Joe Biden refused to "second guess," much less condemn, China's brutal one-child policy, through which the communist government has forced many women to have abortions against their will. [28]

     The abortion industry has been having hard times lately, all of their own doing.  As I have often said, they do our work for us, because the evil in which they are engaged is offensive to most of our fellow citizens.  But it is hidden, and that's why it's tolerated.
     In the early 1990's I collaborated with Mark Crutcher in the book Lime 5, documenting malpractice and sexual abuse in legal abortion clinics.  Then I helped Mark publicize the results of hundreds of taped phone calls that exposed Planned Parenthood's willingness to cover up statutory rape.  Now my friend Lila Rose, whom I have encouraged over the years in her undercover work, continues to reveal more of Planned Parenthood's evils.
     I have been saying for years that the abortion industry will destroy itself, because no lie can live forever. You cannot practice vice virtuously.  If you kill children, there is no doubt that you are doing other evils.

'Redefining the Abortion Debate' By Fr. Frank Pavone, National Director, Priests for Life
     Public opinion about abortion in America can best be described as ambivalent: uncomfortable with unrestricted abortion, yet unwilling to ban it totally.
     Another word for public opinion on abortion is "stalemate."   It has not moved much over the years since Roe vs. Wade.  One time it did move was when partial-birth abortion was being debated publicly in the late 90's.  People were more willing to identify with the pro-life position during and after that debate, because the debate focused on abortion itself, rather than on abstract issues of freedom and choice.
     And it is only in the specific arena of partial-birth abortion that our nation has succeeded, at any time since Roe vs. Wade, in actually prohibiting an abortion procedure in many states and on a federal level, and have that prohibition upheld by the highest court in the land.
     When the question is, "Should we allow abortion?", the debate is unwieldy and ambiguous, catching people in a seemingly endless and wearisome maze of arguments and counterarguments.  But when the question is, "Should we allow a child to be pierced in the skull with scissors while still alive and partially delivered?", the public comes much more quickly to a consensus.  And that consensus in turn affects their view of the overall abortion question.
     Now it's time for Act 2.
     The most common abortion procedure performed after the first trimester of pregnancy is the "D and E" (Dilation and Evacuation), a procedure which is legal throughout the nation, and which the Supreme Court itself described in this way:  "The doctor grips a fetal part with the forceps and pulls it back through the cervix, continuing to pull even after meeting resistance from the cervix.  The friction causes the fetus to tear apart.  For example, a leg might be ripped off the fetus as it is pulled through the cervix and out of the woman.  The process of evacuating the fetus piece by piece continues until it has been completely removed."  (Gonzales vs. Carhart, April 18, 2007)

     Now is the time to ask the American public, whether pro-life or pro-choice, a simple question: Should dismemberment of a living child in the womb be permitted?  Let's go beyond the all-encompassing question of "Should abortion be allowed?" and ask, "Should this specific procedure, in which a child's arms and legs are ripped off, and head crushed, be allowed?"   As we saw in the partial-birth abortion debate, we will see again that many people who consider themselves "pro-choice" and who would want abortion to be generally available will nevertheless oppose this specific procedure and even work with us to prohibit it by law.   It is time to mobilize that segment of the public.
     Every abortion is wrong, no matter what method is used; every child must be protected.   We do not in any way retreat from that principle and goal.  But helping people focus on one procedure at a time is a quicker way to get there.  See http://StopDandE.com for more info.

Reformers know that the best and most effective way to change public opinion is to SHOW - in pictures - the injustice and brutality of whatever policy it is that the reformer seeks to change.  For example: It wasn't until the news media published PICTURES taken in Nazi concentration camps that Americans fully understood the evil of Adolph Hitler and his Third Reich.  Same with the Vietnam war.  Night after night the news media flooded American living rooms with PICTURES of mutilated children and the body bags carrying dead soldiers.  Wearied of those graphic images of war, the nation demanded an end.  So, too, with America's civil rights movement.  A 14-year-old African American Emmett Till whistled at a white woman.  For that "crime" he was beaten and shot to death and his killers set free.  At the funeral, his mother instructed that his casket be left open so the world could see "what they did to my boy."  The published PICTURE of Emmett Till's beaten and battered corpse changed the nation!  Do you recognize the common element in all three of those reform movements?  I can tell you in one word:  PICTURES!

That's because of the old adage: "A picture is worth a thousand words."  Well, our pictures of the butchered and mutilated bodies of tiny babies are worth more than a mere thousand words!  Without question  ... our pictures have the power to end abortion! 

But only if our fellow Americans SEE them! 

Tragically, the pro-life cause is the first social reform movement in our nation's history that "Big Media" has turned its collective back on.  Instead of working to end the injustice of killing innocent babies in abortion, "Big Media" has allied itself with "Big Abortion" and refuses to show Americans the deadly and brutal reality of abortion.  Which again is why it falls to us to SHOW our fellow Americans the truth and sheer brutality of what "choice" really means.

