Sen. Barbara Boxer was greeted by about 120 protesters outside Barnes & Noble Booksellers, 3600 Stevens Creek Blvd., San Jose on Aug.15 where she made brief appearance to sign her second novel Blind Trust.

Boxer was accompanied by her San Francisco Office assistants and security personnel. The group remained relatively peaceful in its protest of healthcare reform.

About 100 people showed up at the bookstore for the brief reading and question-and-answer session.
