I don't usually forward political e-mails but this one is very close to my heart and is more about Jane Fonda that politics.
Many people did not believe in the war and they had a right to disagree but no one had a right to do what she did.  I can remember watching TV and seeing her riding on an enemy tank!  I had a difficult time believing what I was seeing, I kept wondering, how could an American do that?
Her actions should have ended her career.  We can forgive her as a person (if she had ask for forgiveness) but that doesn't mean she deserves a place on the public stage.  She should have never made another film.
Please pass this along to your friends.  For Jane Fonda to obtain this title will cheapen the title for all the other women that have won it in the past.
Even if you don't pass it on, thanks for listening.

At the top is very new, and unbelievable, information. The bottom part has been around several time, but many may have never actually read it. I hope you do.
I REMEMBER THIS!!!!!  It is up to US to INFORM the generations younger than us!  This is the HARD COLD TRUTH!
People can make mistakes and live to regret their actions but do NOT PRETEND that some things DID NOT OCCUR!
IN CASE WE FORGET

She has now been chosen to play Nancy Reagan in her life story.
I am sending this one out because so many do not know this truth...
and also because she was on 3 times this week talking about her new book...
And how good she feels in her 70's... she still does not know what she did wrong..her book just may not make the best list if more people knew...

I did not like Jane Fonda then and I don't like her now.
She can lead her present life the way she wants and perhaps SHE can forget the past, but we DO NOT have to stand by without comment and see her "honored" as a "Woman of the Century."

A TRAITOR IS ABOUT TO BE HONORED.
KEEP THIS MOVING ACROSS AMERICA
This is for all the kids born in the 70's and after who do not remember, and didn't have to bear the burden that our fathers, mothers and older brothers and sisters had to bear.
Jane Fonda is being honored as one of the '100 Women of the Century.'
BARBARA WALTERS WRITES:
Unfortunately, many have forgotten and still countless others have never known how Ms. Fonda betrayed not only the idea of our country, but specific men who served and sacrificed during the Vietnam War.
The first part of this is from an F-4E pilot.
The pilot's name is Jerry Driscoll, a River Rat.
In 1968, the former Commandant of the USAF Survival School was a POW in Ho Lo Prison the ' Hanoi Hilton.'
Dragged from a stinking cesspit of a cell, cleaned, fed, and dressed in clean PJ's, he was ordered to describe for a visiting American 'Peace Activist' the 'lenient and humane treatment' he'd received.
He spat at Ms. Fonda, was clubbed, and was dragged away. During the subsequent beating, he fell forward on to the camp Commandant 's feet, which sent that officer berserk.
In 1978, the Air Force Colonel still suffered from double vision (which permanently ended his flying career) from the Commandant's frenzied application of a wooden baton.
From 1963-65, Col. Larry Carrigan was in the 47FW/DO (F-4E's). He spent 6 years in the ' Hanoi Hilton'...the first three of which his family only knew he was 'missing in action'. His wife lived on faith that he was still alive.    His group, too, got the cleaned-up, fed and clothed routine in preparation for a 'peace delegation' visit.
They, however, had time and devised a plan to get word to the world that they were alive and still survived. Each man secreted a tiny piece of paper, with his Social Security Number on it, in the palm of his hand. When paraded before Ms. Fonda and a cameraman, she walked the line, shaking each man's hand and asking little encouraging snippets like: 'Aren't you sorry you bombed babies?' and 'Are you grateful for the humane treatment from your benevolent captors?' Believing this HAD to be an act, they each palmed her their sliver of paper.
She took them all without missing a beat.. At the end of the line and once the camera stopped rolling, to the shocked disbelief of the POWs, she turned to the officer in charge and handed him all the little pieces of paper...
Three men died from the subsequent beatings. Colonel Carrigan was almost number four but he survived, which is the only reason we know of her actions that day.
I was a civilian economic development advisor in Vietnam , and was captured by the North Vietnamese communists in South Vietnam in 1968, and held prisoner for over 5 years.
I spent 27 months in solitary confinement; one year in a cage in Cambodia ; and one year in a 'black box' in Hanoi . My North Vietnamese captors deliberately poisoned and murdered a female missionary, a nurse in a leprosarium in Banme Thuot , South Vietnam , whom I buried in the jungle near the Cambodian border. At one time, I weighed only about 90 lbs. (My normal weight is 170 lbs)
We were Jane Fonda's 'war criminals....'
When Jane Fonda was in Hanoi , I was asked by the camp communist political officer if I would be willing to meet with her. I said yes, for I wanted to tell her about the real treatment we POWs received... and how different it was from the treatment purported by the North Vietnamese, and parroted by her as 'humane and lenient.'
Because of this, I spent three days on a rocky floor on my knees, with my arms outstretched with a large steel weight placed on my hands, and beaten with a bamboo cane.
I had the opportunity to meet with Jane Fonda soon after I was released. I asked her if she would be willing to debate me on TV. She never did answer me.
These first-hand experiences do not exemplify someone who should be honored as part of '100 Years of Great Women.' Lest we forget....' 100 Years of Great Women' should never include a traitor whose hands are covered with the blood of so many patriots.
There are few things I have strong visceral reactions to, but Hanoi Jane's participation in blatant treason, is one of them. Please take the time to forward to as many people as you possibly can.. It will eventually end up on her computer and she needs to know that we will never forget.