And that is precisely what Gospel of Life Ministries is doing through ... Our "Is This What You Mean?" Democrats Push Anti-Military, Pro-Gay, Pro-Abortion Bill Next Week! Urgent action is needed to block the Democrat's effort to undermine our Armed Forces! Democrats are willing to destabilize the military in an attempt to gain votes this November. The Senate has scheduled a vote on the National Defense Authorization Bill this Tuesday. This bill contains language that:

• Imposes open homosexuality on the U.S. military by overturning the 1993 law banning on homosexuality. This puts conservatives in a bind who want to support our national defense, but don't want to vote to overturn the ban.
• Requires military hospitals to perform abortions.
• Gives amnesty to children of illegal immigrants through the Dream Act.

      Amnesty and abortion have nothing to do with funding our national defense!   They should be vigorously debated at another time.   These are not relevant for a defense bill.   The main goal is to appease LGBT activists, open borders, and abortion industry supporters as a way of bolstering election outcomes.
      Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV) has even joined forces with the weirdo pop singer Lady Gaga, to push for gays in the military. He recently tweeted Lady Gaga telling her that he views this pro-LGBT defense bill as an important vote before the mid-term election recess.
      This effort is being pushed in spite of the fact that Congress gave the Pentagon the task of studying how lifting the ban on gays will impact military readiness. The Pentagon is expected to issue its report in December.
      Remember: There is no "right" to serve in the military. It is a privilege and the military has the duty to establish certain requirements for service. There has certainly never been any "right" of soldiers to engage in homosexual behaviors in the U.S. military.
      This legislation is dangerous to military morale, readiness and unit cohesion. Here are some of the negative results that Democrats ignore:

• A zero-tolerance policy will force straight soldiers out of the service or push them into silence. For decades, openly serving gays, lesbians and bisexuals were justly considered a threat to unit cohesion, morale and military effectiveness. They still do.
• Careers will be destroyed and promotions denied to individuals who object to homosexual conduct.
• Chaplains will be forbidden to preach from the Bible on homosexual conduct.
• Our military readiness will be diminished if the 1993 law is abolished.

      Lt. General Thomas Bostick , who is the deputy chief of staff in charge of personnel matters for the Army, admitted that if the gay ban is overturned, anyone who opposes homosexuals will be considered the same as a racist or a bigot – and will be ejected from the military if they can't "get with the program"! He claimed that individuals who object to gays on moral or religious grounds are racists!   Bostick and others will enforce a zero tolerance policy against any criticism of gay conduct!
      Keep in mind that 1,167 retired General and Flag officers have signed a statement opposing lifting the ban on homosexuals openly serving in the military! Their views should count! Sen. McCain plans to lead a filibuster and only needs 41 votes to stop this assault on our military . The LGBT/abortion supporters, however, need 60 votes to overcome McCain's objection!   Your Senators need to be encouraged to vote with Sen. McCain next week.
      The Senate could adjourn as early as October 1, so if we can block Reid's attack on our Armed Forces until then, we may have won!   But… Time is short if we are to make a difference!   You can help us right now by sending a letter of concern to your two U.S. Senators – asking them to vote against repeal of the 1993 gays in the military law and against funding abortion in military hospitals! And, please forward your letter to as many of your friends and associates as you can!  And, send your letter today!

I trembled last night when I heard the voices of American children raised in song, praising the name of Obama, the charismatic fellow who claims he is the American Messiah.

 

Yet I have heard what this man Obama says about abortion and the "mercy killing" of tiny babies who are not wanted.

 

There are so few of us left to warn you.

 

I have heard that there are 69 million Catholics in America and 70 million Evangelical Christians.  Or do you vote according to the Bible?  Where are your voices? Where is your outrage? Where is passion and your vote?

 

Do you vote based on an abortionist's empty promises and economics?

 

I have heard the words of Obama damning and mocking all of you in small towns because you "Cling to your religion."   I am a woman whose name is unknown.  My life is recorded as a work of fiction.  I have no fear of reprisal when I speak truth to you from the pages of a book.  (Though the Zion Covenant books are mocked and condemned by the Left in America.)  I am an old woman and will soon go to be with my Lord.  I have no fear for myself, but for all of you and for your children, I tremble.  I tremble at the hymns to a political leaders which your children will sing at school.  (Though even now a hymn or a prayer to God and our Lord Jesus is against the law in public school!)

 

Your vote must put a stop to what will come upon America if Barrack Obama is elected.

I pray you will personally heed this warning for the sake of your children and your grandchildren.

Last weekend a member of my fiance's family invited us over for dinner, over dinner I had a neat conversation with someone I had never met who earlier on in the day had been fortunate enough to speak one on one with a Holocaust survivor.
