With Obama's Promise, It Looks Like All Leaders Agree Illegal Aliens Shouldn't Be Part Of Federal Insurance Plan
By Roy Beck, Friday, September 11, 2009
For the moment, I want to step back from questions of lying, sincerity and deception. The big picture for the week is that the President's pledge to Congress that illegal aliens will not benefit from his federal health plan has pretty well established that everybody who is anybody agrees that it would be wrong to include illegal aliens. That's a victory, folks. Read More » |
E-Verify Victory Today Follows A Year Of Your Constant Efforts
By Roy Beck, Tuesday, September 8, 2009
Time after time after time over the last year, NumbersUSA's members mobilized to advance E-Verify and close off millions more jobs to illegal aliens. And just as many times, you suffered defeat. It is oh so difficult to maintain perseverance, but you did and yours led to a gigantic victory today as the Obama Administration made a huge leap in immigration enforcement. Read More » |
THIS LABOR DAY: Elites Decry Horrible Worker Situation -- but only a few recognize their immigration policies making it worse
By Roy Beck, Monday, September 7, 2009
On a dismal day for America's workers, I see a few bright spots that all of us connected to NumbersUSA could make brighter through focused activism this fall. But the utter hypocrisy and insanity of the elites is on full display as they lament the huge oversupply of workers for jobs after 21 months of a recession in which they have called for more immigration to meet what they claim is a U.S. "worker shortage!" Pres. Obama Says 'NO' to Healthcare for Illegal Aliens
Throughout the summer, NumbersUSA has been trying to accomplish two things. First, we wanted to get out the message that the House health care reform bill, H.R. 3200, provides loopholes allowing illegal aliens to get health care. And second, inform you when and where your Members of Congress would be hosting town hall meetings so you can confront them on the issue. Thanks to your efforts Pres. Obama was forced to respond, and during his nationally televised address to a joint session of Congress, he pledged that health care reform would not extend benefits to illegal aliens. Now, we need your help again. Our fax machines have been quiet the last couple of days, but we've got new faxes for the President and your three Members of Congress ready to go. Visit your Action Buffet now. Thank the President for opposing health care to illegal aliens and urge him to back up his promise by ensuring that proper verification procedures are in any legislation. Then send a fax to your Reps, urging them to help Pres. Obama ensure that verification is included in any health care reform bill. Also, the executive order that mandates federal contractors to use E-Verify went into effect this week. Your pressure on Congress and the Administration helped make sure it wasn't delayed yet again!