    Definition from Wikipedia at: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ambient_music
Ambient is a music genre which originated in the United Kingdom.
Developing in the 1970s, ambient stemmed from the experimental and synthesizer-oriented styles of the period, while being influenced by Kraftwerk and Klaus Schulze; nevertheless, the dance and techno music of the 1980s also played an important role in the genre. Basil Kirchin and Brian Eno are regarded as ambient's main founders. The concept of background or furniture music had already existed some time before, yet both Kirchin and Eno created ambient by fusing elements of environmental music with electronic music. Ambient's sound was additionally influenced in part by space rock and Krautrock.
As a genre, ambient focuses on creating a mood or atmosphere through synthesizers and timbral qualities. It often lacks the presence of any net composition, beat, or structured melody. Due to its relatively open style, ambient music often takes influences from many other genres, ranging from house, dub, industrial and new age, amongst several others. Since it is a relatively ambiguous term, ambient has no distinct characteristics, and its style can vary a lot. In essence, it is a term to describe any form of electronic music which puts an emphasis on tone and atmosphere over songwriting, composition and craftsmanship, hence often lacking musical structure or rhythm. Ambient music is often highly conceptual and experimental in style, while it is said to evoke an "atmospheric", "visual" or "unobtrusive" quality.
Ambient did not achieve large commercial success, being criticized as having a "boring" and "over-intellectual" sound.  Nevertheless, it has also attained a certain degree of acclaim throughout the years. It had its first wave of popularity in the 1970s, yet saw a revival towards the late-1980s with the prominence of house and techno music, growing a cult following by the 1990s.

humor - Nov. Native American Month: Indian Winter

From: porche Sent: Monday, November 05, 2012 Subject: Indian Winter
    INDIAN WINTER
It is late Fall and the Indians on a remote reservation in South Dakota asked their new chief if the coming winter was going to be cold or mild.
Since he was a chief in a modern society, he had never been taught the old secrets.  When he looked at the sky, he couldn't tell what the winter was going to be like.
Nevertheless, to be on the safe side, he told his tribe that the winter was indeed going to be cold and that the members of the village should collect firewood to be prepared.
But, being a practical leader, after several days, he got an idea.
He went to the phone booth, called the National Weather Service and asked, 'Is the coming winter going to be cold?'
'It looks like this winter is going to be quite cold,' the meteorologist at the weather service responded.
So the chief went back to his people and told them to collect even more firewood in order to be prepared.
A week later, he called the National Weather Service again.  'Does it still look like it is going to be a very cold winter?'
'Yes,' the man at National Weather Service again replied, 'it's going to be a very cold winter.'
The chief again went back to his people and ordered them to collect every scrap of firewood they could find.
Two weeks later, the chief called the National Weather Service again.  'Are you absolutely sure that the winter is going to be very cold?'
'Absolutely,' the man replied. 'It's looking more and more like it is going to be one of the coldest winters we've ever seen.'
'How can you be so sure?' the chief asked.
The weatherman replied, 'The Indians are stockpiling firewood.'

o'snoop - Gun in the house questions? 1984 is.

