Should the 2nd Amendment be repealed? (Opinion Poll)
A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.
Was this fundamental right endowed upon Americans with such importance that it was number two on the list of the Bill of Rights only because it was necessary at the time to protect our country from the tyranny of the British King, and invasion from other countries who wished to control our land and resources?
And does it still bear the same meaning today? Should it remain unfettered and uncontrolled even though we now are one of the best protected nations on the globe, and have an army of police forces, throughout the land to maintain the peace at home? Or should it be repealed completely? You decide.
A snapshot of the poll results as of approximately 8 p.m., Th.20Aug09 (rfh)
