A Washington-based conservative group (TVC) is notifying Americans when and where their U.S. senators and representative will be holding healthcare town hall meetings this month.

The Traditional Values Coalition (TVC) is offering the free service and is encouraging Americans to take part in the town hall meetings in their congressional district. TVC executive director Andrea Lafferty says the events are an opportunity for Americans to register genuine concerns, not the "manufactured outrage" the White House claims is on display at the town halls.

"Most members of Congress, both House and Senate, will be home at some point in August, in early September; and through Traditional Values Coalition we can tell you exactly where they're going to hold their meeting and at what time," she notes. "It's summer. Most kids haven't returned to school yet, and this will be a valuable civics lesson for your children, your grandchildren, friends, and family."

Lafferty believes President Obama and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-California_ have been surprised by the level of anger directed toward their policies.

"People are saying 'no' and they've pushed the president back on his heels," she contends. "It took President Obama six months to pick a dog for the White House; it should take more than a few weeks to address a healthcare system that many believe is the best in the world."

The Democratic National Committee has referred to protesters at healthcare town hall meetings as an "angry mob," while House Speaker Pelosi calls the protests "Astroturf" (implying staged grassroots activism). She claims that protesters are "carrying swastikas and symbols like that to a town meeting on healthcare."