Yes, I've read Snopes; however, the AMA and other medical associations are filing court briefs and fighting some States' legislation which would prevent such abuses.  Why would these organizations want to gather your private RKBA information?  For whom? Why?  1984's Big Brother is real. -- rfh
From: ocz Sent: Friday, November 16, 2012 Subject: Gun in the house
    ..forwarded email messages:
When I had my gangrene gallbladder taken out and spent 10 days in the hospital for what should have been an overnight stay the insurance company kicked me out.  I had home nurse visits for two weeks and was asked if I had guns in the house.  I respond that if I did I would not tell them.  So the below has some merit.
FYI, I am passing this along... there are comments from two other people I have also been asked if we keep guns in the house.  The nurse just kinda slipped it in along with all the other regular questions.  I told her I refused to answer because it was against the law to ask.
Everyone, whether you have guns or not, should give a neutral answer so they have no idea who does and who doesn't.  My doctor asked me if I had guns in my house and also if any were loaded.  I, of course, answered yes to both questions.  Then he asked why I kept a loaded gun close to my bed.  I answered that my son, who is a certified gun instructor and also works for Homeland Security, advised me that an unloaded, locked up gun is no protection against criminal attack.
The Government now requires these questions be asked of people on Medicare, and probably everyone else.
Just passing this along for your information: I had to visit a doctor other than my regular doctor when my doctor was on vacation..  One of the questions on the form I had to fill out was: Do you have any guns in your house?  My answer was None of your damn business!
So it is out there!  It is either an insurance issue or government intervention.  Either way, it is out there and the second the government gets into your medical records (as they want to under Obamacare) it will become a major issue and will ultimately result in lock and load!!
Please pass this on to all the other retired guys and gun owners...  Thanks.
From a Vietnam Vet and retired Police Officer:
I had a doctors appointment at the local VA clinic yesterday and found out something very interesting that I would like to pass along.  While going through triage before seeing the doctor, I was asked at the end of the exam, three questions: 1. Did I feel stressed?  2. Did I feel threatened?  3. Did I feel like doing harm to someone?
The nurse then informed me that if I had answered yes to any of the questions I would have lost my concealed carry permit as it would have gone into my medical records and the VA would have reported it to Homeland Security.
Looks like they are going after the vets first.  Other gun people like retired law enforcement will probably be next.  Then when they go after the civilians, what argument will they have?  Be forewarned and be aware.  The Obama administration has gone on record as considering veterans and gun owners potential terrorists.  Whether you are a gun owner, veteran or not, YOU'VE BEEN WARNED !
If you know veterans and gun owners, please pass this on to them.  Be very cautious about what you say and to whom.
They are coming for us, so unless you're an ostrich, do not stick your head in the sand.

2nd Amendment - Louisiana voters' Second Amendment Prop. 9

    Louisiana voters choose gun rights

    Louisiana voters choose gun rights
Kudos to Louisianans who on Nov. 6  overwhelmingly voted for Proposition Two, an amendment to their state's constitution that solidifies the Second Amendment in the state of Louisiana.
The new law says that "the right to keep and bear arms is a fundamental right" and would require courts to apply  "the highest standard" of law when and if state municipalities enact laws that act in violation of the second amendment.
Critics say this measure will open the door to a flood of appeals to the courts by criminals who will seek to overturn convictions and gain access to firearms.  They also suggest that the new law will lead to a reversal of gun restrictions that are now in place, such as at schools, courthouses and churches.
Those supportive of the proposition say that the amendment is needed to make sure that judges do not undermine the second amendment because of their own personal beliefs that firearms are dangerous in the hands of law abiding citizens.
They also suggest that the trend in America is to use safety as an excuse to create more gun control laws.  We all know, that the facts show otherwise.  In areas that gun control is prominent, so is violent crime.
Louisiana is now the only state in the union to enact such a protection for its citizens.  For us gun rights supporters, Louisiana's proposition can be used as a template to further contain the acts of misguided politicians and judges who unfortunately continue to suppress gun rights across the nation, under the false assumption that gun laws keep us safe.
What makes this proposition so successful is the simplicity of it.  Propositions at the state level have failed due to the complexity of the language and the undue length of the proposals.  Louisiana made it simple.  The state constitution now says:   "The right of each citizen to keep and bear arms is fundamental and shall not be abridged infringed. but this provision shall not prevent the passage of laws to prohibit the carrying of weapons concealed on the person.   Any restriction on this right shall be subject to strict scrutiny."
This law is a win for the Constitution!  All too often, federal and state laws operate in opposition to the Constitution, even though they ought not to.  It takes courage for the citizens of Louisiana to ask that restrictions on the second amendment be carefully reviewed, so that liberty is protected at each level.
Now it is time for the rest of America to realize that the Constitution actually means something for the good.  It is not an outdated document, or a living, breathing document that accepts tampering.
The Constitution is the document that separates us from all other countries.  It gives us liberty, individuality, and protection from big government control.  Indeed, the second amendment is the amendment that protects all other rights, because it provides the meat for the meal.
Without the ability to protect ourselves against foes, foreign and domestic, tyrannical government or the would-be killer, we would not be America anymore.
"Firearms are second only to the Constitution in importance; they are the peoples' liberty's teeth." – -- President George Washington

