Firearms, California AB 357: License To Carry Concealed Firearm
This bill converts California's concealed weapons permitting system from a 'may' issue to a 'shall' issue. More than 30 states have moved to a 'shall' issue state. The undisputed facts are that the expanded issuance of concealed weapons around the country has not resulted in problems or crimes by permit holders. This proposal would solve the issue of arbitrary standards, and create a fair and equitable process for all applicants. -- quoted from: http://republican.assembly.ca.gov/member/36/?p=myLeg,

Most everyone knows how this works but in case you don't, here is a good strategy for the few days we have to take action on this issue.
1) You can write a short e-mail and send it to all the 7 offices at the same time by using the "one click" feature on the Cal NRA page here: http://www.calnra.com
the direct link to the bill and the "one click" for e-mailing all of the offices at once is here: http://nramemberscouncils.com/legs.shtml?summary=ab357&year=2010
2) Next, you can take the same letter you just e-mailed and fax it to each office so it will be there when they open up Monday.
( emails and phone calls count as 1 vote & personal letters mailed or faxed in count as 10 votes on the tally sheets !!! )

Here are the fax numbers for the Sacramento offices:
Tom Ammiano (916) 319-2113
Curt Hagman (916) 319-2160
Warren T. Furutani (916) 319-2155
Danny D. Gilmore (916)-319-2130
Jerry Hill (916) 319-2119
Fiona Ma (916) 319-2112
Nancy Skinner (916) 319-2014
Warren T. Furutani (916) 319-2155
Danny D. Gilmore (916)-319-2130
Jerry Hill (916) 319-2119
Fiona Ma (916) 319-2112
Nancy Skinner (916) 319-2014
3) Lastly, you can call each office on Monday and ask the assembly member to support AB 357 as the vote is the next day. One office said today a lot of calls where coming in from the El Centro area. Good to hear !
See you all at the range Sunday !