FEMA plans on suspension of the US constitution exposed during Iran contra hearings. Oliver North is questioned by Jack Brooks.

Uploaded by  on Mar 14, 2011
Rex 84, short for Readiness Exercise 1984, was written by Lieutenant Colonel Oliver North, who was both National Security Council White House Aide, and NSC liaison to the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), and John Brinkerhoff, the deputy director of "national preparedness" programs for FEMA. It is a contingency plan developed by the United States federal government to suspend the United States Constitution, declare martial law, place military commanders in charge of state and local governments, and detain large numbers of American citizens who were deemed to be "national security threats", in the event that the President declared a "State of Domestic National Emergency".
They patterned the plan on a 1970 report written by FEMA chief Louis Giuffrida, at the Army War College, which proposed the detention of up to 21 million "American Negroes", if there were a black militant uprising in the United States.
The plan stated that events that might cause such a declaration would be widespread U.S. opposition to a U.S. military invasion abroad, such as if the United States were to directly invade Central America. To combat what the government perceived as "subversive activities", the plan also authorized the military to direct ordered movements of civilian populations at state and regional levels.
Existence of a master military contingency plan (of which REX-84 was a part), "Garden Plot" and a similar earlier exercise, "Lantern Spike" were originally revealed by journalist Ron Ridenhour, who summarized his findings in "Garden Plot and the New Action Army."
Rex 84 was publicly mentioned during the Iran-Contra Hearings in 1987. Transcripts from the hearing in the New York Times record the following dialogue between Congressman Jack Brooks, North's attorney Brendan Sullivan and Senator Daniel Inouye, the Democratic Chair of the Committee: ..

HURRICANE SANDY, MARTIAL LAW AND FEMA CAMPS: REHEARSAL FOR FUTURE AMERICA?

    by Darren Weeks, November 15, 2012, NewsWithViews.com

During the 1980s Iran Contra hearings, Lt. Col. Oliver North was questioned by Congressman Jack Brooks concerning North's role in the development of a continuity-of-government plan called "Rex 84" ("Readiness Exercise 1984"), under which the U.S. Constitution would be suspended, and people moved into FEMA camps in the event of a major disaster. Upon being questioned, the look of absolute fury on North's face was telling, as if some great secret had just been revealed. Immediately thereafter, the questioning of Congressman Brooks was shut down by the committee chair on the grounds that the subject touched upon a "highly sensitive and classified area." The short exchange is documented in a video here.

FEMA and the National Security Police State

Executive Orders have been on the books for a half century now, empowering the Federal Emergency Management Agency to take control of everything from public and private communications, energy and transportation to housing and more. Most disturbing is that these presidential decrees encompass the registration and seizure of people, including the separation of family members, should the government find it necessary.

These orders have been revised and updated throughout the years by different presidents, regardless of party affiliation. Until recently, they have operated under the premise of some great national emergency that would justify the use of such draconian measures. That premise disappeared on March 16, 2012 when Barack Obama signed Executive Order 13603, titled "National Defense Resources Preparedness".

In this Executive Order, Obama essentially gave himself the authority to declare Martial Law in times of war or peace. Section 310 authorized the heads of "each agency engaged in procurement for the national defense" to "take appropriate action to ensure that critical components, critical technology items, essential materials, and industrial resources are available from reliable sources when needed to meet defense requirements during peacetime, graduated mobilization, and national emergency." Throughout the document, the phrase "in peacetime and in times of national emergency" is repeatedly used. The Order outlined specific duties, assigned to the heads of all of the major federal agencies, who would form a "Defense Production Act Committee."
Speculation has circled for years as to when these plans might be utilized. With the advent of the government-orchestrated false-flag attacks of September 11, 2001, the feds have been increasingly hostile to the American people, our freedom, and privacy. Everyone has become a suspect in the government's war OF terror.
    Lessons From Louisiana
When Hurricane Katrina tore through New Orleans, there was flooding and storm damage. But the greatest destruction and devastation was not caused by the hurricane itself, but by the breached levees. But was it the hurricane that caused the levees to fail?
Eyewitnesses were interviewed who said they witnessed helicopters flying above the levees, which were accompanied by explosions on the levees. These eyewitnesses swear that the levees were blown.
In the aftermath of the Katrina fiasco, many people died due to a lack of clean drinking water, food, and shelter. Federal agencies were of no help. In fact, it seemed clear to those of us who were observing the story unfold at the time, that the federal "relief" agencies actually appeared to be hindering assistance operations. Volunteers and supplies were turned away, communications were cut, and agents went door to door confiscating the firearms of those who remained in their homes. Remember, for your own safety, be a good victim.
Just when it seemed as though nothing could get any worse, President George W. Bush added insult to injury by praising Michael Brown, the FEMA director, at a press conference by saying, "Brownie, you're doing a heck of a job." I lot of people thought the comment was laughable. It would have been, unless "Brownie" was doing exactly what he was supposed to be doing and the chaos, suffering, and deaths were all intentional.
    Order Out of Chaos
As Hurricane Sandy made it's track up the east coast, I remember thinking how odd it was that the forecasters had predicted that it would take a hard left-hand turn toward the northwest. Most storms of its kind tend to be pushed out into the Atlantic, toward the northeast by the jet stream. One meteorologist from the Weather Channel blamed a high-pressure wind system that he called a "blocking high" which changed the flow of the jet stream, a phenomenon he called "peculiar." But, he noted, we've seen an increase in these "blocking highs" in recent years.
U.S. Patent No. 4,686,605 was one of three original patents awarded to Bernard Eastlund in 1987. Eastlund had worked with ARCO Power Technologies Incorporated (APTI), a subsidiary of Atlantic Richfield Company. APTI was the original contractor that built the High Frequency Active Auroral Research Program (HAARP) station in Gakona, Alaska, in the early 1990s. This patent dealt with "Method and apparatus for altering a region in the earth's atmosphere, ionosphere, and/or magnetosphere" and, among other things, included the following application, specifically mentioned in the patent:
"This invention has a phenomenal variety of possible ramifications and potential future developments. As alluded to earlier, missile or aircraft destruction, deflection, or confusion could result, particularly when relativistic particles are employed. Also, large regions of the atmosphere could be lifted to an unexpectedly high altitude so that missiles encounter unexpected and unplanned drag forces with resultant destruction or deflection of same."
If the technology can be used to interfere with missiles, could it also be used to block or steer jet streams? Could this technology be the source of the "high pressure blocking", mentioned by the meteorologist? The patent goes on to say:
"Weather modification is possible by, for example, altering upper atmosphere wind patterns or altering solar absorption patterns by constructing one or more plumes of atmospheric particles which will act as a lens or focusing device."
The question needs to be asked: Was Hurricane Sandy steered into the coast by a modification of the jet stream for the purpose of creating a crisis situation?
That question has further significance with the revelation that the state of New Jersey had issued a five year contract with Radiant RFID for "an RFID-based managed evacuation solution that tracks evacuees, pets, emergency transport vehicles and commodities deployed at state shelters in preparation for and in the event of a hurricane, natural disaster or other incident to assist in reunification of families." After reading the press release from Radiant RFID, Aaron Dykes remarked, "Hurricane Sandy formed just four days later, October 22, making for notable timing as New England hasn't been hard hit by a hurricane since 1938.
Who could have seen the devastation to New York, New Jersey and other parts of the East Coast coming when that area hadn't been hit by a major hurricane for some 70 years?"
One might say the officials had impeccable timing. A little too impeccable?
Problem, Reaction, Solution - The Hegelian Dialectic
A state of Martial Law has been declared in Seaside Heights, New Jersey. Local TV station WPVI reported on the storm damage, the struggles of survivors, and the frustration from homeowners that were not allowed in to see whether or not they still had a house. The station reported, "It's hard to conceive of how long that could take. Seaside Heights and nearby towns are under martial law." They went on to include a quote from police chief Tom River. "We know people are there, we're keeping an eye on them, and they need to stay on their property. If they come off their property to come off the island, then they don't get back on."
Other areas were said to be pondering a Martial Law declaration as well. In Pennsylvania, the Wilkes-Barre city council voted to "bestow emergency powers" upon Mayor Tom Leighton, according to the Times-Tribune. The mayor didn't use the power, wisely recognizing the police already had enough power under civilian law to deal with crime, looters, and other unlawful acts. The paper then stressed the gravity of a Martial Law declaration.
"Martial law is not simply an emergency declaration. It is the suspension of civil rights and assumption of all authority by the police or military, which in a democracy [sic] are supposed to be under civilian control.

"The measure is so extreme that, on the national level, it has been imposed exactly once - by Abraham Lincoln. Despite the obvious calamity posed by the Civil War, Mr. Lincoln's imposition of martial law and suspension of habeas corpus remains controversial.

"An approaching storm, even portending natural disaster, should not prompt local elected officials to raise the prospect of such drastic measures. Police have adequate authority under existing civilian law. Council members should focus instead on effective emergency responses."
The reporter was right, except for one thing. The united States of America is not a democracy. We are a Constitutional Republic. This means that "We The People" are the government, and we have unalienable rights which come from God, and therefore government has no authority to take them away.
But "take them away" is exactly what they are doing. We now have CBS News reporting that evacuees have been taken to FEMA camps, and the state of New York is actually pondering the transfer of storm victims to a prison! The New York Post reported on November 9th,
"The state is eyeing the recently shuttered Arthur Kill Correctional Facility on Staten Island as a temporary home for people displaced by the ravages of Sandy and this week's nasty nor'easter, officials said yesterday.
"Closed last December, the medium-security prison could feed and sleep as many as 900 people with nowhere else to go."
If the prison is opened and the people are transferred there, presumably there will be security officers there to keep the peace. Will the prison's new residents be allowed to leave?
Residents, housed inside the FEMA camps, describe the deplorable environment there. They shiver in the bitter cold, without heat, while Black Hawk helicopters buzz overhead.
Furthermore, they are being isolated from the outside world. "No media is allowed inside the fenced complex," reports the Asbury Park Press. "All the while, a black car with tinted windows crests the hill and cruises by, as if to check on the proceedings," the paper reported. Communications were also being cut. Evacuees were not allowed to take pictures, Wi-Fi was shut down, and officials would not allow evacuees to charge their cell phones. They claimed there was not enough power.
One resident summed it up thusly, "Everybody is angry over here. It's like being in prison."
We've been warning for years that Martial Law was coming to America. With each orchestrated, Hegelian event, the likelihood has drawn ever closer. From the ever-nearing financial cliff, to manufactured pandemics and lab-produced influenzas, to created food shortages, and geoengineered weather events -- each scenario provides the potential excuse to pull the plug on our freedom. And along the way, we see evidence that the government is engaging in trial runs.
Regardless of whether or not the reader believes Hurricane Sandy was a manipulated storm system, local officials' reaction to it are beginning to form a very unsettling picture. The precedents are being set on a local level for the unfolding of a totalitarian police state. It is this writer's belief that these incidents are test cases to gauge the public reaction, study behaviors, and ultimately desensitize the nation to the idea that Martial Law and the suspension of our rights is an acceptable and necessary solution to every crisis scenario.
We are witnessing the unfolding of a new norm. Whether real or promulgated by government, when crisis strikes, a declaration of Martial Law will be made, and the only right you will have is to do exactly as you're told.

Coming to America? Mexican Gun Owners forced to defy laws?

Mexicans not having had an equivalent to our 2nd Amendment's history helps to explain how some of their U.S. compadres and relativos voted on Nov. 6th.  Against armed criminals and lack of police protection, on the Mexican side of the border, they are now coming to realize that disarmed civilians are helpless when they are kept unarmed.  It's time for Mexico to withdraw, as the U.S. should, and join Russia in opposing the U.N. Gun Ban Treaty and at the same time institute the Right to Keep and Bear Arms in Mexico.  Mexico is another "poster child" for why draconian gun control laws are an absolute failure and serve only to strengthen the power of criminales over both honest people and a weakened government. -- rfh

Gun owners feel forced to defy laws in Mexico
by Sybil Hoffman, AZFamily.com, Tuesday, Nov 13
    COLONIA LEBARON, Mexico --
Mexico has some of the toughest gun-control laws in the world, but drug cartels have well-stocked arsenals.  For law-abiding citizens, it's difficult and expensive to apply for a gun permit.  It's why many gun owners decide to defy the law.
The seemingly tranquil region at the foot of the Sierra Madre Mountains is home to some of Mexico's most avid gun owners.
"Just a local citizen?  It's nearly impossible to own a gun -- legally," said resident Brent LeBaron.
In Mexico the military enforces the law limiting the caliber and quantity of guns an individual can own.  Carrying a weapon is illegal unless you belong to a gun club .
Mexico's military issues gun club permits for sporting or hunting purposes.
Gun club members are allowed to own up to 10 weapons, but the military runs the one gun store in Mexico.  So where do the guns come from?  The black market.  Gun owners in this region suspect many are smuggled across the border from the United States.
Daniel Madrid, a gun club member, told us, "mainly from Texas."      Angela Kocherga reporting from near Casas Grandes, Mexico, said, "One of the challenges for gun owners in in Mexico is the price of ammunition.  This one box of 50 rounds costs as much as 500 rounds in the U.S."
The high price of ammunition is not an issue for heavily armed drug cartels.
"I wish that Mexico would change that and give us the right to bear arms," LeBaron said.
But many others in Mexico balk at the idea of allowing ordinary citizens to arm themselves.
A small-business owner who lived in Arizona for a couple of years said so many people carried guns, "it was like the Wild West."
Alex LeBaron is a Chihuahua state representative who calls the region home.  He said while he doesn't own a gun, he does have weapons.
"We've become a standard for self-defense, a standard for unity, a standard for standing up for a certain cause," LeBaron said.      He said views about gun ownership for self-defense are changing, especially among young people.  But nobody expects gun laws to change anytime soon.
According to the Mexican military requests for the permits required to start a gun club have grown steadily the past few years.

(Apr11)   In 8 years, President Bush added $5 trillion to the national debt; President Obama, according to a revised Dec11 GAO report, added $4T+ to the U.S. deficit in 2011 alone!  The GAO estimates the deficit, including o'scamcare & mandates, may grow from $15T+ to over $26T+!  UPDATE: A little-noticed event occurred at approximately midnight on Monday, October 31, 2011.  The National Debt exceeded the GDP!  Imagine what these numbers are going to be now that Obama is reelected! A trillion seconds pass in 31,688 years.  At $1/sec it would take 41,194 years just to pay off o'tax'n spend's new Feb12-Feb13 added debt - 538,696 years to pay only the national debt or 4,404,632 years to settle the debt+unfunded liabilities!

"Over the last four years our national debt has risen nearly $6 trillion, and just last week the debt topped an astounding $16 trillion.  To put that in perspective, $16 trillion is enough money to fund the US military, along with the military of every NATO country combined… for the next sixteen years!  Government spending is projected to hit $3.8 trillion this year alone.  Even after every tax dollar paid by Americans has been counted, the government will still overspend by another $1.13 trillion.  Every single second of the day our government spends over $12,000.  So in the time it takes you to read this article, roughly five minutes, our government has spent $3.6 million.  It take four seconds for the government to spend what the average American earns in an entire year."  (source: by Tim Phillips 17Sep12 at TownHall.com)
